MY REVIEW: Excellent food, very friendly people. I really enjoy the curry goat and beef patties.

MY REVIEW: My wife and I went to the CCR last night. We've been trying new restaurants recently and I had a craving for Caribbean food. The only negative thing I have to say is that the location of the restaurant at night doesn't scream safe. It shouldn't stop you going there, just be aware! Inside it's clean and no-nonsense. Not really a place for a romantic dinner- it's all about the food. We ordered a beef patty (fantastic), jerk chicken (very good), and a chicken roti (also very good). We were the only ones in the restaurant, but lots of people came by to pick up to go orders. All of them seemed to get beef patties. The hostess was really nice and engaging- made us feel very welcome. We'll go back again.

MY REVIEW: I don't really get a chance to visit Caibbean Cuisine as offten as I would like because I live so far away. However, everytime that I've had the "pleasure" of dinning there I always enjoy the meals. I particularly enjoy the Wednesday lunch buffet. The patties and coco bread in my opinion, are the best I've ever tasted. The friendly service always make the trip worth while. Ms. Ina is a wonderful lady.

MY REVIEW: The first time I ever tried Jamaican food was in New York and believe me when I say it was the best cuisine I'v ever tasted. I must say that the service at Caribbean Cuisine is excellent. The best item on the menu is the coco bread. I've been coming to this restaraunt for over a year now and I've noticed a decline in the quality of the food. For starter, if your slogan is "De Real Ting", then you must indeed live up to just that. The jerk chicken is cooked in the oven, which is something that anyone could do. In Jamaica, real jerk chicken is grilled outdoors over an open flame. Although this is the best Jamaican restaraunt in Houston, it still leaves a person like myself who has experienced REAL Jamaican food disappointed.

MY REVIEW: The service was nice, the host was friendly. My family ordered goat curry and something with lamb. The food was good, but not great. I was expecting something out of this world with the reviews on the menu from Hakeem Olajuwon and other people who claim it's the best jamaican food ever. But good enough. Their slogan caught my eye, "De Real Ting". I'll come back if I'm in the mood for jamaican. Otherwise, it didn't do wonders for me compared to other cuisines and restaurants in Houston.

MY REVIEW: My late husband says their food is like his sister's...and she was known throughout Jamaica for her food! I love eating their on Wednesdays buffet and always stop in for patties by the dozen. I even take some to my 87-year-old neighbor!

MY REVIEW: This restaurant is not flashy but it has a great "back a yard" feel to it. The food is delicious and the service friendly. A quiet place to eat, think and remember...

MY REVIEW: Okay I was initially VERY excited about trying this place after I read the reviews....i was up for a surprise. But hey--maybe I just went on a bad night While the service was friendly and the meat patties okay, the rest of the food was DEFINITELY lacking.

Strong Points:
Service (friendly)
Cozy atmosphere
Caribbean/Jamaican Grocery Area onsite (Great selection of items)

Weak Points:
Cleanliness (Ceiling tiles should be clean in a dining establishment)
Slow service (a 35 minute wait for takeout is pushing it)
Food mediocre

Specialties:
Beef Patty: While the seasoned beef was VERY good, the crust was LACKING...these are supposed to be flaky.....they crust was more like a hard crust.

Entrees:
Jerk Chicken: NO JERK!!!....these tasted like baked chicken wings...rather bland.....the jerk flavor was missing. A bad rendition. This dish should be one of the easier ones.
OxTails: The better of the rest of the dishes. Seasoned, but not overwhelming
Veggies: Mediocre
Rice/Beans: Totally Flavorless.

Overall this restaurant left MUCH to be desired. I was very disappointed after my visit. This place has work to do in order to be compared to some of the better Caribbean/Jamaican establishments. I give them a 4 out of 10.

MY REVIEW: The taste is "DE REAL TING", I can't get enough of the great flavor of food that comes out of the kitchen. Wednesday's buffet, "Try it, you'll like it" is a good day for me to stock up on patties, bread, drinks and all the island delights. Very nice place to eat...

MY REVIEW: Wow! We could not function at work. The wednesday lunch buffet had a wait line after we got there.. Jerk chicken, stew chicken, freshly steamed vege and more.. we had to pennance. HTown these folks put love in the pots, I just drop off 59 and pick up patties to munch in traffic.. warning, they are GREAT!

MY REVIEW: Warning!!! Miz Ina's Patties are addictive. Every trip through Houston we stop and stock up. A cool Red Stripe to heal the Scots Bonnet spiced fare. Authenic curry dishes, seafood, jerk chicken, and, of course, Jamaican Patties. Friendly atmosphere welcomes those who know Caribbean cuisine and those who want to experiment. This is as close to Jamaica as you can get without leaving Texas.
