Shanghai Inn

MY REVIEW: After only one visit at Shanghai Inn, I know I will now be a frequent customer. The food is excellent, good quality, and fresh...even late at night. The Wonton soup and General Tso's Chicken was the best I have ever had. I cant wait to try more entrees!

MY REVIEW: I was pleasantly surprised that this place hidden in a corner would have delicious food. I began coming here last year and started getting pick up orders. I call in and my order is ready to pick up on time everytime. You gotta try the General Tso Chicken it is top notch. I also get the shrimp egg foo yung and its delicious. I always request table mustard and hot chili sauce and now they remember my specific condiments like I'm family. I occasionally come in for the Sunday buffet limited items, but good selection and fresh food. I will be back

MY REVIEW: Let me tell you this place has delicious Chinese food!. Everybody knows my name and I am constantly here for my daily appetite. I always get the Beef and Broccoli, Shrimp Fried Rice, General Tso CHicken, and Pork Dumpings. Man oh man... The food is delicious and well portion for a big man like myself. I highly recommend this Chinese restaurant. I live in Barker Cypress and I can't seem to find one that satisfies my cravings like Shanghai Inn does.

MY REVIEW: When I visit my grandson who lives off 290, we order food from there and have it delivered. My daughter and son-in-law eat there often. I must say, I am most impressed with their dumplings. I love dumplings and eat them every time I see them on a menu. My husband and I eat in Chinatown often, but none are as good as these. I now order an order to eat that night, and an order to take home!!! I would love to meet the cook!!!

MY REVIEW: I ordered the General Tso's chicken for home delivery. The chicken was good! This was $8.25, with it came a container of white boiled rice. I have never been impressed by boiled rice,I wanted chinese food for my birthday. I can do boiled rice at home myself. So I inquired about the chicken fried rice, this was an additional 4.75 and this rice was as bland as the white rice, it did not have any flavor. I also tried the egg drop soup, which was average. I had to order egg rolls in addition to all above at additional charge. If I had wanted any vegetables, it would have been more for those. As it was I ended up with a bill for $19.50 for the food and I gave a $3.50 tip to the delivery person making a total of $23.00 for one meal. To sum it all up, too pricey and the food is only average. It should come with side dishes included, not a separate charge. For a self bought birthday dinner, it was very disapointing!

MY REVIEW: Was very impressed with the quality of the food. My husband and I have eaten here 3 maybe 4 times. We tried it on a whim, after shopping at the Kroger. Since the place is hardly noticed and looks kind of shady we thought the food would be kind of fast foodish, but we were hungry and craving Chinese. We enjoyed our food greatly. We have had the Orange Beef, Sweet/Sour Pork, and a spicy shrimp dish that I don't remember the name of. We have also had the wonton and egg drop soup. The place is very clean and the staff very friendly. We mostly get delivery now and it's just as tasty. So if you are ever in the 290/Fairbanks area, and are wanting Chinese. This is the place

MY REVIEW: I was pleasanlty surprised this seamingly hole in the wall, tucked in the corner of a shopping center had such excellent food. Combination dinner plate was enough for me take home and have lunch the next day. Wonton soup was hot and delicious, pork fried rice had real oriental veggies (not peas and carrots), & Moo Goo Gai Pan was supurb. I loved the egg rolls! Will dine there again.

MY REVIEW: Well prepared food. Wonton soup is always hot and delicious. We've had General Tso's Chicken, Shredded Pork - Peking Style, Happy Family etc.... Egg rolls are great, barbeque pork is just right!!! The best part is that you can go there at 8PM on a Saturday night and there's no waiting. That's not to say that no one goes there, they have about 25 tables and there's always at least 7 full when we get there (it does get busier other times, of course). The management and workers are very nice and know who we are after so many visits.
If you want a great Sunday buffet, they have one for only around $6.
