MY REVIEW: I ate at the 290 and PM1960, a new location today and really enjoyed it. Everything from the chips and salsa was perfect and very reasonably priced. The building is very beautiful and tastfully decorated. The homemade corn tortillas were an plesant treat. Service was excellent. I sure we will have many fine meals here in the future,

MY REVIEW: Loved this place! We get chips, and guacamole free, if felt like it was endless! The waiter was nice and helped figure out vegetarian options for us, basically anything on the menu substitute beans! I'll definitely be visiting again. Wish they had this in Dallas!

MY REVIEW: We have been eating here for over 20 years and have always loved this place. Not only has the food always been delicious, but the service and staff were very good and always friendly. Unfortunately, over the years, we have seen the prices skyrocket, the food quality decline and the portions shrink considerably. They used to give you a "dollop" of guacamole and pico and your dinner items, and now it is just a bunch of diced tomatos and lettuce with maybe a thimble full of actual guacamole. And if you ask for sour cream or onions on your enchiladas (which is normal in most Mexican restaurants) expect to be charged an additional $1.50 for it ~ which is ridiculous. I hate to see this old "favorite" of ours go down so badly, but I guess nothing good lasts forever. We will still visit occasionally for the frozen Margaritas, but other than that, unless they correct the issues they have let slide, we will no longer be Mamacita "regulars".

MY REVIEW: This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the Bay Area, I've been here for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The waitstaff are amazingly attentive at any hour of the day, they never let my water glass go dry and food is served promptly. Also, despite how huge and popular this restaurant is, there always seems to be enough parking, if you don't mind hiking across the lot.
Lunch is pretty typical Mexican fare; you won't find anything too shocking on the menu, and everything is between $5 and $10. I've had their spinach enchiladas, fish tacos and crispy beef taco, and all were quite good. One time for dinner I ordered pollo en mole and it was fantastic, not too sweet, the right amount of spiciness, and the portion size was generous.
The main dining room is huge, but they also have facilities for large private parties. The place is decorated with typical Mexican kitsch, and there are some fun murals painted on the walls. The bar is very colorful and lively, and this would be a great place to hang out for a drink even if you're not eating there.
Also, their margaritas get a big thumbs up! For traditional Tex-Mex fare, this place is quite good.

MY REVIEW: Mamacita's has the best staff! everyone there comes by and shakes our hand, they are just awesome. The food is fabulous, I don't know why anyone would go anywhere else! we especially like Jackie as our waitress, but they move her around, but she always comes by to make sure everything is great!

MY REVIEW: Ok been dining here since as long as it has been open. Many times 2 times a week. My kids were raised on this stuff. My daughter had here wedding rehearsal there even. Sadly it seems to be going down hill. The menus are falling apart, the booth cushions are worn so much you sink to the wood and are very uncomfortable. The food is still fairly good but the prices are now higher than P*apasitos and the food is not of that quality or quantity. If I am paying top dollar I expect a fancier dining experience. I remember when Joe Jr. was there to make sure everything was done right. It seemed a friendlier place back then and was a pleasure to visit. Joe Jr. moved to another location and this one went downhill fast. Time to clean up your act. If you are going to charge top price deliver like a top shelf restaurant. Until then I'm taking my business elsewhere sadly.

MY REVIEW: I'm sitting here with a cold plate of food in front of me... A new item in their menu called stuffed avocado. Its chicken fajita meet stuffed inside a fried avocado. It came out cold TWICE! I sent it back the first time because the inside was cold. The second time it came out it was chilled on the inside, atleast the cheese actually melted this time around. Needless to say I'm ordering something else now

MY REVIEW: My husband and I had dinner at Mamacita's after hearing rave reviews from a family member. The food was okay. Nothing to really scream about. I had their beef enchiladas. They were good, but I was expecting more flavor. My husband had fajitas and he enjoyed them.
It was a Friday night and the place was packed, but we were seated quickly. The waiter did his best to keep all of his tables satisfied.

MY REVIEW: This place is hard to beat for a Mexican breakfast. I can't believe it's been a year since I was here??? Had the Tex Mex breakfast: 2 eggs over enchiladas (for $1.50 I substituted beef for cheese), potatoes grilled with red & green bell peppers and their signature refried black beans served with 3 homemade flour tortillias. Breakfast of champions!
One (experienced) waiter & busboy took good care of the 10-12 tables that were occupied this Good Friday morning.

MY REVIEW: Very good but the staff isn't that friendly which makes me not want to dine there. Also they are a little stingy on the guacamole and sour cream. Beware of coupons... ask before ordering! Other than that the food is delish!

MY REVIEW: I first ate at the Pasadena Mamacita's on Valentine's Day of this year, and have been back at least once a month since then. On every visit I have been very happy with the experience. Even when it is crowded, it never takes long to get a table; chips and salsa hit the table almost instantaneously; service always rates at least good, if not excellent; food is always hot, tasty, and generously portioned; drinks are strong, and the atmosphere is festive. What's not to like! Mamacita's has quickly become one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in town!

MY REVIEW: We always looked forward to going to Mamacita's on Saturday night...food, atmosphere, wait staff, and FABULOUS music.....it was always a highlight to our week. Then, a couple of weeks ago we go to have our fun Saturday night and were told that the talented duo that played such diverse music were no longer there. We were so disappointed! I don't know who let them go but that was a BAD business decision as far as we're concerned!! We aren't planning to go back until they return.....PLEASE!!!

MY REVIEW: We usually eat at the Nasa location and have found it to be wonderful. The Spencer location, however, is far from it. Food was tolerable but not particularly good. The red and green salsa were both good. The service was horrible and so were the ill behaved children running everywhere. Our waiter looked like he would rather be anywhere doing anything else. We wont return. It was particularly disappointing after expecting the same quality as we get from the other location.

MY REVIEW: I'm surprised more reviews aren't posted for Mamacita's Clear Lake location because this is darn good food. Today for lunch I tried for the first time a dish named Poblano Special, or something like that. I believe it was #12 on the lunch menu. It's beef fajita meat topped with poblano (sp?) peppers, white cheese and grilled onions. Very good. And served with 4 of their homemade flour tortillas. You'll need all 4 because there's alot of food to stuff in them. Again, I substituted for black refried beans and, as always, they were great.
Pretty decent value @ about $10. Service is always reliable.

MY REVIEW: We received a coupon in the mail for Mamacita's Mexican Restaurant. The coupon offered $5 off and showed it expired in April. It did not have any other requirements listed on the coupon. After eating, we gave it to out waitress and she immediately told us that the coupon was not good at that location but she would check. We thought was strange because we live far North of that location and and the other two locations are almost an hour drive away from us. She came back and said the coupon was for that location but it was not good on weekends. We asked why it did not say that on the coupon and she said that is what the manager told her. If we would have known that we would have just gone another day instead of driving down to that location. We will never go back to this restaurant.
