MY REVIEW: I was very underwhelmed by this place. When I walked in my eyes popped out at the beautiful buffet... trouble was, not very much tasted good. The hommus and baba ghanouj were excellent, but you can get as good for less than the cost of this buffet. Everything else, from the salads down, was lukewarm and bland. I kept blurting out "This needs more lemon/vinegar/salt/feta/red pepper/SOMEthing." The baklava and ladyfingers were soggy. It's true that $12 wouldn't buy as much food in other Mediterranean places in Clear Lake, but I could get something that actually tasted good.

MY REVIEW: I have always loved Dimassi's food. However, I will have to say ever since they moved out of Rice Village, this is the VERY first time I actually FOUND them in the medical center. Perssonally, I wish them all the success in their business. We were there at 6:30pm and the restuarnat was only filled 20% full. I would say this is related to the location. They are practically the corner store and no one really will be able to see it nor pay attention to it until they drive pass it on Kirby. There weren't any signs facing the Old Spanish Trail Road. I wish them all the best and hope that they will stick around to serve all the vegetarians.

MY REVIEW: I have always found the food to be very tasty. As a friend I go with says, "Each food has a distinct taste - a good taste." He is a vegetarian and really likes the variety he finds. I also like the variety of offerings and the fact that fat has been reduced. They do an excellent job. I highly recommend it.

MY REVIEW: This place is AWESOME! What a fabulous selection of fresh, healthy and excellent food! One dish after the other is like a who's who of today's much touted "super foods" and delicious to boot! The restaurant is immaculate and the staff and manager are very friendly and accomodating. The price is amazing also (9.99 lunch, 11.99 dinner) especially for such high quality and highly certified offerings. The hummus and tabuli are the best I've ever had anywhere.

MY REVIEW: I'm so glad they finally opened a Dimassi's in the Clear Lake area! It's a welcome addition. I went there on a Monday night with a group of friends and we all enjoyed it. The food is fresh and there is a nice variety of items. I see a lot of bad reviews here and I'm not sure why. The food at this location is just as good as the Richmond location and the old Rice Village location. I do hope business picks up here, because I'd hate to see it close.

MY REVIEW: I've eaten at the Webster store 4 times since they recently opened. Seems to me they are listening to customer's constructive critism, because they are making some changes. Now you pay AFTER eating----good move. Temperature of some of the dishes is warmer than before. Deserts are now kept under a plastic dome so they stay fresher, not stale. They offer alot of choices on the buffet, and I have my favorites which I think are very tasty. On my last visit there was different manager and he must be the reason things are improving. If I could make one suggestion, it would be concerning the bread. They do bake it on premises in an open oven (like a pizza oven) in plain view. I wish when fresh hot bread is ready they would let patrons know. The cold loaves just don't compare to hot.

MY REVIEW: We went to the Katy Fwy restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. There was a great variety of tasty food and judging from all the foreign accents it is popular among people who know what Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food should taste like! The only downer was the bread - it was cold and doughy. We will definitely go back though.

MY REVIEW: I've eaten at the Richmond location several times and was pleasantly surprised that this new Bay Area location compares favorably. Yes, it is a buffet----some items are better than others. And temps of some of the items could be warmer. But the price is right and there are enough outstanding dishes which makes this a good place to eat middle eastern food. They have a large selection of meats, salads, veggies and sweets----so anyone should be able to find plenty of good things to eat. I especially enjoy the sautee' eggplant, shredded beef, lamb shank, babbaganoush, hummus, falafel and cucumber salad. You can really eat healthy here for a bargain. OK, the cabbage rolls were tasteless, baked fish was dry, 2-3 rice dishes were off-temperture, but the selection is so big that you stick with the good ones, and leave full and satisfied. And you get to leave with some money in your wallet. So it doesn't bother me that they expect you to pay up front, because I've eaten at the Richmond store enough to know which dishes are reliable----and I've come to know that there are more hits than misses at this buffet.

MY REVIEW: Wow excellent food. Great staff. Very professional. The food is awesome and makes you not want to leave. Its just amazing. You can tell and taste that its not a Cheap buffet its top of the line and expensive food in a BUFFET for only 10 bucks!! When do u ever see a buffet with lamb shank and shredded beef that taste so damn good? The deserts (baklawa and lady fingers) are so delicious and looks alot of time and effort is put into them. Overall its a excellent place and will be going back very often.

MY REVIEW: We stopped at the new Dimassi's in Webster. It met our expectations, having been to various locations around the city. The interior is pretty sterile looking, but much cleaner than some of the other locations. The food was just as good as other locations. Plenty of different regional dishes to choose from--Mediterranean and Middle Eastern (which is considered mediterranean also--see previous post). Tons of fresh vegetables. I love this buffet, because you can get a huge array of fresh, flavorful food. It's not all chicken fried steak and enchiladas for a change. The staff at this location seem to have their stuff together. It was busy when we went, but the buffet stayed stocked. We'll definitely be back.

MY REVIEW: We went to the new DiMassi's in Webster-- near the Barnes & Noble by the Gulf Freeway. Very clean inside, but also very plain. Plus you have to pay for your meal before you even walk to the buffet-- which should have been our first clue to just leave. The food is more Middle Eastern than Mediterranean. Some of the dishes were not hot enough, the chicken was over-cooked, other dishes were just plain cold. The bread was straight out of the package-- could have used them as little "frisbees." Half of the desserts were stale, some of the fruit was over-ripe. Ambiance? There wasn't any. This type of restaurant is half a step up from a fast-food place. Come to think of it, in a fast-food restaurant, you also have to pay for your food before you get it. But at least at M*cDonald's, the burgers are hot, the buns are warm, the fries aren't stale, and they don't have nerve-splitting music spilling out of the speakers. We wouldn't go back to this restaurant if they were giving the food away for free. Restaurant? It isn't a restaurant, it's a cafeteria. And if we want cafeteria food, we'd just go to L*uby's--- the food is always hot there, and nothing is ever stale. Don't bother with this one... there are too many good ethic restaurants in the Houston area to waste your time and your money on less-than-great food.

MY REVIEW: They have great food at reasonable prices including a huge variety of salads and Middle Eastern style meats. My only complaint is with the atmosphere, as they have TV's playing Lebanese shows that nobody is paying attention to and the place needs a bath and a coat of paint. Somebody needs to clean the ceiling tiles!

MY REVIEW: My husband and I visit every few weeks. We enjoy the variety of good food, healthiness of many dishes, reasonable prices, and the fact that it's rarely too crowded. Sitting by the aquarium is fun.

You pay for the number of buffets you want before you eat, as you go in. I've often wondered why there is a "tip" line on the credit card slip when there is absolutely no service. But its rather nice not to be bothered by anyone, and I'm sure you could round up an employee if you needed to.

I do have a complaint - the hot foods are not hot enough! The steam tables don't seem to do a good job, even when taking the food from the bottom of the pans. Otherwise the food is delicious and the pita bread is always being freshly made. But I wish a microwave oven was available so we could zap our dishes for a few seconds to make it hotter!

MY REVIEW: Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted by the cashier. The food is very delicious! Fresh and warm. The pita bread could be maintained warmer. The buffet table is clean and fully stocked. I did suggest the coffee needs to be hot not room temperature. By the time I got to to my seat my coffee was cold! My family and I enjoy this establishment and will continue going back for more.

MY REVIEW: I think that the previous reviewer was unfair, although I go there for lunch and have not been there for dinner. My co-workers and I make it a point to go every week. The place is a buffet and everything is self-serve. There are no waiters, only busboys to clean tables as people leave.

I have always found the food to be fresh. The salads and dips are excellent. The vegetables and meat dishes are always hot and there is always hot pita coming out of the oven. If I were to come up with a complaint it would be that there is too much buffet space dedicated to dishes for children.

MY REVIEW: The Worst Mediterranean restaraunt that I have been to in the Houston area. After you pay for the dinner buffet, you don't receive any service (including drink refills). The bread was hard and cold (even when we watched them refill the bread tray). Most of the hot items were luke warm, and the lamb didn't taste like lamb at all. But if you don't trust me and my wife, then go waste your money. I attempted to write a review a month ago, but I guess they refused to post it since I recommended a much better restaraunt. Apparently you are not allowed to do that on this site.

MY REVIEW: If you like mediterranean food, this place is heaven. If you like a good value for good quality, again, heaven. I can't see why it is not busier.

If you are looking for quiet, romantic, mood and ambiance, this is not the place- think cafeterria, but with middle eastern touches.

MY REVIEW: AWESOME FOOD and ambiance :D

The salads and the entrees are awesome, especially the tabouli and the lamb - the chicken is good too and the cabbage rolls are absolutely amazing - I don't know how they stay in business providing such copious amounts of food!

The pita bread is also the best I have tasted in Houston (soft and fluffy).

The desserts - the baklava and the semolina cake leave a bit to be desired but the roll is good.

Overall - my favorite restaurant in Houston!

MY REVIEW: The food is excellent. This is by far one of my favorite places for lunch. I go here frequently because the hummus is simply out of this world, the bread is fresh made, the salads are fresh and seem to be preservative free.

The staff is not as friendly as I would like, but the food is so great, it's negligible. There is a sign on the wall that states that too much left overs will cause them to raise their prices. This kind of freaks me out, how are you supposed to explore to find out what you like and don't like with out leaving left overs? Are then going to hunt you down and charg you extra? I'm not going to eat food I don't like. So, it's annoying.

I fully intend on eating here on a regular basis. The food is just that yummy.

MY REVIEW: This is one of my favorite places to eat. There is an incredible varity of food, seasoned and prepared wonderfully. I particularly like the fish, lamb, okra, and salads. If you are not sure you like mediterranean you shouldn't worry because they have enough variety to satisfy anybody. I just take a very little of everything and like it all. The deserts are wonderful. The only problem I have with the place is I walk away too full. This is a must try for everyone.

MY REVIEW: My wife and I went to this buffet and it was a good decision. The variety was good and the we really liked the bread. The price is not bad for the amount of food that you get. Everything seemed fresh and we couldn't stay off the salads. We did not find one thing we were looking for: hot tea. They actually had Lipton tea which is ok but we expected to find more choices, you can find Lipton in any store. We'll come back to this restaurant.
