MY REVIEW: I really enjoyed this restaurant; its the reason why I keep going. I always order a fajita torta ,since its one of the better ones I've had in Houston. The waiters/waitresses always greet you with a kind smile. Next I might try a new dish; probably an authentic Mexican dish. I also enjoy watching sports available on their many wide screen TVs. Great food with great service is always the perfect combination.

MY REVIEW: We are so happy that this restaurant has reopened under a new owner....we have missed it. We visited last night and loved the food. We're going back tonight for more food and more music (Dueto Unico - a group that played at the old restaurant for a long time)! Our waitress was efficient and personable...we'll ask for her again. Met the GM and he seems like he will be a great asset to the restaurant. Good to see that they brought back some of the old staff, too. They have done a nice job updating and sprucing up the place but retained it's fun border atmosphere. We tried the chamucos at the bakery next door and they were great. We drive from NW Houston and the drive is definitely worth it!!

MY REVIEW: I went here for lunch one day. The taco salad that I order was really good. Lots and lots of flavorful, shredded chicken. They only have packets of Ranch salad dressing, which I did not even use. The wait was a little too lunch but the restuarant was very, very busy. The front parking lot was filled and we parked in the rear. Fortunately, the back of the restuarant was neat (I hate when the back of restuarants are nasty and trashy). Lunch was not cheap- chicken taco salad and Pepsi was about $10. But I would reccommend. Today I called my order in and I will pick it up in about 10 more minutes!

MY REVIEW: This is one of the finest Mexican restaurants in town. One of Houston's first hispanic oyster bars, their seafood is outstanding (I think they serve the only edible octopus in Houston, the ceviche is wonderful, the seafood soup is great, and the cocktails (vuelva de vida) are nothing less than restorative), and there are great dishes on the non-seafood side (carnitas, puerco asado, enchiladas de Senora, etc.).
On weekends they have entertainment which pretty much defies description. One warning: this place is a little *too* authentic for some people.

MY REVIEW: This has to be one of the best Mexican restaurants in Houston, heck, in Texas. If you want a place to bring out of town visitors for some REAL, Authentic Mexican food which is as tasty as authentis, this is the place!!! If you like spicy hot sauce, be sure to ask for the Salsa Muey Picoso (sp?) as it's not on the menu. On weekend evenings the live music adds a nice touch, but you might want a table a bit from the stage as they can get loud sometimes. When my guests ask what I recommend from the menu, I say everything, I try something different every other time I go, bu my fave is the Chicken Mole.

MY REVIEW: An authentic family run Mexican restaurant. The dinner crowd is generally Hispanic families out for a nice evening. The food is outstanding, the service is extremely attentive and the music in the evenings included a combo playing Latin standbys and audience requests. Be sure and stick around for the mariachis. A winner in every way!
