MY REVIEW: Strong points - clean and neat quaint building. we ordered from the lunch menu - flour tortillas with fajita meat. I am hispanic and KNOW what food should tast like so on that note - Tortillas are not homemade, meat was at room temp., pico look like from yesterday. The chips are good and the salsa was very cold and had an after taste. I think they should change cooks or go to more authentic cooking. Overall - fair probably will not go back.

MY REVIEW: My family went to the Cedar location for the first time today. My wife wants to support the local smaller spots, but I was leery. We all were rewarded with an excellent lunch. The main thing I noticed was that everything we had was very fresh, clean, and seemed to be made by hand. The pico de gallo served with the meal was not some watery mess but straight off the cutting board with just enough jalepeno to give a good occasional pop. The guac. was on crisp shredded lettuce and not too lumpy or smooth. The tortillas were not the chalky white kind, but almost translucent and browned just right. I was impressed by the diced beef in my dish as it was not cooked unto death, but just done and a bit of medium pink here and there. Service good.

I hope the dinner menu and on into the future they can consistantly make the food just right as we had today.

MY REVIEW: I ate at the resturant last night for the first and only time ever...The food was gross. I did not even eat it...When we entered the smell of smoke as overwhelming...the place had a small family style feel, but the food was aweful.

The tortillas were right out of a bag that you could by at Kroger. The enchilada was OK (only thing I ate) the tamale store bought and not homemade...I was extremely disappointed and will never be back....ughh

MY REVIEW: It's a shame about this place. The decor is interesting, the service attentive, and the margaritas are tasy, but the food is awful! We have had some very mediocre meals in the past but it is conveniently located so we decided to try again. My husband's meat (a stew-like variation on fajitas) was so salty he had to send it back (and we like salty food). The 'fresh' spinach in my enchiladas was straight out of the box with no flavoring, sauteeing, anything - yuck. The tacos that my husband got as a replacement were really less than average.

MY REVIEW: Visited a couple of times at lunch. Bad every time. The "nachos" don't even measure up to ballpark nachos; you know, the stale chips and synthetic cheese variety. Tortilla soup is thin, weak and tasted like they used canned chicken. A disaster. Giving away my age, I kept going back because of the memories I had of better meals at the location on Kirby many, many moons ago. Steer clear!

MY REVIEW: Mexican food has always been a favorite. Now that I have found Casa Dominguez it is the only place I will eat at. I always have a hard time deciding what to eat, since everything is GREAT! Never have had a bad dinner. My favorite is sitting at the bar having Margaritas, salsa, pico de gallo and chips. The owners and staff are the greatest. I think they should be listed as 5 Stars! Thanks Casa for all the great food and great times!

MY REVIEW: Great Margaritas & Fajita Nachos! I now drive from Pearland to Bellaire just to have their RITAS. Friendly people and atmosphere, it makes you comfortable. Sit at the bar & you will get into a conversation.

MY REVIEW: I finally visited for the first time, after years of just driving past. I had heard and read many positive comments, so my hopes were up for a pleasant meal.

This was not to be.

I was, at best, underwhelmed. I had spinach enchaladas - these sort of cheesy cream sauce was separated and not pleasant. The spinach was likely canned, and definately bitter. The corn tortillas were very soggy almost as if they had been boiled. The plates were chipped, broken, worn and dirty looking. My dinner plate was a fiesta type ceramic plate where not only the glaze, but the ceramic itself was chipped away in the middle of the plate leaving a deep chip. The same plate had lots of black scrape marks all over it as if it had been continually rubbed against aluminum pans. At the very least it was an unappetizing appearance.

This must have been a good place at some time in the past, as it seems to have a positive reputation among the locals, however, my one visit was not enough to bring me back.

There were two nice things that I can mention. The people sitting at the table near me on the patio, were friendly regulars and we had a nice chat, they recommended the margaritas; and the neighborhood squirrel who likes to beg for food, and will actually eat tortilla chips was a delight.

MY REVIEW: By far the best Mexican food anywhere. The service is excellent, knowledgable and courteous. Casa Dominguez and its owner Ken Trevino deserve 4 stars.

MY REVIEW: This was my first time here. Had a little trouble finding it at first. The awning in front says Trevinos. I was looking for good, authentic mexican food. This wasn't it. Tacos were made with pre-made shells (like the ones at T*aco Bell, but TB's are crispier), so the tacos fell apart at the suggy bend when I picked them up. Guacamole was bland. Service was okay, restaurant was decorated nicely.

MY REVIEW: This is the absolute best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. The secret is the salsa! They make fresh salsa everyday, and it's deliciously spicy. Even though I don't live/work near this fabulous restaurant, I find the time to go at least two or three times a month. They have a real family atmosphere, and they treat you great. On a scale of 1 to 10, they are definitely a 10+!
