MY REVIEW: We visited on a Sunday afternoon. It was not crowded. The restaurant appears to be a converted bar. It is big with good lighting. We were seated promptly.

We ordered from the Chinese menu. Unfortunately, the weekend prices are not that cheap. I don't mind that - if the quality is good. However, of the 3 dishes we ordered, two were overcooked. The hot pot dish we ordered was the worst, the vermicelli in it was so badly overcooked it was almost mush. At least the service was ok.

We won't be going back here, as there are many better alternatives for the price.

MY REVIEW: Went Sunday afternoon and there were only 2 ladies working the dining room, so service was lacking. I had the sweet and sour chicken which i never had before and it was syrupy. Everything else I've had there is excellent though. I think it was the deep fried that threw me off. Dinner companions had terryaki which they said was bland, but the vegetables underneath the meat looked excellent. I told them terryaki was japanese and this place probably added it to their menu as an afterthought. that's how i c it anyway. They have good lunch specials, very good chicken chow mein and general tso's chicken.

MY REVIEW: I have been eating here since 1987. I know the old owners, and I understand that the restaurant is under new management and ownership. Some things improved, but I had a real bad experience this spring. I ordered 2 take-outs of their usually wonderful fried rice (pork & beef, no onions) When I got home (a 20 mile drive) I found that the orders had been made with FROZEN PEAS AND CARROTS! And a large amount of un-asked for MUSHROOMS (wet & slimy) had been added. (entire family is allergic to mushrooms so we had no dinner tht night!)Been eating there for 20 years and never had frozen veggies in my food. Looked like someone threw in left-overs at the last minute. Too late to return, so I called..and got the cleaning crew! I left a message for management to call me the following day. Still waiting for the call...it will be a while before I return, having discoverd 8*88 in Dickinson. be careful with late-evening to-go orders...looks like they give you all the leftovers.

MY REVIEW: They may not know my name but they recognize me. We love the lunch specials. Always plenty of food at a reasonable price. Everyone has a different favorite so it just makes sense. Teriyaki chicken, General Tsao chicken, are very good. Love their eggrolls. Favorite full menu item is mu shu pork. The service is nice and efficient. If there is a down side it would be the TV is always on.

MY REVIEW: Unlike the other King Bo locations, this particular location is *not* a buffet. It is in fact a well decorated full-service restaurant. I'm lucky enough to live nearby and have been going here for years because for a long time it was the only Chinese food restaurant in the area. The quality of the food is outstanding - nothing like what you get at the typical buffet. The service is very good - although most of the waiters have a tenuous grasp of English.

MY REVIEW: Great taste for LE$$... this is my second time I have been eaten here at King Bo Buffet. The taste is great everytime, I can get them all right here...(Grilled Salmon in orange and tomato sauce, Fried Crabs, Salted Shrimp, Crawfish, Mussels, Teriyaki Chicken, my favorite Oven Ribs... King Bo may need some cosmetic improvement but don't change the taste. We'll be BACK...thank you

MY REVIEW: On the way back from Galveston, the family and I stopped in for the first time. We were hungry and oh man it was great, the foods were so delicious and tasty. Everything were so fresh, the staff were very tentative and sincere. $6.25 for lunch is unbeliveable low. They have pretty much everything...SALMON, CRAWFISH, CRAB, SHRIMP, AND every traditional Chinese dishes you can't find else where. thank you for being there at the right time and the right place. WE'll be back...

MY REVIEW: Completely awesome, tasty throughout, best prices and services. My clinic and all my staff eaten here at least once a week. We have them catering to us every month... it's the best... thank you and keep up the great taste.

The person who wrote the last review probably a competitor, because the restaurant name was mentioned is about 50 miles away from the KING BO on FUQUA.

MY REVIEW: I have to disagree with most people on the board I did not like the food. The ribs were horrible, the general tso chicken didn’t look fresh or good to eat the fried rice was bland. The only thing I liked was the fried chicken and the egg roll. The price was very reasonable but the food isn’t good. I recommend the Cafe E*ast Chinese buffet. This is by far the best I have had in Houston.

MY REVIEW: great taste, excellent services. I'm in the area everyweek and this is the only place I truly call chinese food... I have tried other place around the area, accross the hwy..

King Bo is the best taste by far... I'm a American, and knows how to use a pair of chinese chopstick. Who needs a grand entrance when the foods speak for itself.

you could not find a better chinese buffet at this low price in the Houston area. Recently, I've found out... they're serving Rib Eyes Steak for Dinner and weekend. awesome, you've made my day... thank you, and keep up with the good stuff coming.

MY REVIEW: I have visited off and on for the past 10+ years. It is not a place I would choose for myself, but my kids like it. The food is exactly what yoou find on every other Chinese buffet in Houston, and the selection is good. The food is fresh, even during off-peak times. If you like Chinese buffet food and are in the area at a meal time it is worth a stop. Otherwise, keep going.

MY REVIEW: Actually they do know my name. I get delivery all the time and it kind of creeps me out that they keep my name and credit card number on file. Mind you, I can tell the to charge the same account and I don't have to bother reading it back to them etc. Delivery guys are always really nice.

The crab rangoon doesn't even hint at a flavor of crab but is still really good. General Tso's chicken is good but not great. The beef dishes have always been dead on good. I may actually have to leave the couch and eat at the restaurant. It did surprise me how food this good came from a place with a buffet.

MY REVIEW: I agree. Why go anywhere else? Consistently good food, attentive service staff, low background music (never C & W) and a very modest price. Their strong point? The Buffet. The whole Buffet and nothing but the Buffet. Their weakpoint? Skip the tea. Get water (cheaper, too). I'll see you there tonight.

MY REVIEW: One of the co-worker was telling us about King Bo Buffet on Fuqua @ 45 south

We took the family out this last Sunday. Great place, great foods, excellent services... Tried the new CURRY BEEF.. it was deliciously tasty, Chicken Teriyaki freshly grilled is out of this world. I have tried other teriyaki chicken elsewhere...it's not the same... Their SPRING ROLL is the best.

The place is very busy, lots of people, but very organize. They have all the Football games on in every corners..wow..BUFFET AND FOOTBALL ??? :)

WELL DONE...GOD BLESS.. We'll be back next Sunday after church...
