Golden Hunan II Chinese Restaurant

MY REVIEW: What a NICE SUPRISE. Me and my coworker just happened upon this resturant and really like it. The food was tasty, the service was excellent and the price was right. If you are tired of the buffet places, this is the resturant you want to try.

MY REVIEW: Golden Hunan is in strip center on the NW corner of Bingle and Kempwood in Spring Branch and is under new ownership. I really like their food and go back often. While all the dishes I've tasted at Golden Hunan are very good, my favorite has to be their Szechuan Chicken. It is very good and pleasantly spicy (but I like spicy food). My wife can't eat spicy food but they have accommodated her by cooking food the way she can eat it and they also have plenty of non-spicy food. Golden Hunan uses only white meat for their chicken dishes. It doesn't use MSG. They handled my request one night for a dish of stir-fried celery and carrots, even though it wasn't on the menu and it turned out very nicely. All-in-all, I have found Golden Hunan II to be very tasty and the owners very eager to please. I hope more people will discover it. You should give it a try.
