Profile Description: Welcome to Korea Garden Restaurant, one of Houston's oldest Korean dining establishments. Located on Long Point, between Bunker Hill and Blalock, we invite you to a traditional Korean meal, in the setting of a beautiful garden and fountain.
MY REVIEW: We are a monthly lunch group that has been trying new places for the past two years. We've done Japanese a couple of times, Vietnamese a couple of times, Mexican a couple of times, Polish, American a couple of times, Thai a couple of times, Caribean Fusion, BBQ, Indian, and others that escape me at the moment. We are all agreed that this is our favorite yet!
Strong Points: Private room for our group, quick service, great wait staff, wonderful food, very reasonable lunch prices.

MY REVIEW: This is my favorite restaurant. The service is usually very good. However, a language barrier might make some of the wait staff appear hesitant. If you leave hungry, you must not have asked for refills on the side dishes. I have been coming here for 15+ years and have never been charged extra for refills on the sides.

MY REVIEW: This is on my list of favorites for lunch. Korea Gardens has 6 items on their lunch menu (bulgogi, teriyaki, tempura, etc), and it is a great value for what you get! $6.50-$7.50 lunch specials include an entree, rice, kimchi, potatoes, spinach, and bean sprouts. I try to eat here once a week (for lunch), and I always have leftovers. My favorite is the spicy pork bulgogi.
Dinner at Korea Gardens is good too, but for a graduate student on a budget, I prefer to go here for lunch!

MY REVIEW: There are just no bad points about this place. The food is very well prepared everytime I come here and in large portions. The servicers are all very attentive and prompt. The Bibimbap is the best in town and the BBQ (Bulgogi, Bulgabi, etc.) are all excellant. I make it a point to try something new every visit and with the exception that some dishes were too spicy and had to be toned down for my taste, I have not been disappointed, ever. If you think that Tempura at the local Japanese restaurants are good, you have not tried it here -- they are more than a meal and presented gorgeously like an art work.
I'm a bit mystified by the criticisms from others on the service and food. I have been coming here for years and never -- that's NEVER been given anything other than good courteous service along with great food. Maybe, people are confusing this place with the other Korean restaurant across the street.

MY REVIEW: Very nice ambience, service and excellent food.
The dishes are good-sized portions and the many side dishes that came with it left my husband and I leaving stuffed. I will definately be back for more.

MY REVIEW: The ambience was nice, but the portions were tiny and the service was definitely lacking. Two of us spent $40 on the bulgogi and we were still hungry when we left. I am hesitant to return.

MY REVIEW: Highly Recommended!! Korea Garden has been around for years so I have taken friends and office colleagues to this place and each one of them have fallen in love with Korean food. The service is always great. No matter what dish I order, I leave stuffed but with a very happy stomach. However, I must warn you that a lot of the dishes are very spicy, but it seems like that's what Korean food's all about.

MY REVIEW: I really enjoy this place EVERY time I go there. We always order chicken, pork, and beef, and they bomb us with 30 to 40 side dishes. I love the variety of the side dishes, and the meats are always sauteed wonderfully. The waitress, (whoever it is) is VERY attentive, and keeps the food and drink coming. RECOMMEND!!

MY REVIEW: I've visited this joint a few times and the food is always, let me repeat, always great. My favorite dishes are dolsuk bibim bap and deaji kalbi which they prepare extraordinarilly! I've also visited this place a few mornings after a night of drinking and their kimchi chigae is the cure to all hangovers!
The service there is usually pretty good although the servers are a little slow on refilling beverages every now and then.
The inside of the reasturant is beautiful giving the feeling of eating in some peaceful garden in Korea. The entrance doors to the reasturant are probably my favorate though. Heavy wooden doors extravegantely carved which upon entering give me the feeling that I am entering another world in another time!

MY REVIEW: We usually go to S*eoul Garden for Korean, but our friends suggested that we meet them at Korea Garden. We were not very impressed with their food. The side dishes didn't seem very fresh and wasn't as tasty. We didn't think the server was all that great, either. If you like Korean food, you have to try S*eoul Garden for all out authentic.

MY REVIEW: We loved it. My wife is Japanese and entire family has spent a lot of time in Japan and Asia. This restaurant's food was an excellent reproduction of the wonderful food I have had during dozens of business trips to Korea. In particular, I had the MANDUKAK (Dumpling Soup) which was delicious. One son had Bibimbap, another had KUBAB (rice soup) My daugther had the pancakes (written in Japanese as Okonomiyaki on the menu, but somewhat different from the Japanese version) We all shared Kalbi and Bulgoki on the grill with the numerous side dishes. We loved it!
Service was prompt and friendly without being intrusive. Recommend it highly, especially to people who have done a lot of travel to Seoul and are looking for something similar to what they had in Seoul.

MY REVIEW: Their service is the bext I've seen amongst all other asian resturants. This was my first, but certainly not my last, visit to KG. The waitress was a great help since it was my first time and recommended a scrumptious dish. All I have to say is, I want more Korean food.

MY REVIEW: Korea Garden has great side dishes (though they vary from visit to visit), excellent ambiance, usually very good service, and the yummiest squid and ocopus stirfry I've ever had.
I love grilling at the table, but I'm also very happy with the dishes from the kitchen. The baked fish are very good, the aforementioned squid and octopus dish, the rice dishes-- all have made me pleased that I experimented.
Korea Garden is across from S*eoul Garden, but I prefer KG, mainly because of it's decor and side dishes.

MY REVIEW: Good place to enjoy Korean food.
Strong points: Nice ambience, people can talk easily, good vent system (very important for Korean grilling!)
Weak points: Waiter seemed to be afraid when we asked if second bowl of rice is complimentary.

MY REVIEW: This place is wonderful. My office is about a 15 min. drive, but I go there all the time with my co-workers. There's a gorgeous garden set up in the middle of the restaurant that gives it a warm welcome when we walk in. I absolutely love korean food, and this place is the best yet. I noticed that several people have complained bout service, and I used to notice it before, but I think they've gotten better about it. They're very sincere and helpful when you ask them about a specific dish.

MY REVIEW: The food is delicious, I can't say enough about it. However, the restaurant needs more employees in order to provide service that will be up to par with the food.

MY REVIEW: I've heard about this restaurant many times and it was WONDERFUL. I've been to several Korean restaurants because I absolutely love the concept of grilling your meat at the table, but I think this one has been the best. The garden in the middle is beautiful and the service is good.

MY REVIEW: They have a wonderful garden set up in the middle to make it a nice atmosphere. The food's pretty good compared to other korean restaurants I've been to, and the service is good as well.
