MY REVIEW: We had brunch, awesome migas, homemade tortillas, the food was all fresh and there were large portions, very authentic and tasty as if your abuela was in the kitchen. It is right near Hobby airport, so I hope they do well at that location.

MY REVIEW: I have been going to Don Carlos for many years. I have nothing to say but positive things about the food, drinks and staff. When I have family come in from out of town I take them to Don Carlos. My co workers and I try to go once a month to enjoy the margaritas, food and service. The only thing that needs improvement is more space in the bar area it gets pretty crowded during happy hour sometimes you can't find a seat.

MY REVIEW: I normally eat at least once a week at this restaurant, but i will not eat here again. First, I ordered a beef soup I was served a soup with no vegetables, the cook knew he had run out of veges, but still served it anyway. Then,I asked for a lemonade and was told they didn't have any so i ask for water and a slice of lemon and was charged 2.95 for a lemonade to go i complained but to no avail. I do not appreciate getting ripped off.

MY REVIEW: Always a good experience. Food is AUTHENTIC (unlike other more popular restaurants). Portions are big, service is quick, food is fresh. Margaritas are great! 76th Street is the best, don't bother with the other locations.

MY REVIEW: I have reviewed the comments on this restaurant, I dont agree with the negative comments. I have never had a bad experience, that they didnt fix. There was a time they messed up the order. They got the manager and he was able to fix it. I have been going to this restaurant since i was a teenager and now I am 26. I got there all the time, they are by far the best mexican restaurant I have ever been to. I would recommend them to anyone, I actually already recommend to everyone. When my family walk through that door they already know who I am. The service, food and staff is great!!!!

MY REVIEW: The food is very tasty. Some of the employees don't understand English- but they are quick to find one that does. I called in an order and then picked it up. They charged me for a large container of sauce which I thought was not right. I told them I would eat so much more sauce eating there. I paid the extra and took my sauce. When I got home they left out my beans. It wasn't worth going back for. I will go again, just not happy about the charge for extra sauce and the missing beans.

MY REVIEW: Strong Points: I had my first experience last night at Don Carlos (recommended by a co-worker). I was amazed at how quick my order was delivered to me. The quality of the food is superb, and the service of the waiter was exemplary. The atmousphere was great and the staff attentive. We were not only attended by our waiter. One of the busboys saw me lean to view the television screen. He immediately asked if he could turn it for us (after seeing that no one else was interested in the program). (After our meal) We stacked our dishes for him to take when he (our waiter) came through. Another waiter from a different section passed and offered to take them away for us.
Weak points: The only thing I could see is that the hosts were a little distracted and lacked a friendly greeting (this coulb be to the fact that it was Halloween). I havent much to contribute in regards to there specialties/desserts because their portions were generous enough that we had leftovers. But I will definitely recommend Don Carlos to aeveryone I know.

MY REVIEW: Bad experience : I usually go there about 3-4 times per month but yesterday was and will be my last trip to this restaurant and this is why: We went there for lunch at around 3-4pm there was 4 adults and 1 child under 3 and one under 10 yrs old. Now this is the same people we take every time but I guess since we spent over $100.00 they hit us up with the 15% tip because they said there was 6 people in our party. This is the first time they have done this to us, I asked to speak with the manager and she was very rude to me and said "well you have six people and its stated at the bottom of the menu so you have to pay it or else" and she almost shoved a menu in my face and than she said "see its there" and than walked away. I tried explaining to her that we go there at least once per week and it was the same people always and sometimes even one more toddler under 3 and we never got charged the 15% mandatory tip. She did not want to hear it and had already walked away. I did make my self-clear and told her I was going to report this to the BBB and she seems to not care. So if you want a hassle free lunch DO NOT GO TO DON CARLOS MEXICAN RESTAURANT"

MY REVIEW: I grew up down the Street from this Restuaraunt, and I have to say I seen it grow, from a small mom & pop shop to one of the best Mexican Restuaraunts. And not once have they let me down. GOOD SERVICE, GOOD FOOD, A+++++++

MY REVIEW: My husband and I are the most crazed critics when it comes to any type of food. We eat out ALL the time (NO WE'RE NOT HUGE). We've been to pretty much every Mexican Restaurant in Houston including Taquerias and we alway's manage to come back to Don Carlos @ 75th...Service is great, food is fresh and yummy plus they have great margaritas! Unfortunately the SW & Broadway locations do not compare..Sorry...

MY REVIEW: My family & I have been dining at the Don carlos restaurant since my oldest child was 3 years old. She is now 22 1/2. I saw the 76th avenue restaurant grow from a little house to a full size rest. We have always enjoyed their food and their services. We have visited the other 2 locations and the service is not the same. We do visit the SW frwy location & occasion and I have not had any issues with them. And yes I have encountered the occasional dirty dish or utensil before. Also the broadway location, the food was not that great. BUT REMEMBER THAT THERE ISN'T ANYTHING BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL. We still would rather visit the 76th rest. because we normally go for b-days & anniv. parties and have at least 15 to 32 people in our group. I still reccommend the food and service @ the 76th ave. location.
The food is always great, hot and the service is worth coming back for. My Anniversay is this month and My husband & i will probably have dinner there that nite.

MY REVIEW: I don't know what the last reviewer was talking about. The service is always fast... your food is always served just the way you order it, and very quickly. They have great lunch specials. Free Queso with chips. The food is hot, fresh, and delicious. The management is always up and active, checking on tables and making sure that all patrons are fully satisfied. I feel sorry for the folks who wrote bad reviews, I'm not sure what day they might have attended, but my office and I go several times a week at times. The food is great! the service is great! Hope they have better experiences next time. **One word of warning** go at lunch, the prices are a big expensive at night but the lunch specials are huge portions for reasonable prices.
