MY REVIEW: This was our first visit to a TGI Fridays ever, and we were very disappointed. It may have been this particular location, but the service was terrible and we even stopped in for lunch on the early side--about 11:30AM. There were only a few other tables of people and it took the waitress over 40 minutes to even take our order. By the time we got it, my chicken was lukewarm and overcooked around the edges and the broccoli was almost raw. It then took another 10 minutes to get our check. The whole experience was miserable as we spent over an hour to get a simple sandwich, soup and entree. Also, it was very overpriced. We will never go back to this location and proably never to TGI Fridays.

MY REVIEW: I hope others will give this location a chance, though I can certainly empathize with the poor service the previous reviewer got here, I hope she will return and ask that Andre serve their table!
We were looking for a relaxing drink and appetizer before a movie, last Friday. I have to admit, we could not have been happier with our food and drinks, and want to add that the excellent service we got from Andre, made this visit great. Andre is attentive, informative and helpful--he never missed a beat when it came to what we needed, and inquiring about our foods and drinks, and whether we were enjoying them.
I have to admit that when this location is busy, it is wicked busy! if you can go at an "off' time..like before 6pm on a weekend, or any weeknight, about 8:30, the service is good. But..and time of day, we will be asking for Andre as our server, to be assured of great service Every time!
The new Caribbean steak and shrimp was very good, as were the quesadillas and potsticker appetizers--portions are adequate for sharing too.

MY REVIEW: This was about the poorest service I have ever received at a restaurant. My friends and I went to have a couple of drinks at a low key restuarant. I called TGI Friday's and they said they had drink specials so we decided to go there. We arrived about 9:30 at night so the place wasn't very busy. The waitress was very accomadating at first. There were six of us and we ordered drinks from the drink special menu. An hour later we ordered food and a couple of more drinks. As the night progressed we each ordered a couple of more drinks. At about 12:30, the waitress said the manager was cutting us off. We were all baffled as we were not being loud or doing anything stupid, we even had a 4-month baby with us. We asked to speak to the manager so we could ask her why she was cutting us off and to show her we weren't drunk. She came out and was very stand offish right from the beginning. She said that we had not eaten enough food for the amount of drinks that we had ordered. We explained to her that we had been there for over three hours and each had three drinks, plus we had ordered food. She would not accept our explanation and said we would have to wait 45 minutes to order another drink, but said it probably wasn't worth it since last call was in an hour. It seems that the manager's values were not very drinker friendly. That was the situation we had.
The second was when we asked the waitress for our tab. We assumed that since we were ordering from the drink special menu that we would get the drink special prices. She also never asked us what size or quality of drinks we wanted. When we got the tabs, we noticed that she had billed the normal priced drinks and not the specials. She did not want to change the prices of our drinks. After speaking to another manager, we finally got the correct prices. but not without a bad attitude from him.
Top to bottom, this place needs some training on good customer service.

MY REVIEW: If you like to have great conversation with friends while you enjoy a good meal at a nice restaurant don't go to TGI Fridays on a Sunday evening - it seems they'd rather have some asinine contest between their bartenders with a noise level that would do a heavy metal concert proud, rather then provide a suitable venue for dinner and conversation.

MY REVIEW: Used coupon and tried this place. As soon as I walked in I was approached by a teenager who barely said hi while not making eye contact. Our order was taken by another teenager who was slow and forgot our crackers we requestd twice! Looking at the kitchen I noticed lots of non waiter people traffic going thru. Also saw a kid in shorts assist real waiter by carrying out two plates to a table. Food was ok. Service was not good. Might be back " after-school". What's up with putting your million dollar investment and your reputation in the hands of teenagers?

MY REVIEW: This was my first visit to a Fridays since the 1980s. I wasn't expecting much, I don't generally like these type restaurants too much: food is generally overpriced, indulgently fatty/unhealthy, etc. But I was pleasantly surprised, at least enough to want to come back again some time.
I have long complained that Sugar Land needs more restaurants open past 10pm, so I was really surprised to learn that Fridays right down the street is open quite late (actually one of our teens mentioned it after initial plans fell through). They might want to consider advertising this fact a little more, putting up a neon "open" sign or something!
Anyway, it was late on a Sunday night, holiday weekend, so I didn't know what to expect, but they were supposedly open till midnight (later other nights), so my wife and I thought we'd try it. Service was great, even coming in around 11:15. The food was first-quality and fresh even at that hour, too. I had a burger and onion rings, and everything was done right on it. Definitely plan to go back, and delighted to find another late-night option in Sugar Land.

MY REVIEW: I go there often for lunch and dinner but no one knows me - and that does not bother me. The food value is above average but the mixed drinks are definitely below average - a little too much water. Several times during rush hour periods I have witnessed a circus of sorts at the front, seating customers may be rocket science here. It is still convenient and food is good. The service could use a little additional training.

MY REVIEW: I absolutely love this Friday's. The bartenders are very nice, lots of personality and attentive. And a couple are pretty hot too! I always come by when I'm in town. Ive only been on weekdays and have a blast like it's a weekend. The drinks are made to perfection, I always seem to get the same bar maid. She's great. Personable and remembers me everytime and what i drink. Food and happy hour are excellent. I remember the times year back that I stopped coming because I felt it was going down hill but now it is better than ever.

MY REVIEW: This place was a joke! I got the sizzling shrimp and chicken because it looked great on the menu. Too bad what came out looked nothing like the picture. The "chicken breast" was less than 1/8th of of an inch thick and not as big as the chicken tender on the kid's plate. Actually, the chicken tender on the kids plate was about 5 times the size of mine and the shrimp looked like salad shrimp. Not to mention my husbands shrimp were over fried and tasted like they were fried in burnt grease. Those plates should have never come out of the kitchen. We spent $60 on a meal and came out still hungry and I'm a small person(4'11). The manager of this restaurant should be embarrassed! We won't be going back!!!

MY REVIEW: Great menu and selection of drinks - I have been to several of these in other states and am generally a fan - However, the one in Cypress seems to need a manager. Sat down with my family and finally left after 15 minutes because no one would bring us a drink, take our order or even introduce themselves...I counted 5 different waiters walk by our table but they didn't give us the time of day.
I was surprised since there were a lot of empty tables. Too bad - I really liked their food in the past.

MY REVIEW: The time to close said 11pm on the front and a 1025 on Sunday evening we walked to the door and a waiter says, "We are serving alcohol only, no food."
No where was this posted that food would not be available after 10 or 1030? When asked where this was posted, the guy just shrugged his shoulders! Now, I waited tables and used to HATE it when people would come in at the few last minutes to close, but we were going to order our food to go and we still had at least 30 minutes. How convenient that alchohol is the ONLY thing being served on a Sunday night. Sounds to me like the manager needs to grow a pair, and listened to his waitstaff who insisted on shutting down early. We were not the only ones hungry and he turned away a few people ahead of us too, who knows how many after and before? That would have been a good 50-100$ more in sales for the day, but I guess we were not worth it.

MY REVIEW: Don't waste your money over at the new Cypress location, either. I know their plug is "right portion, right price," but come on. I ordered a California club. It came with a skimpy portion of mediocre fries, and the sandwich itself had 3 thin slices of meat, one slice of cheese and not even half a small avocado. The sandwich itself was about the size of my fist (and I am about 5' 2", so I am not big!) Next time, I will get W*ndy's ciabatta sandwich and get the same quality food for less. Plus I'll get a drink and fries included!

MY REVIEW: TGF Fridays usually is my favorite restaurant. This Fridays is not worth your time or money. My husband and I have gone here a few times in the past few months and the food was not that great. What really made me mad were their mixed drinks. You think since we paid $8 a drink we would get something that had alcohol in it. My husband ordered a long island Ice tea, which is suppose to be mainly alcohol and a very strong drink. His drink was watered down and you could hardly taste the alcohol! I also ordered a mudslide and the whole drink was ice cream. On another occasion I ordered a margarita and it barley had alcohol in it. THEY HAVE A HORRIBLE BARTENDER and Don't order their EXPENSIVE DRINKS! Their food wasn't as good as other Friday's I've been to, it was just average. This location has gone down hill in the past year!

MY REVIEW: On this night a new male manager did a great job! The hostesses were very pleasant, servers were on task. Smiling, working hard, and food was sent out correctly. A male manager was energetic and helpful, asking if all customers were happy. The Jack Daniels chicken and shrimp, as well as the ribs were fabulous. The orders were all correct. Waitress was great, but she did not know how to open wine. The cork was split inside the bottle while trying t open it. Remember to get some help with this if you are not confident, as wine is an expensive treat.
A great visit overall! Will definitely be back!

MY REVIEW: This is still one of the more dependable, high-quality food and service restaurants in Pearland right now. Yes, it is a chain, but their management is great.
I have to say though that our last couple of visits were not up to par as they usually are! (The male manager doesn't seem to be quite on task like the female one I guess.) Menu items were not exactly as listed on the menu (different sides or very small amounts). That is not acceptable. Also, when wine is ordered, please bring it out quickly so guests may enjoy it leisurely prior to getting food. Another mistake made was that a child's dessert ordered was brought out incorrectly twice. (Ice cream sundae was ordered, and first we received the dirt cup, second we just received one scoop of vanilla ice cream.) Again, waitstaff and/or management not being very attentive to details or accuracy of orders! Keep up the good work and please work on these problems.
