MY REVIEW: Once again, CPK is going to have to decide whether they're catering to the upscale pizza or Happy Meal crowd. Went for lunch with a co-worker on a Thursday, not very busy, but were seated next to oblivious mom with two very energetic, tumbling, falling on the floor, kicking our table young girls who ruined our meal. Great food as always, but for $15 single serve pizzas, where does CPK get off treating us as if we're at C*huckie Cheese's? Can't anyone in management figure out to put the daycare on one side and the grownups on the other? If they don't, CPK is doomed.

MY REVIEW: Me and my wife have eaten here three times now. The food has always been good but the service is slow. I always get the tequella lime chicken and chicken chowder soup. My wife usally gets one of the salads. The prices are a little on the high side.

MY REVIEW: After buying one of their frozen pizzas at kroger's and thoroughly enjoying it, I couldn't wait to try the restaurant. I went with a girlfriend and we were both very disappointed with our pizzas. She got a hawaiian pizza and I got a white pizza. Soggy crust, undersized, undersauced and overpriced is all I have to say. I will buy their frozen supermarket pizza but I won't be going back to the restaurant.

MY REVIEW: My family and I met there on Saturday, after a day of Christmas shopping. While the food was out of this world (I had the Thai chicken salad and the Chicken chowder), the service was horrible. Our waiter never offered us bread we had to ask for it, and he brought it with our meal, that came almost 45 minutes after we ordered. Half way through our meal, they sat a party behind us with 5 very loud boys under the age of 10. The place is pretty loud on it's own, but add 5 ill behaved children, and you have an unpleasant dining experience. It probably would have been easier to get Satan to become a Christian, than to get our waiter to refill our drinks. We ordered coffee, but they said they were out of coffee and had to brew it. That was another 15 minutes. When we complained to the manager, he offered no apologies.

Enough about the negatives. The positives were, the food was wonderful! I ordered the half Thai Crunch Chicken Salad and a cup of the chicken chowder. The half salad was almost too much. The flavor was wonderful!! The chicken chowder had corn and green chiles. It was soooo worth the horrible service. My family had the Thai pasta with shrimp and said the same thing. It was wonderful.

I haven't written the whole chain off, but I will not be going back to the West Gray location, ever again.

MY REVIEW: We called our order in and arrived at the pick up area on time and had to wait an additional 20 minutes for our food, no apologies given. When we got home less than a mile away and opened our pizzas they were cold and had to be reheated in the oven. Unfortunately they were mediocre at best. We DON'T plan to return, a big disappointment.

MY REVIEW: This is really very Pizza with a twist! I have had the same serve both trips and he was TOPS.

The food is pricey but all three of the Pizza's we have tried have been excellent and well worth the money. I know if they were more affordable I would visit more often. But for a special event they are really, unusual and different. A great chance of pace!

MY REVIEW: This latest location's offering was one of the most bizarre dining experiences of my life. We arrived around 6:30 on a Friday evening, were warmly greeted and apologized to profusely while hosts bussed a booth in a back corner beyond several cleared tables. We smiled and said sure. After a few more minutes and apologies we were seated. The first very noticeable thing was that we were surrounded by babies through toddlers at adjacent tables, most of whom were screaming, throwing and spilling things. Our server showed up, again apologizing that first there was a spill to be cleaned up at the next table with three small children. We smiled and said sure. After several more minutes our orders were taken and we were offered "house bread." We smiled and said sure. Eventually the bread arrived, three slices stacked stone cold on a plate. No water, no drinks until the bread was long gone. Finally my drink arrived, a few minutes later my husband's, explained with "we had to pour you another shot." But it wasn't a double, barely a single. More babies and children came and went. After close to an hour our pizzas finally arrived, half cooked, cheese unmelted, barely warm, middle crust so soggy that the toppings fell off and had to be eaten with a fork -- but otherwise as delicious as ever. One drink refill when the food came took another ten minutes or so, again explained awasy with the false "second shot" claim. WTF? Did they pour one shot, wait five minutes, then pour another? All of this -- over an hour's worth of three drinks and two pizzas in the middle of a daycare for $50 plus tip.

I could go on for hours about my complete obsession with CPK from its mid-80s inception to the Pepsi sellout to venture capitalist franchising to going public. CPK takes the mundane pizza experience to the sublime through fresh ingredients and inventive combinations, and those who followed the trend are mere copycats and frauds. I couldn't stop thanking the restaurant gods enough for the unbelievable gift of a CPK inside the Houston Loop -- I've only been waiting for 20 years. Now all I can say is, after this experience, thank god for carryout.

MY REVIEW: This was my frist bisit but definitely not my last! I cant wait to go back. My friend & I decided to try this place out Saturday night & boy were we glad we did. It looked busy as we walked in but we were seated right away. We had a great waitress who told us all about their pizzas-the menu is huge-there is lots to chose from & the decision was hard! We chose the Mango Tandoori Chicken pizza & the Jamaican Jerk Pizza. Both were delicious!! They are pretty much fro one person but if the person is not a huge eater then they could share-but you wont want to share once you taste the pizza! THe Mango Chicken was so delicious-the soices just right and it was so pretty. The Jerk pizza was so good too-sweet with a spicyness to it. It had red & yellow peppers, red onion pieces of pork & bacon. It was extremely good!! The appetizers looked good too. We will have to get one of those the next time we go!

I highly recommend this place & cant wait to go back!

MY REVIEW: We went to CPK for the first time after years of shopping at Memorial City Mall. I knew there is a CPK at Post Oak but had never tried. This turned out to be a pleasant surprise.

CPK offers an extended menu selection. We have ate at countless pizza places, and are always in search of places that offer good vegetarian pizza (btw we are not vegetarians).

Since we decided to try out the veggie choices, we ordered the Tortilla Spring Rolls (Mediterranean style) for appetizer and the Vegetarian with Japanese Eggplant pizza.

The Tortilla Spring Rolls were excellent! The sun dried tomatoes were sweet and the rolls were lightly baked to stay in the roll-up shape. Portion is good to be served as a main course.

The Vegetarian-Eggplant pizza was a nice looking piece of work, with baby broccoli spread across. Food is good.

The atmosphere was casual and relaxed at this location with a knowledgable server. This turned out to be an happy meal for everyone. We will certainly be repeat customers.

MY REVIEW: Atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. From other reviewers the waitstaff is a hit or miss, but for the 3 times I have been at this location I have had very friendly and attentive waiters. The pizza selection is large and very unique (pizzas you wont find at other pizza chains, which is very appealing). I personally love the new Greek Pizza (it's very light and fresh w/ grilled chicken and veggies and the lemon herb vinagrette dressing is very tasty). As for dessert the chocolate souffle cake is a chocoholics dream! It's delicious!

I have not even tried the pizza yet, but they all look tasty and well worth it.

MY REVIEW: One of my favorite stops for lunch when I am in the Galleria area. I love the spring rolls and the oriental chicken salad is GREAT. I would love to tell you my favoite pizza, but I can't even pick. I wish there was one of these restaruants closer to my home.

Service is good enough for me. I've always had refilled beverages and hot food. They got my meal wrong once; they replaced it quickly and paid for my lunch. I love this place!!

MY REVIEW: Globs of nasty oily brown pizza dough with no air bubbles to indicate that they've ever seen yeast. A machine that squeezes them into flat rounds that are then hand rolled thinner by one of the workers. Greasy thin pizza crust that makes one crave a D*omino's. I tell you, this has to be the worst excuse for a $10 pizza in Houston. How did this very popular chain get so bad?

MY REVIEW: strong points: incredible crust probably the best I've ever had, fresh quality ingredients, creative menu choices, huge and yummy salads, nice atmosphere and interesting people-watching. The three times I went, was lucky enough to get pretty good wait staff.

weak points: menu could use a "Meat Lover's Pizza" type entree, the closest thing to that I found was the Sicilian, which was quite good. Also a better selection of decent beer and decent prices would help---all they had was Budweiser (gag!) and Bud Lite (double-gag!) and for a "premium beer," Shiner Bock (ha ha ha ha hee hee hee hee) for a ridiculous $5 a BOTTLE! But I suppose they probably want to discourage beer drinking because of their high-end aspirations/pretensions. Too bad, because nothing beats good beer with pizza.

8 out of 10 stars

MY REVIEW: Food was good, but like everyone elses review, the service was terrible, our order was wrong twice and the wiatress rolled her eyes and looked annoyed when we told her the order was incorrect. Drinks were not refilled and waitress dissapeared for 10 minutes at a time and was nowhere to be seen.

MY REVIEW: Although I had been there before once and was extreamly disapointed with service, I decided to try again. (The Post Oak Location)Our pizzas were good. I had the Margarita Pizza and my boyfriend the Club Pizza which was fresh and tasty. We both liked the ambiance but; Im afraid to say that the service did not change. We were seated and waited a record 20 minutes to even get a waiter to bring us our menu. Once we got our menues it took another 20 minutes for him to come back and take our order. We got a refill of our lemonaids once but only when I asked a waiter who was walking by. I don't think getting good pizza should be worth the frustration of bad wait staff. Thanks but no thanks CPK were not comming back. Its just not worth it.

MY REVIEW: Rude hostess, rude waiter, expensive small portion mediocre food.

Obviously, a different management style at the Memorial City location than Post Oak. Having to wait for the hostesses to get a table should had been warning enough for me. There were maybe 6 or 7 customers in the whole place when I arrived and the 2 hostesses were jabbing away about something they saw in TV.

When I interrupted to get a table, they seemed upset if who was I to interfere with there conversation. There were some tables outside where you could view the skating rink and I asked for one of the 4 empty tables and was cutely told "no". After being seated and waited nearly 15 mintues, I got up and grabbed a waiter to get my order. Again, he didn't seemed very happy. I order the Sicilian pizza with the honey wheat dough - which came out very different from the one I get at the Post Oak establishment. The pizza I got was a little burnt, covered with cheese (even though I asked for light on the cheese), there were maybe half-dozen 'string' of ham, and if there were any tomato sauce on this thing, it must have been microscopic.

Suffice to say,I won't be back here. As I left, the girls up front were still gabbing away and the 4 tables outside were still empty.

MY REVIEW: Never heard of this place, decided to give it a try. Service was great, even during the lunch hour.

Our waitress was very attentive, and came back to check on us often. Refills on our tea were pleantiful.

Our food was fresh and hot when it arrived. I had the club pizza, and my cousin had the wild mushroom pizza. They were both pretty big seeing how it was for once person. My avacados and lettuce were very fresh and not wilted. Crust was really good and chewy. The wild mushroom pizza was also very good, the mushrooms were not as 'wild' as i imagined, pretty mild in flavor. This place is very clean and hip. They also have other items if you not in the mood for pizza- pasta, salads, soups and some great looking desserts. They have a really cool fire oven which u can see from the tables (depends where u sit). This is not the kinda of pizza you will find at other places, its very different and unique. You must give it a try once if you love pizza. From the other reviews, looks like the wait staff can be a hit or miss, luckily we had a hit. I will be returning soon.

MY REVIEW: Uh, a 30 minute wait for a salad to go? Not good. And then forgetting to put the drink that I ordered and paid for in the bag? Also not good. Last several times I've been there were like this, I ordinally like it there but a few bad episodes like this loses customers, me specifically.

sorry CPK,
Step it up and I'll come back

MY REVIEW: The pizzas are original and unique. Usually, we are pleased with CPK; however, our last visit was horrible. My boyfriend ordered the Carne Asada Pizza and the steak tasted like re-heated grocery store meat. It was terrible, and our waiter, Luke, was the worst waiter I have ever had in my entire life. We have had him several times, and each time he has been slow and unattentive. Now we personally request not to sit in his section; I suggest you do the same. And think twice about ordering the Carne Asada pizza, but the Southwestern Chicken Burrito pizza is my favorite!!

MY REVIEW: This restaurant has a very nice atmosphere, excellent dishes, and reasonable prices. The service is also friendly & quick.

We normally order chicken dumplings, pepperoni pizza & spaghetti.

The chicken dumplings are great. There's about 6/8 on a plate seasoned w/ chives & sesame seeds. Along w/ a side of sauce that just tops off the taste of the dumplings.

The pizzas have a unique taste. I believe the sauce tastes a bit sweeter than like at [two other pizza places], but it's still delicious.

When I go in to order the spaghetti it's never failed me. It's always tasty. It comes w/ celantro on top which I tell them to hold because I don't like the taste. You can order your spaghetti w/ different sauces. I ordered one w/ chicken, but I didn't like the taste of the chicken for some reason. It didn't taste right. So, now I just order the sauce which has mushrooms and that's good enough for me.

MY REVIEW: nice atmosphere. clean restaurant with quick service and interesting dishes. pizza ovens are part of the environment.

oriental chicken salad was good, watercress and romaine salad with wlanuts and gargonzola with balsamic vinegarette dressing was tasty, portobello mushroom ravioli in tomato and basil sauce was also good.

their pizzas are eclectic with a variety of ingredients. the full size salads are good to share along with pizzas. but they are "california" pizzas not pizza hut.

prices are moderate.
