A good place for a relaxed meal! It's a weekly stop on my dining out list!

MY REVIEW: If you like your cheese burgers hot and juicy served quickly with fat tomatoes, onions or just plain this is the place. They have t.v.'s behind the bar and it is casual and friendly; I've never had a bad meal here. You may run into an elected official, a sports figure, or an ex-president - try not to stare; it's really them. Enjoy.

MY REVIEW: I absolutely LOVE Pappy's!! They are always friendly, no matter if you are dining in or ordering to go. Their chicken tenders are the best, their salad dressings are homemade and oh so much better than from a bottle. The 'ritas are strong and the atmosphere is laid back and unpretentious. Whether having a party or dining solo, I am always treated as a valued customer. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good meal with a relaxing, friendly atmosphere.

MY REVIEW: Hands down one of the BEST restaraunts around houston, burgers, salads, salmon, chicken tenders, everything! I've been coming to Pappy's for almost two years now and i refuse to go anywhere else for a burger. Great specials, excellent margaritas, the service is wonderful and always friendly. It's very relaxing compared to the frozen food restaraunt chains all around Houston.
i strongly recommend Pappys to anyone interested in having a nice relaxing DELICIOUS meal

MY REVIEW: This place is located by my work and my co-workers and I just LOVE it, nothing on that menu has ever been dissapointing, some of my favs are the chicken tenders, chicken tender salad, their burgers (any one of them), and the deluxe chicken sandwich. Maybe its the homemade buns, crouton, or ranch but this place is GREAT!!!!

MY REVIEW: My family and I have been eating here at Pappy's for the last 15 years. It has become a family favorite and we tell all of friends to go. We have found that they have very competitive prices along with good quality homemade food. The bartender told me that they make all of the own batters, dressings and their recepies are made in house. I would strongly suggest their Caesar salads, Ribs, scorpion tails, and a new favorite of mine is their Blackened Catfish topped with a Crawfish Etoufee topping that is to die for. What is so great about the etoufee is they don't charge extra for it and it taste great. I would like them to experiment with some different kinds of desserts and possibly some other fish. I know they'd do a great job. They have great prices at the bar as well. Frozen Margaritas only $2.00... I be back for years to come. Go visit them.

MY REVIEW: After all the good reviews my mom and I decided to go eat at Pappy's. We were sat at the table and realized we didnt have a light in the lamp above us. It was really nasty out yesterdy so a little light would help. well it took 3 ppl working there and 15 minutes later we finally got a light buld. we ordered the guac chip appotizer. the chips were stale and you thought that you got tons of guac but most of it was a bed of lettuce underneath. My Mom ordered a Hamburger which turned out very good. I ordered the chicken tenders. They werent that great. They were a little to greasy and the fries were too. Ill go back again with the bf to give it another chance and Ill try the burger.

MY REVIEW: The food was wonderful. And because my bf's kids are here for the summer and I have a 10 year old.. it was great with the kids under 12 eating for 99 cents. We plan to make it a regular spot. We had the grill catfish, the blackened catfish po' boy, the mac and cheese, and 2 orders of chicken fingers and fries. In addition, we had their new broccoli, rice and cheese caserole. Man... the veggies were great. You could very well order just the veggies and have a great meal. You won't be disappointed. Try it.

MY REVIEW: I love the Malibu Salad and the $1.50 margaritas! The service is excellent! The peanut dressing on the salad is the best! I order this salad every time I go, which is about once a week, sometimes more.

MY REVIEW: Our family has been going to Pappy's for years and it is one of a kind. When we are deciding on what Houston eatery to go to--Pappy's always gets the winning vote. We went to Sunday brunch on April 2 and had a perfectly great breakfast. My wife ordered the Eggs Sardou and absolutely loved them. I ordered the Lone Star Omelet and it was both tasty and satisfying. Our son raved about the breakfast tacos. We will recommend brunch at Pappy's. Our experience was delightful and we have never had anything but a great meal there.

MY REVIEW: My son and daughter will not go anywhere else for burgers - and we've tried all in the area. They use a special-order bun, white or wheat, that cannot be substituted. They are reliably good every visit.

MY REVIEW: We, my family - 5 adults and 3 children - attended brunch on Sunday of Labor Day week-end - it was wretched. My daughter and I ordered French Toast - it was brown bread, sprinkled with confectioner's sugar and it was cold when it arrived at the table - the syrup was cold. My daughter-in-law ordered eggs sardou and the sauce was horrible. My son ordered some sort of egg omelet which was tasteless, the fruit bowl had no taste and the hash browns on the plates were nasty looking. My granddaughter ordered a bowl of oatmeal and evidently it was ok - how can one screw up oatmeal. The bloody mary's were excellent - comparable to B*rennans - but the coffee was not good.
I had lunch today at Pappy's and the chicken fried steak was excellent and the margarita was good. Maybe you should stay with lunch and dinner.
I will return for lunch and dinner but I will not be back for your brunch entrees. Evidently your chef was not trained at D*enney's for breakfast foods.

MY REVIEW: WONDERFUL!! Pappy's has never disappointed me. They have fabulous grilled shrimp and chicken friend steak (don't forget to try the creamed spinich). And definately try the tortilla soup. If you go during happy hour they have cheap margaritas that are amazing!! The people are very friendly, the atmosphere relazing, and the food worth coming back for!! If you haven't been there, what are you waiting for?

MY REVIEW: I've been ordering meals from Pappy's Grill for approximately seven (7) years. I've had many a good meal there. Their BBQ ribs make Chili's baby back ribs look and taste like paper copies. They make an excellent rare hamburger for those of us who like such things. The ground beef is of the quality that makes a rare burger really sing...if ya know what I mean. A place hard to beat...give it a try or three.

MY REVIEW: First time ever to visit this comfortable and well established eatery. The service was very freindly and the food was excellent. Lots of neighborhood familieis and locals seem to like this place. I ordered the "Bubba's Chicken" and my wife ordered the "Chilli Salmon". The salmon was cooked perfect, one inch thick, not dried out and came with a sweet chile glaze, cream spinach and mashed mashed potatoes the way they used to make'em. The chicken was also very good! They have this appetizer called "Scorpions" that are shrimp stuufed with jalepano and jack cheese and rapped with baecon, these babies are big and very tastie. Great experience. I will be back!

MY REVIEW: This is a very nice neighborhood grill that I drove by for years before finally trying. I was very pleasantly surprised and have returned numerous times. From the menu, I would recommend the chicken fried steak and fried shrimp. Both are crispy and good as are their very cold dinner salads with home made dressings. Their daily lunch specials include pot roast and chicken/dumplings which are both very good.
The atmosphere is casual and the staff very friendly.
