13215 Grant Rd, Cypress, Texas 77429 281.655.0966 MY REVIEW: My favorite Tex-Mex in the entire country. I travel all over the US w/ my business and to this day, Amalia's is #1. Pollo Amalia is the dish I would ask for if I was on death row and it was my last meal. It's that good! The green salsa is sooo good, it's hard to resist.

13215 Grant Rd, Cypress, Texas 77429 281.655.0966 MY REVIEW: When they closed their Copperfield location and before they opened up their Grant Rd restaurant my wife and I tried to find a place that could replace Amalias. Once a week from August to December we tried a new Tex-Mex restaurant. We never found an equal replacement. We were so lucky when they opened 3 minutes from our home. We used to drive 20 minutes to Copperfield. Their fajitas are the best and their margaritas contain real tequila....there are some very popular Mexican food restaurants that serve everclear in their house margaritas!

13215 Grant Rd, Cypress, Texas 77429 281.655.0966 MY REVIEW: I had been to the Copperfield location a few years back but thought that the place had simply gone out of business. When driving by one day I saw the sign and recognized it as being the same restaurant, so decided to try it out. The food was fabulous and the chips and salsa had me filled up before the entree was served. Good strong margaritas will also keep me coming back! We were the last table in the whole place but never felt rushed and the owner graciously visited our table several times to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Definately will be back!

13215 Grant Rd, Cypress, Texas 77429 281.655.0966 MY REVIEW: For many years, we frequented the Copperfield location prior to it closing. To our surprise, we noticed the Grant location while driving by one day and decided to visit it after we noticed the sign looked similar to the one which had been at the Copperfield location. We were pleasantly surprised to find it to be the same Amalia's - still serving the same fabulous food which earned us as a loyal customer in the past. Even after all the years which passed, the fajita's were still great! On top of that, the owner recognized us and came over and welcomed us back and told us "i remember you". Good to see Amalia's is still serving public to the same high standards as in the past.

13215 Grant Rd, Cypress, Texas 77429 281.655.0966 MY REVIEW: I must have visited this restaurant on 3 very "off" days for them, considering the reviews listed on this site. We live very close by this location, so convenience more than anything else kept us coming back. However, the last visit was terrible. The chips were obviously cooked in very old and stale oil. I complained, but all the replacement chips came out the same way. How can you screw up chips? Other than that, it was very average mexican food. I have to wonder if any of the people writing such glowing reviews have ever been to R*ico's in Kingwood, B*ocado's, or L*upe's. "Best Mexican Food in Houston"? Amalias??? I just don't see it.

13215 Grant Rd, Cypress, Texas 77429 281.655.0966 MY REVIEW: We have visited multiple Mexican restaurants in the Cypress area and have been extrememly impressed with Amalia's. The service has been excellent, and you have your food within 15 minutes max even on a crowded evening. We have yet to have a bad experience at the Grant Road location. Our only critique is that the Happy Hour ends at five just when we are ready to have a few drinks. Other than that minor critique we will continue to frequent Amalia's.

8482 Highway 6 N, Houston, Texas MY REVIEW: The best Mexican food in the area - hands down, and we always have had good service. We've brought many, many friends there who all love it. The seasonings are excellent and not just your basic, run-of-the-mill Tex-Mex. For the more refined tastes in fine Mexican food. No one's rice beats theirs, either; it's wonderful with a hint of saffron in it. I love everything they make, and I've tried nearly everything on the menu. Their green sauce is the best! Fabulous fajitas, shrimp, tacos, enchiladas - you name it, it's great! Highly recommended.

We started just getting take out which every time it has been ready on time and fabulous. Try it!!!!!!!!!

8482 Highway 6 N, Houston, Texas MY REVIEW: This restaurant is about 5 minutes from me and I have been there only a few times. I keep thinking that I just hit a bad day on the food but apparently that isn't so. I have stood at the front door waiting for someone to seat me, there food is NOT worth the price they charge by any means, and everytime I have been there I was greeted or not greeted with a bad attitude. Don't waste your money, I would recommend any of the mexican restaurants in the area over this one.
