Their Tex-Mex is second to none...beef enchilada dinners are superb! We usually go elsewhere if we're in the mood for fajitas, but otherwise...Carlos is our fave. Their chips are awesome, super-thin and crispy with good salsa. Their weekend breakfast buffet is amazing...everything is hot, fresh and well-stocked. A bit pricy, but well worth the extra cost. An all-around great restaurant. Before I was born my parents use to go here, its one of our traditions to go and eat there. When we have a big party with us we usually go eat there because the food is so great. This is the only Carlos that has Orchatas I think that all the locations should have them too. I think that the place looks great with the renovations that were made and it is now a better exprience to go because it feels more cozy, and it is great knowing that Don Beto, Don Carlos, Juanita and all the waiting staff are still mainly the same it makes you feel like your at home. The service is quik and we never have an empty glass. This place is AWSOME!!!! I LOVE THESE GUYS!!! Always worth it. There are many Mexican restaurants in this area, we've tried some and been disappointed- we always return to Carlos' - they NEVER disappoint. I can't say enough wonderful things about this restaurant or the wonderful people that work there- the staff is ALWAYS helpful, available, and understanding- what more could you ask for!? We love the food there. I don't believe we have ever gone there and been disappointed with anything we ate. The only problem we have sometimes is communicating because we don't speak Spanish, but we eventually are understood...haha. The people there are always nice and have always treated us wonderful. The food is great, cheap, and the service is about what you'd expect, nothing fantastic, but not horrible either. The portions are generous - we always leave stuffed, and the margaritas are awesome! My one gripe? The salsa- they bring out this funky carrot-laced salsa that is almost orange, its' not spicy, its NOT flavoful, and its our only gripe about this location. The location on Aldine-Westfield is great too, sine they have better salsa we often drive over there just to avoid the "carrot juice"! But overall if you're in the neighborhood and want to stuff yourself with some cheap Mexican food- eat here!
