MY REVIEW: I used to visit Lucky Village regularly, but moved from the area. Moved back to the area, and visited Lucky Village. You are greeted with the friendliest people. They are very helpful, the food is plentiful, and a great atmosphere.

MY REVIEW: Went to this location since I live right down the street. Looks like there's a new change in management. I was greeted by a happy chinese lady who loved to conversate. She let us know some new additions to the buffet. The food has definitely turned for the better. This location is just as good as the westheimer one. I wish they had a bit more selection, but with the new additions they are definitely taking a step to the right direction.

MY REVIEW: This is overall a wonderful place to eat. Service is great. The waiters and waitresses are quick, pleasant, and drinks are refilled promptly. Atmosphere is nice also and a large seating area with different types of tables and booths. The buffet is not too crowded like at some other places. A large selection of foods. I especially like the clear spring rolls, baked and cold mussels, and variety of sushi and sashimi. Never had a bad experience hear--highly recommend!!!

MY REVIEW: 1. Courteous escort and seating at the table - request for drink
2. Four areas of selection: 1) Chinese specialties; 2) Meats, pasta; 3) Salads and 4) desserts (two locations), all very fresh. Can take a plate for each. Very good selection and variety for every taste
3. Continuous and diligent service, replenishing drinks.
4. Can finish a good 3-4 course meal in 30 minutes.
5. Cost of buffet for two with tips - about $20.00. Other 'a la carte' option exist.
6. Ambiance very favorable - universal ethnic.
Recommend 5-stars

MY REVIEW: Even though I know that there are better places to eat,...I've been going to this place for a while, since its probably the closest chinese food place next to my work. But in the past few weeeks, they seem to have stopped ordering their ussual cheesecake. I say this because the cheesecake they have out now-a-days does not come with a crust (which used to be the only reason i kept going back to this buffet place). The cheesecake they have out now looks almost like somebody went through it and stripped the crust off before i could get to it. PLEASE, try and bring back the crust.

MY REVIEW: Strong points: friendly, helpful staff.
Weak points: bland food.
I cannot understand why my friends like to go there. I agree to go just to be with them. My family use to eat at the one on Westheimer/Beltway and it was excellent so I was really surprised at the not so good experience at Dairy Ashford.

MY REVIEW: Loved the sushi. A number of the dishes were cold, especially the chiken wings. No spicy entries. This is Texas.

MY REVIEW: We've eaten at this location many times in the past. It used to be a very good buffet but has been sliding downhill for the past several years. Our recent visit will be the last for a long time.
They have decreased the number of items being served and are very slow to refill the nearly empty trays. We were there on a Friday night and where they used to be full now there were far more empty tables than full ones.
Lucky Village needs to step up the quality or they are going to lose the remaining few customers.

MY REVIEW: I went to the Fountain View location this weekend (normally go to the Westheimer/Beltway 8 location) and the food was very mediocre compared to the Beltway 8 location. They weren't busy -- it appeared that they didn't have a fast turnover of the food put out. Just in general, the food was not as seasoned as other locations. I'll go back to the other locations instead of this one.

MY REVIEW: I've been here a couple of times with friends and family. The selection is HUGE. And they keep adding more! Admittedly, the quality isn't always that great (I would avoid the chicken wings and grilled steaks), but I kind of expected that from a buffet. At dinner, you can stock up on a lot of seafood like clams and crab. I know that some other reviewers complained about the prices, but come on, it's all you can eat including seafood and sushi! The price is fairly decent for that. The servers are always nice and clear our plates quickly and my glass is never empty. My only issue is that it gets REALLY LOUD when it's busy because all the tables are so close together and service lags a bit. But, on the upside, when it's busy, all the food is piping hot because it's constantly replaced. I still go here whenever I'm eating with boys-- their never-ending stomachs are satisfied with all the food!

MY REVIEW: Where should I begin? I was very disappointed on my first visit. First of all! There were majority of fried food (such as cheese sticks, onion rings, and imitation cheese puffs, other than the Asian food i had hoped for. Sushi was not the best or even worth visiting for. This place used to be ALOT better YEARS ago, what happened?

MY REVIEW: My family and I really love the variety of this restaurant. The atmosphere lends a classy air, and the amount of food is unbelievable. We're not fans of sushi, so I can't speak on that, but everything else is very good. I recommend the General Tso's, sweet and sour chicken, and fried corn (I'm a stickler for the classics). It's a great buffet for families with children of all ages, especially since there are foods that even kids will enjoy, and for the adventurous, there are several unusual ethnic dishes present on the bar.

MY REVIEW: The food is actually not too bad. About 50% of it is ok. The sushi is not very good at all, pretty much bad. They use a "sushi machine" to make the sushi. It comes out buttery and heavy on rice. The wasabi they serve is extremely dry. I ate here a few times and it was always the same. As far as the other food, like I said, at this location you get about 1/2 of a large variety of food that’s ok. Dont go for the sushi.

MY REVIEW: I have eaten at all the Lucky Village's, even the one that closed down. This particular location has consistently had the following.....
1) Clean Dining Area
2) Excellent waitstaff that refuses to let me run out of water or tea, and promptly rids the empty dishes. Very friendly also.
3) Good variety of entrees w/ NO DUPLICATIONS!! (meaning if you have 65 choices, its not fair to have 1/2 of those duplicated!! tsk-tsk)
4) Fast seating.... usually 1 minute from entry to entree (faster than M*cD's).
5) Reasonable prices considering the variety and quality.
The price is now $9 for weekend meals, but with the choices of American, Chinese, Grilled meats, veggies, sushi, salads, two dessert areas and a few new things added monthly, this is my favorite All-You-Can-Eat place in Houston....... and I've been to most of them.
Good Job Lucky Village...... keep up the good work.

MY REVIEW: I was very dissapointed on my last visit. There was more american food than asian. Sushi was not the best or even worth visiting again for. This place used to be alot better 7-10 years ago. What happened?
