MY REVIEW: The service was excellent ..... the Waitress was extremely nice and attentive, but the food was not great, in fact a big dissappointment. The sausgage was barely cooked, the ribs were not hot (it was almost as if it had been sitting there for awhile) the potatoe salad fair...the bake beans had no season.
I will probably never go back...what ashame...sometimes I wonder why do people rate this place in the Top Barbecue places in Houston ...it doesnt come close

MY REVIEW: I'd been going to Joe's multiple times. Always get me a cheeseburger and aweet potato fries. Been a big supporter, and have sent plenty of visitors their way via word of mouth (there's a reason why a good portion of business comes from a certain satellite provider's local call center lol). Today, however, is the last time I'll ever eat at Joe's.
After a rather large to go order, I arrive home to find out my order was shot to ***...burgers had tomatoes on it after I specifically said not to, and they were cold. Not only that, they forgot my peach cobbler. So, I place a call and speak to one of the rudest managers I've come across in my life. Long story short, you *never* want to tell a customer "I'm too busy for this...that's why I had someone else to place your order". I was told to bring my *entire* order back in order to get my peach cobbler. So I did, burgers were remade. Only thing is...it took *forever* for it to come out. Only after I told the cashier that I wanted my money back did it come out.
I get home over an hour after placing my original order, to find my burgers cooked past the point of being well done (I had ordered them medium but was told they are not cooked to order) but at least were hot this time. Unfortunately they were overly greasy to the point where my daughter would not even touch hers. Oh...and the peach cobbler? It was apple. -_-
Hey Joe, whaddya know? I'll drive to Westheimer to go to B*rger Guys next time.

MY REVIEW: First time going to Joe's...got some food on the way to work. Ate me a hamburger, as I am a burger freak and have to eat one any place I go. I'm SO glad I did...the meat was nice and fatty (lean meat = dryness!), and very juicy...just the way I like it! Next time I'll try one of the other items, but I had to gets me a burger!

MY REVIEW: Went to Joe's today for the first time. I would consider it fair.
The atmosphere was great and the service was quick. Had a baked potato with everything. It was a lot of food, but I was not that impressed with the flavor of the chopped beef on it.
I plan to give them another shot and try the sliced brisket and ribs before mark them off the list. I have heard a lot of good things about this place and I hope my next visit is better.

MY REVIEW: When I was a teenager I worked at Joe's(now 33). I still love Joe's; the people, the food, and the ambiance. Joe's is hands down the best BBQ in town. They don't skimp on the portions like some other corporate BBQ places around town. It's not some northerners idea of BBQ that they faxed the recipes all over the U.S. This is real Texas BBQ. Try the BBQ baked potato, or the sliced beef po-boy. The people lined up out the door every night don't seem to think it's too bad either.

MY REVIEW: Took a group of 25-30 to Joe's today (Alvin soccer tournament U15 boys). Everyone was very pleased. The folks in Joe's were very accommodating. We were all roasted from the sun after the soccer games, I know they filled my water glass at least 10 times. They were very nice to everyone.
After reading the negative reviews on B4, I was very tuned, and listened to all guest/worker conversations to check for friendliness. I don't think I have ever heard customer service folks discuss exactly what is available like Joe's did. I heard one of the counter persons tell a mom that they would cut from the middle of a turkey breast to keep the child from getting any BBQ or seasoning that may be too seasoned for a baby.
If you have had a negative experience, give them another try.
Great Place!

MY REVIEW: My husband had the loaded bake potato and I had the brisket, pork rib with cole slaw, potato salad and baked bean. The service is fast and portion is adequate. Baked potatoes had too much butter but it is good. I like my pork rib there are tender moist and flavorful. I would recommend this place.

MY REVIEW: Love the wood floors, the place needs it's rafter's dusted (and the animals too) The staff doesn't seem to want to be there anymore. service was spotty at best. The food was dry, but flavorful. Over priced. We gave it two tries in case they were having a bad day.. both times were consistant. Going by the other reviews, I would say that quality has been dropping over the years.

MY REVIEW: Went for lunch with my wife & grandkids. She got the buffet so our grandson would eat, but he totally dissed the mac & cheese & mashed potatoes. The chicken fingers were tender and edible, but what he really liked was the bread. She didn't really care for any of it. My grand daughter & I had brisket & ribs, and they were very dry and chewy. Probably won't ever go back.

MY REVIEW: I really enjoy the atmosphere at Joe's, and the food is pretty damn good too. When my older kids come to town they always want Joe's to be their first stop. The service has always been great, and the food is pretty damn good too.... I think I've said that before...

MY REVIEW: I really like this place! Love things like the personal touches (pictures, hard wood floors, homemade fudge for sale along with awesome cookies and candies) Was a little put off first time I went that you have to order upfront with a meu on the wall instead of at a table with a menu in hand so you can think about what to get. BUT I have come to love this style bcs I get my food quicker (seems like). Price are higher than I would pay at say fast food or pizza place but for what you get, service, speed and Great Bread it is a great deal.
I have had thier "Chicken Dieat plate" and thier Tuesady special of fried Shimp. It is great. I have never tasted a chicken that is so moist and the shrimp batter is crisp and tasty. I love the feel of so many people there and the hum of all the conversations going on. Its a nice size place but you still get the down home coziness.
Have gooooood Soup, homemade bread and salad area. Try it!

MY REVIEW: Food was bad. Chicken dry and burnt, the ribs were awful, tasted better at Chili's.The beans tasteless, and the brisket, well let's just say that my attempts were much better and I dod not cook brisket anymore as it was so bad. I will never go there again. They owe me $32. This was my first time and will not waste my time or money again.

MY REVIEW: Drove by Joe's on Sunday, 9/14, just after Ike came through and Joe had the smoker going in the parking lot with 20 or 30 people in line. Don't know if he was selling it or giving it away, but I bet those people appreciated a hot meal on the first day of many without power. Way to go, Joe!
And we eventually did find gas that day, after driving to the far side of Rosenberg.

MY REVIEW: I absoulutely love Joe's BBQ. Their southern hospitality is excellent. Diane always waits on us and makes us feel at home each time we go there. Ribs are mouth watering and steaks are to die for. I highly recommend this place if your are ever traveling through Alvin, TX. A warning on Tuesday nigths get pretty packed due to all you can eat shrimp night, but it is all well worth the wait.
