MY REVIEW: This is such a good neighborhood restaurant. I ordered chicken picatta which was delicious. My friend had the grilled trout which was prepared just the way he wanted it. The service was excellent and the price was so low that I was amazed. Best thing of all is that you can carry on a conversation. They do not have a full bar and that may be a negative to some people, but there is an adequate and not over priced wine list.

MY REVIEW: Wow! This was my first visit to Palazzo's. I live in College Station and only visited because I subscribe to Living Social Deals and got a good deal! OMG! I was thoroughly PLEASED! The service was excellent! I sat at the bar b/c I was in between lunch and dinner and didn't want a table since I was alone. Al was my waiter..he was very pleasant, friendly, paid lots of attention to me, and engaged in pleasant conversation. The food was GREAT! I had the Salmon special with angel hair. Fantastic! My husband and I will visit the next time we are in the city. Loved it!

MY REVIEW: My co-worker and I really enjoyed our meal here. Waitstaff was attentive too.
We had Pasta Palazzo - excellent, and Chicken Marsala - very good. Love their free bread, lots of flavor. Friendly staff, low noise level, at least at lunch.
We will be back!

MY REVIEW: I am always pleased with every aspect of Palazzo's, but they really outdid themselves on a recent dinner there with an incredible salmon special with a pesto cream sauce---and the waiter advised us of the price , which I appreciate (and it was quite reasonable). The noise level is a REAL plus ---conversation is easy . I cannot think of any aspect of this restaurant that does not get an A + !

MY REVIEW: My wife and I went for lunch on a weekday. What a disappointment. Salad and crabcakes both tasted like they were swimming in vinegar. My trout was tasteless, her scampi was ok but could have used more seasoning. We had tiramisu for dessert, which would have been very good except that it was doused in Hershey's chocolate syrup.
This was supposed to be a nice occasion lunch, I feel like I need to go somewhere else for a makeup!

MY REVIEW: Besides requiring good food, I look for resturants where it is possible to hve a conversation without screaming. Palazzo's on Westheimer is the perfect spot. I have eaten there twice in the last couple of weeks and enjoyed the food and the noise level! The special three course dinner is great. The tomato basil soup is outstanding. The choice of entrees is varied and I enjoyed the grilled trout. I had the spumoni pie and my friend had the carrot, banana cake which was outstanding. The chef and the manager both came by our table several times to inquire if everything was fine and it certainly was. If you are looking for good food AND a comfortable noise level, this is it.

MY REVIEW: I'm torn in my opinion of this place. Had one of their pizzas delivered and it was fantastic. The tomato soup is great, and had a couple of good pasta meals there besides. But one of those was a lasagne delivered as a still-frozen block of ice. The worse thing in the BriarForest location is the noise. Once it get crowded at lunch, the acoustics drive you insane.

MY REVIEW: We went to Palazzo on BriarForest for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it. Excellent food and dessert, and very good wine deal make this a must-try Italian restaurant. The laid-back atmosphere and attentive staff are positives.
Location is a bit of a surprise, but being in a residential area makes this place quiet and easy to access.

MY REVIEW: Palazzo's is easy to find, has plenty of parking (rare in Montrose) and has a cozy feel. I ordered the daily special (tuna with spinach and pasta). The fish was pink on the inside but crusty on the outside--perfect. The spinach, sauteed in an oil and lemon sauce, was perfect. The pasta sauce was a tomato base with a sweet tinge.
My lunch companion had the chop salad, which looked fantastic (she didn't share)--it will be my choice next time.
Service was attentive and professional.
The meal was so good we were obligated to try dessert (tiramisu and cheesecake). The tiramisu may be the best I've ever had: The cream filling was light, abundant and separate from the cake layers. The coffee flavor was subtle. The cheesecake was also excellent, although had they asked, I would have opted not to get the strawberry topping. Still: An outstanding experience!

MY REVIEW: Palazzo's is one of the best pizzas around. Don't waste your time with the entrees and such. The pizza is where it is at. They also serve complimentary bread which is delicious as well. The food is great and the service every time I have gone is wonderful. My waiters have always been very nice, very quick, and always getting me refills when I am half empty.
Plus for dessert you can go next door to the bakery. I am a professional baker and this is the only bakery I have found so far that I have actually enjoyed. It was also reasonably priced.

MY REVIEW: Service outstanding. Food delicious, abundant, and quite reasonably priced. Have a delicious chopped salad (big enough for two) and every entree excellent. No reservations needed on this Saturday night. This is a hidden pearl.

MY REVIEW: I went back to Palazzos on Briar Forest after about 6 months absence. It has either gone way downhill or it was training day. I took a friend from out of town and was embarrased. They brought the wrong food twice. The waitress spilled tomato sauce all the way down her arm to her elbow and still tried to place it on the table, however it was snatched away by a man who appeared to be in charge and kept walking around the room glaring at everyone. We asked for things several times before getting them. Plus there were only two other occupied tables. The food was luke warm but by that time all we wanted to do was leave. My friend is coming again soon and begged that we not go back there again.

MY REVIEW: Was there today for lunch and it was terrific. Very attentive server and the baskets of faccocia bread were great. Grilled trout was terrific and spaghetti and meatballs is amongst the best in town. A quieter alternative to C*arrabbas but still very respectable Italian food.

MY REVIEW: Always looking for a good Margherita pizza; found a great one yesterday at Palazzo's. The crust was not too thick and not too thin and nice and chewy, with just cheese, fresh tomato slices and basil with some garlic and seasoning on top. Deeeeellliiissshious. Also had a small dinner salad with it and it was very fresh, light and tasty with green lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, feta and a few lovely dark olives in just enough house dressing. I inhaled that in no time.
Our waiter was pleasant, but the bus-person was fantastic. Once I got up from my seat to check out the covered patio and when I returned, he was waiting to pull out my chair and place my napkin in my lap. We needed more sweetener so I reached over to the next table to get some. He came over with a saucer full of more sweetener right after that. Plenty of iced tea refills too.
The restaurant wasn't very busy on a Saturday at lunchtime. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I will definitely return and probably also try the Briar Forest location, which is closer to home.

MY REVIEW: Great food, terrible service. Palazzo's bills itself as a neighboorhood trattoria, however they are no longer family friendly. We took our two year old son to the new location, we were seated in a very small, noisy, cramped area right next to a very loud adult party. When we asked if we could sit elsewhere in the almost empty restaurant, we were told it was company policy to sit all kids in this area. The old restaurant was delightful and catered to families. If Palazzo's is trying to go upscale, then they need not bill themselves as a neighborhood trattoria anymore.
