Hunan's

MY REVIEW: I like their Viet. food and soups, but their Chinese is so so. When I order take out if pick it up because it takes a long time if they deliver.

MY REVIEW: Beware: Worst take out I've had so far. I should have been suspicious when the lady taking our order was more concerned with our CC number than what we wanted to order. Needless to say, she came off as slightly rude.

We ordered spicy beef and General Ts chicken. They were both horrible. The General T's had an overly tangy taste and the veggies in the beef tasted as though they were ready to spoil. The hot and spicy soup was equally dissatisfying. The best thing on there was the fried rice and the corn chicken soup. Will not order from here again.

MY REVIEW: This is not a place to have a great gourmet meal. It is simply a very nice neighborhood restaurant serving very good Chinese food adappted for American tastes. The House Special Soup is wonderful and comes from the kitchen so hot you can barely eat it. The review from Mherrin below rings false to me and I am a diner who has been many, many times over the past ten or more years. What's not to like about Hunan's? I always ask them to prepare my dishes without any sugar and they always oblige with a smile. Everything I have had is delicious here.

There is no better place for American style Chinese in Houston than this very pleasant place.

MY REVIEW: Used to live close to Hunan's and ate there often. Wonderful food. Really miss it since moving to Sugar Land. Pan Fried Dumplings are excellent, Kung Pao Beef is the best, so is the Gen Tso's Chicken and the Shredded Pork. Very difficult to write this review as I haven't found it's match in Sugar Land and miss the rich, flavorful sauces and the fresh ingredients. (sigh...)

MY REVIEW: I love Hunan's so much. My favorite is Wonton soup as an entree, sesame chicken as main course,and a shirley temple( yeah I still drink them! :) ) The people that work there are so polite. If you're high matinence, don't worry. They will get your order right the first time, guarenteed. 2 Thumbs Up and 5 golden stars for Hunan's!!!

MY REVIEW: First time visit...will not go back. I eat Chinese food at least once a week and this was some of the worse I have had in Houston. The chicken-corn soup was kinda warm...and the food I got was so-so...a buffet would have been better. Houston has too many Chinese places that are 100% better.

MY REVIEW: Excellent restaurant! For dine in or take out. Try the fried crab rangoon, and something new on the menu, vietnamese egg rolls wrapped in lettuce, amazing flavor. Always a friendly staff, wonderful service, great prices!

I'm thrilled that I live close enough to go often for lunches and with friends for dinner. Tucked away in a little shopping center, from the outside it doesn't look like much....but the food is fantastic and consistantly excellent.

This place everyone will enjoy.

MY REVIEW: This is the best food for non-buffet Chinese I have ever had. Some weeks I have gone multiple times. Best General T's there is. Sauce is amazing. And everything else there is delicious too. I sure wish there was more than one so I could go on weekends. I work at the Med Center so I only get to go during the week. Usually not too crowded. I've never had a wait to get in more than 5 min and the atmosphere is not too loud and the food comes out pretty fast. I'd geive them 10 stars if there was a place to rate stars! :)

MY REVIEW: I found this restaurant because I work down the street. Not only do I take out for lunch, but have brought friends here for dinner. Very clean, attentive service and fresh food. All pre-requisites for making this my "new" favorite Chinese restaurant. I always tell everyone about it! Two thumbs up!
