MY REVIEW: Don't believe anything the i*iot says in the previous review.
1. It's "bad" location because there's a construction underway at Gessner and I10. It's not permanent.
2. This culinary i*iot obviously hadn't had Korean food and didn't know it's known for many side dishes WITHOUT EXTRA CHARGE. I think it's a bargain when I order one entree and it comes with at least 9 side dishes. If you don't speak Korean, it's hard to explain the ingredients, since there's no English equivalent. Just shut up and enjoy the wonderful exotic variety of dishes.
3. Most vegetables are types of LEAVES.
I bet this reviewer will say the same thing about all Korean restaurants. I am a Chinese and I love Korean. I have to write something in defense.

MY REVIEW: I am, er, privileged to report that I have found Houston's worst dining experience. (Yes, worse than S*ouper Salad, which previously held the title.) With so many bad things--er, features, to mention, it's hard to get them all: * Dumpy setting/location. * Most menu items not actually available. * Tempura appetizer consisted of sub-par shrimp and leaves. Yes, leaves. WTF? * Tempura done horribly greasy and with more flakes than food. * Potstickers burned. * They brought out a bunch of small side dishes with god knows what in them, and seemed offended we wanted to know what they were and why they were taking up table space. * I had a teriyaki chicken dinner. It tasted generic, with not that much meat to it. * Worst of all: My friend ordered a shrimp soup, and got squid. He complained about the "octopus" (which we thought it was), and was corrected that it was squid. Told waitstaff he didn't want squid, or octopus, and that this was supposed to be a shrimp soup. Waitstaff courteously (read: confusedly) brought out a single (crappy) tempura shrimp in response. He carefully removed the squid bits from his food, now dubbed (something horrid). * Check amount: $42. Again, WTF. What a value! (for fried leaves, especially)
Do yourself a favor and stay FAR away from this hole.

MY REVIEW: Service was very poor! The server got a wrong order, and tried to persuade me that the dish she brought to my table was better then the dish I ordered. She did not even apologize to me at all. And the server was not even paying attenion to my request. When I asked her a to-go box and napkins, she left before I finished my sentence. I do NOT recommend this restaurant.

MY REVIEW: Three of us from work go at least monthly for lunch and having been doing so for nearly a year. We have never been disappointed, although we do stick primarily to the excellent (and very fairly priced) specials. The staff is courteous and hard working, the food is always wonderful and the decor is very nice - it's our favorite place.

MY REVIEW: Fabulous. Though the service is overextended, it is worth the wait. Don't let the confusing menu discourage you. Ask the waitresses, they're all really good at suggesting something. My favorite is the Soon Doo Boo (sp?)/Seafood Tofu Soup. As I am pregnant now, I'll have to forgo the seafood, but there's always the fabulous Bi Bim Bap and various Kimchees.
I try to make it to Asiana about once a month. Sometimes we go as big group from work too.

MY REVIEW: Ownership changed about a year ago and it made a difference. Soups, Hamilpajung (Pancakes), galbi, are excellent. Seafood is so-so. Side dishes are excellent, and they will get more if you ask.
Service is decidedly mixed because the staff is overextended (2 to 3 waitresses). They do their best, but there are long waits for items, and when paying the bill.
The prevous owner was always around and it showed in better quality food and service. I have yet to see the new owner around and it is unclear who is in charge

MY REVIEW: I don't know what Anothony is talking about. The service is usually impecible, especially when you take a real interest in Korean food. Great BBQ and other authentic dishes! The servers always bring out plenty of sides (kim chee and other vegetables), including soup and salad, even though they are not supposed to come with every meal. Typical Korean hospitality that makes sure you are happy, or remedies the situation. The only time I have seen them have remotely bad service is when a customer was warned about ordering a raw beef dish (yuk hwe), proceeded to order it, and then complained in a childlike manner. The waitstaff tried to meet his needs, but got a bit impatient after several attempts. This is a clear example of bad service when the typical American M*cDonald's loving customer, is intolerent to other cultures!

MY REVIEW: Terrible service... We chose a weekday and went a bit later for lunch to avoid crowds... First, the waiter forgot about us... after waiting for 30 minutes for a simple appetizer they told us they cooked the wrong thing and had to re-cook everything... then when they brought it was all mixed up! Quite a few things on the menu weren't available and it was impossible to understand the staff, so ordering what we wanted was a very challenging task. To add insult to injury, when we were checking out the hostess had the nerve to tell one of my friends that he left a small tip and insisted that he corrects it from 15% to 20%. It was a truely amazing and shocking experience, a simple outing for lunch turned into a 2.5 hour ordeal and I don't even remember the taste of the food because it was such a mess. Our entire circle of friends decided that it would our last trip ever to Asiana Garden.

MY REVIEW: Although I am not Korean, it was hard for me to find a restuarant that would perfect my taste. It was our first visit to Asian Garden, I was fascinated about the food and the great service (GREAT). Also, we even got a chance to meet the owner, she was very nice and treated us like we were her only customers.
But we do not go there any more, not because of the food but because we live up north and there is now an Asian Garden 2 so we are really happy.
A short drive for the same great food.
