MY REVIEW: My family and I frequented this establishment for YEARS. I'd say we went 3-4 times a month. For some reason, we had not been in a couple of months and decided to go back this evening. We usually order the steamed veggie dumplings. This evening, they were dry and brown on top as if they were sitting out for a couple of hours. We sent them back and asked that they make some fresh ones, the waiter told us it would be 15 minutes. He returned 2 minutes later with more dumplings that had been sitting out (just not as long). They were still sub par.
We ordered almond chicken (no real flavor), beef and broccoli(finally got something right), and Sweet and Sour Pork(horrible dry bits of dark meat pork that seemed rancid or double fried or something).
I was so disappointed that I didn't bother taking the leftovers home and I don't think I'll ever visit that place again. I think they are under new management or they got a new chef. Whatever the reason, I was highly dis-satisfied. Please go some place else!

MY REVIEW: I thought everyone knew my name until I ordered over the weekend.
I normally order the Vegetable Fried Rice, Add Shrimp w/o Soy Sauce, Carrots & Water Chestnuts always in a rectangular foam container totalling about $10. When I got home after picking up my order, it was in a small, tall cardboard container (for the same price) and was not what I ordered (I say the same thing everytime I call). It was drenched in SOY Sauce w/ carrots, no shrimp and was horrible and unhealthy. When I called to complain, the attendant/Mgr told me it was a different girl taking orders. I told him that shouldn't make a difference if she understands & speaks english. He placed me on hold, came back and told me "WE DON'T DO SPECIAL ORDERS, NEXT TIME ORDER FROM THE MENU". I was so disappointed and was almost in tears since its hard to find GOOD HEALTHY FOOD that taste great.
Fu's has great food (if consistant) but horrible weekend service which made me never want to go again. Thank you to those who served me well on the WEEKDAYS!!

MY REVIEW: Food is excellent, the rib appetizer is amazing. The mongolian plate with shrimp, beef, chicken is really good to. Take-out quality of meat is lower than what they serve inside the place. Only downside is the interior of the restuarant is old, out-dated, grease stains on the walls. If they fixed up the inside, it would be a lot better
Overall, I'm def coming back for the food

MY REVIEW: Consistently good and very reasonably priced. Eaten in a few times but had them deliver dozens of times. I think their takeout/delivery portions may be a bit larger than dine in portions. My new favorite is Shar Char Beef and Shrimp. You can also make a cheap meal on one of their large soups. Won ton soup is very hearty with chicken and a few shrimp. I live 3 miles away and almost always get my order delivered within 30 minutes.

MY REVIEW: I have eaten here, it seems, about a million times and its always perfection!!!! I love the General Tso Chicken its always moist and had wonderful taste every single time I've ordered it. The Won Ton soup is also the BEST!! It's just the greatest. There is a restaurant on Post Oak and 610, by the Randalls, its called H*u's Garden, its the exact replica, in food, as Fu's and actually the sign off the street says Fu's but the sign on top of the building says Fu's????? Crazy but its also great I'm pretty sure its the exact same restaurant!!! Love Love Love their food!!!!!!

MY REVIEW: Great prices and fast service. Arguably one of the best Chinese food places in Houston near the Gallera area. THE best lunch menu in town. Two people can dine for less than $20 with tax and tip. The Village and Richmond locations are just okay- I do not know if I would even recommend them, but the San Felipe location is the best! Quick delivery service too!

MY REVIEW: The cuisine is light and flavorful. Variety , cleanleness and fast polite service. Beautiful presentation, egg drop soup and spring rolls delicious. Mongolian beef and shrimp with Lobster sauce are my usual fare.
What a treat to come here every week. Great place for a date as it has good atmosphere. If I win the Lotto I am going after their chef with an offer or down-right adoption.

MY REVIEW: Competent Tex-Chinese Place
Note: some others complained about parking, but actually there is a dedicated parking lot behind the restaurant. Very convenient in otherwise crowded area. Restaurant was about 1/3 full 8PM on Saturday. Hostess was Chinese. Wait staff was Hispanic. Menu was in English (only) (No Chinese) No Chinese guests. We had to ask specifically for chop sticks. Atmosphere was quiet. We had the Family dinner. Choice of the usual 3 soups (Hot&Sour, Egg Drop, Wonton) Appetizer=Crab Rangoon, Egg Roll, Shrimp Toast + 1 entree per person. All entree's were competent standard Texas Chinese fare.
Note: if you have travelled extensively in China and are looking for something that reminds you of that great place your native Chinese friends took you in Guangdong, this place is definitely NOT for you.

MY REVIEW: I took two people here for lunch today, one of whom considers himself quite the expert in Asian cuisine. He pronounced his meal one of the best he's had. The lunch specials are extremely well-priced. Three people ate for $19, not including the tip or drinks.

MY REVIEW: First visit and loved it.
Had spicy orange beef , egg drop soup , spring roll , fried rice.
Can't wait to go back, the buffets are off my list as indigestion usually follows. This place is the best. Felt good the rest of the day and actually wanted to back for dinner but was too far away.
Wish West Houston had one.

MY REVIEW: Really great service and prices. I usually always get the Szechuan Shrimp. It comes with broc., carrots, snow peas, bell peppers. Really really good, as is their hot and sour soup. I disagree that it is too thick. It's supposed to be thick. Wish their eggrolls weren't just cabbage though. Everything else is great! My friend usually either gets lo mein, almond chicken, or general Tso's chicken and she has never been disappointed.
Parking is a pain but it's worth it. Much better place than that trendy high priced P.F. C*hangs.

MY REVIEW: I have never eaten here, but I have them deliver. The delivery is always quick and accurate. I highly recommend the Almond Chicken! Once they forgot to put in the carrots, but it seems like an accident. The portions are great (definitely enough for dinner and for lunch the next day). Also, I an a student and love ordering from them during exam week b/c the food won't make me sleepy. You don't get the tired, sluggish feeling I get from other chinese restaurants.

MY REVIEW: Impressed that the shrimp dishes are so cheap (some are same price as chicken dishes; usually they are more expensive). Sure they're those small shrimps but that's good enough for me. Friends ordered chicken dishes, a tofu dish, and a beef & broccoli; I ordere the shrimp w/ vegetables. The portion sizes were good. My only suggestion would be that they separate out or specify better their menu items that are 'healthy' vs. not. The broccoli in my dish was steamed -- not how I like my broccoli, sorry. My dish in general seemed to be a very light, healthy dish -- couldn't tell that from the menu. My friends who ordered the chicken were surprised that theirs were breaded & fried -- that too should've been clear on the menu. Hot & sour soup too thick. Overall a good deal for the price, can't argue about that.

MY REVIEW: Very good food!! Chicken with peanut sauce (or peanuts) is served well in generous portions. Their tea is also good. Good atmosphere with very elaborate decorations. The staff is friendly and very servile. Definitely a place to check out with a date. It's quiet and spacious. I felt kind of akward wearing tennis shoes and jeans, so maybe a casual skirt and sandals would do for girls. Not overpriced, just right. Totally wanna go back.

MY REVIEW: My wife and I ate for the first time at Fu's Garden two weeks ago. It was such a wonderful experience that we went back the following week. The restaurant was very clean. The wait staff was friendly, courteous and paid attention to serving our table. We enjoyed the best Asian food ever in Houston, and we have eaten at a great many of them. It was prepared from fresh ingredients, served promptly and hot. The luncheon menu comes with more than your can eat, but it is so good that I can't quit until it is gone. Their prices are very reasonable and that is another reason to go back often. The total dining experience was completely enjoyable.....no complaints on anything!

I always order the Kung Pao Chicken lunch special with steamed rice and hot & sour soup..The portions are generous and the service has always been pretty good! I guess this place has been here for years but I think they changed ownership a couple of years ago..nonetheless the lunch specials are a pretty good deal for the Rice Village area!

MY REVIEW: The delivery is great from this place (even though they charge a $2 fee)--fast and always correct. I really love the food. They put jalepenos in the General Tso's chicken, which my husband really enjoys. The kung pao is really good--lots of flavor and just the right amount of spicy. I have eaten in the Post Oak location and it is good as well.
My only complaint is that twice when I have ordered the kung pao chicken (out of 12-15 times) it is as if they forgot the flavor. Completely bland, nothing going on at all. It looks the same coming out and then tastes terrible. The first time I was eating in and sent it back and it came back the same way. The second time was several months later and it was delivery so I was stuck with it. I may have to stop eating there because it is pretty expensive to end up with bad food. I wish that weren't true because most of the time it is great. But my husband has never had a complaint with them, so it is probably just a random occurrence.

MY REVIEW: I've never been to the south post oak location, but have went to the other 3 locations for years and years and years. Other than the food be absolutely fantastic, the biggest draw for me to keep coming here for chinese food is they use chicken breast meat for EVERY chicken dish. This is important to me, because I only eat chicken breast. So to be able to dine on the fabulous General Tso's or the Orange Chicken and not have to worry that it's thigh meat is worth the drive for me. And here is a quick tip! After our visits to AstroWorld (and we frequent often) we just head right up Kirby to University and have ourselves a quick $6.00 lunch, even on Sunday! Lunch specials even on the weekend! Awesome! The staff at all 3 locations have always been attentive and my drinks are never left empty for long.
When someone asks me to recommend a place for chinese food, I never, ever hesitate to mention Fu's Garden. I challange anyone to find me better chinese food for the price. Seriously!

MY REVIEW: Fu's Garden is located next door to Half Price Books and C*rossroads Coffeeshop..This past summer I have been frequenting C*rossroads Coffeeshop in the mornings, having a smoothie and surfing the net (C*rossroads has really good wi fi access!) Usually after answering all my emails and checking various websites I usually pop next door to Half Price Books and browse a bit before the hunger pangs start setting in...Well..Chinese food has always been my favorite cuisine so it was only natural that I poke my head into Fu's Garden..I was pleasantly surprised! I had heard Fu's Garden was an overpriced Chinese restaurant in the Village but actually their lunch specials are fairly reasonable...most dishes are only $5.95 and they give you generous portions! I love the Kung Pao Chicken! It is spicy but not overwhelming...The wait staff seemed pretty friendly and the lunch crowd usually hits it's peak around noon or so! Anyways..if you happen to be in the area check it out! It has pretty nice decor and the lunch specials are pretty generous! I would definitely go there again!
