MY REVIEW: I just recently moved to the woodlands, there are many many places to eat here but Ace is one of my favorites. They have a staff that makes you feel right at home. I believe it is a family ran business and they always make sure that you are taken care of. The food is always fresh and you have to try the szechuan and hunan dishes. The general tso chicken is absolutely the best ever.Thank you ace !!!!!!

MY REVIEW: We visit this restaurant every month or so, and we really like it. The staff is so friendly, the food is always good. Their hot and sour soup is great. They also deliver, although we always pick up our order, or dine in. I would recommend this to anyone wanting the traditional style Chinese food that you can get for a reasonable price and eat in front of the tv. Very good!

MY REVIEW: Strong Points; Staff whom answered phone for an home delivery request, was quite patient (bravo!!!,, Hey, you ever tried to place a food or meal order over the phone, or gag, at a drive thru?) At this point, it gets even better, so very way alot even better. 99% so very way alot even better. Staff person allowed proper amount of time to place an order that may perhaps have been somewhat, complex. *****2. Weak Points; Alas, as it happens, and sometimes it does happen, part of the order delivered was incorrect. Would not have mentioned it cause all the items on the menu are probably as well prepared as the "signature" stuff. So, to make a tiring story even more boring, the Mgmt. made an untenable situation so very way alot, well, they made it right. And as was mentioned earlier, bravo Ace Chinese Restaurant bravo.See yall again.

MY REVIEW: I went on a Sunday afternoon about 2 pm. The food on the buffett was not very fresh. They did not have a real big variety on the small steam table buffett. The price was high for what you got. We were also disgusted that some of the Koi in the foyer were dead. I hope that they can improve these issues.

MY REVIEW: The Restaurant is clean and very nicely priced. The staff is friendly. They have a buffet, though it is very small. The food is very tastey and it is very reasonably priced. They even have the buffet on the weekends. Well worth the money. I'll eat there again!

MY REVIEW: 3 family members went for lunch. This was our 2nd visit .The food seems fresh. The service is ok,but unfriendly. They seem to try to rush you a bit through lunch especially the older daytime waitress there .The food is always too salty & too sweet.A little sugar is fine ..but not like dessert. We have only tried the lunch specials. The egg roll is ok...but not much flavor. The soup is pretty good .The place seems cleaner than most .Your not rubbing elbows with the next table.I appreciate not being cramed in.

MY REVIEW: Disappointing is the overall response. Hot & sour is so, so and is probably the best thing on the menu. I ordered the beef-on-stick appetizer and it was burnt to a crisp. I though it was a mistake so I tried it again one other time ... nope, same thing. The problem here is that there aren't many options for Chinese in The Woodlands area.

MY REVIEW: Major yuck. Ordered the sweet and sour chicken (strips of heavily battered chicken with sweet and sour sauce drizzled over, no peppers, onions, pineapples, etc), beef with snow peas (should be simple but there's that sticky brown sauce again). I was disappointed that this type of Chinese food, prevalent in the 60s to suit American's novice tastes, has not changed. We are so much more familiarized with the authentic cuisines of the world that it would have been nice to get away from chicken fingers with s&s sauce and vegetables smothered in brown goop. Still trying to find a great authentic Chinese Restaurant in the Woodlands area without having to drive downtown or to Bellaire...

MY REVIEW: I will admit that I am not fond of Chinese food AT ALL, but this restaurant was great! We went for my husband's birthday and I will go back again. We ordered the dinner for two but substituted the sweet and sour pork for the chicken. When the menu said that there was an extra charge for substitutions I thought it would be outrageous but it was only 30 cents. I was very surprised! My husband loved the food also and so did our 4 year old who is very picky. I can't wait to go back and get the pepper steak! I highly recommend this restaurant even if you arn't crazy for Chinese food!

MY REVIEW: I love this restaurant. I have ordered chicken with broccoli, beef with broccoli, won ton soup, The Special Wonton soup, chow mein, sweet and sour pork, sweet and sour chicken, the dinner for two, etc, etc.... I haven't ever been disappointed. The food always tastes fresh.
I've been going to this restaurant for about 10 years now. Most of the time we get our order to go, but we have eaten at the restaurant several times.
The restaurant is nice and quiet---and NOT a buffet...which is a big plus in my book. My husband and I even ate there for Valentine's one year. It was really nice.

MY REVIEW: As soon as you walk in the door, you are surprised by the atmosphere... considering this restaurant is located in a large strip center! The food is hot, fresh, and prepared to perfection! You'll be amazed at how quickly your order is brought to your table, even if you order an unusual dish. The menu is enormous, but the helpful and knowledgeable staff will help you in making your selection.
Speaking of the staff, most of the waiters and waitresses have been working there for years and are excellent at what they do. They are always close and attentive to your needs, but don't have the annoying habit of lingering over your table and conversation.
Back to the food.... my personal favorite is the Kung Pao Double Delites which features succulent shrimp and chicken in a spicy brown sauce. Try it and you won't regret it! (If you don't care for seafood, they offer the same dish without the shrimp.)
The portions are enormous and come to your table in a large silver platter. Many times, I will order one dinner and one of their excellent fried rice sides for two people... believe me, unless you're a horse, you won't go away hungry!
The prices are reasonable, but probably a little higher than most Chinese restaurants.... of course, you're getting what amounts to "gourmet" Chinese food with enormous portions. Most of the meals are in the $6 - $12 range.
Trust me, it's worth the trip to eat here at least once.
Say hi to Mr. Lee for me! He's the owner and one of the nicest men you'll ever meet.
Enjoy!
