MY REVIEW: Strong points: I can't claim to be a connoisseur of Italian cuisine, but I do recognize high quality. And Rosie Carrabba has produced possibly the highest quality restaurant in the Houston area. Not because it's the most expensive - it's not. While certainly not cheap, the prices are moderate and the food is incredible. Well worth the 4 or 5 dollars more per dish you pay than for some low-cost Italian food chain. Remember, only Rosie's and her son Johnny Carrabba's restaurants (on Kirby) are still owned by the original restaurateurs. And while the chain Carrabbas are decent, Rosie Carrabba and her team make the Voss Rd. location outstanding. Though no restaurant is perfect, this is as close as it comes, and if you EVER have a bad experience, I can guarantee that Rosie will take care of you. Just mention it and she will help you. Make sure and tell her what you like about the restaurant, too, because she pours her heart and soul into it.
Weak points: I can never decide which dish I like best!

MY REVIEW: I love this place. The food is fantastic and very fresh ingredients are used. The long wait is worth it. Our server, Lindsay, was very attentive and very knowledgeble with the wine list and menu. The Calamari appetizer is huge and delicious. Keep room for dinner. The steak is fork tender with an incredible seasoning. The chicken bryan texas is a real treat. Loved the Rosa dessert. This location is the BEST of all the Carrabbas.

MY REVIEW: As always, this restaurant is amazing. Service is great, very attentive, helpful in selection of wine. The food was excellent, hot, fresh grated cheese. I had the chicken stuffed with fontina cheese w/angel hair on the side. Great selection -- dish was spiced perfectly. The Italian salad, too, was fresh, with nice light oil dressing. I am never disappointed here.

MY REVIEW: I have been going to this place since it opened 20 years ago. Something is wrong with the Voss location. It seems the small intimate restaurant has grown into a toursit location. They opened the back room, and have just ruined the ambiance, (A*rmando's did the same thing in the 90's). I am not kidding when I say this. I was there New Years Eve, and have been back about four times since, and have not had a good experince yet. The food is oversalted, and the portions have shrunk. We have had to ask for tea, water, and bread almost everytime. Something is wrong with the place. I do not know if the Mother still works there. I hope she comes back. I have not seen the owners in there in five years. I hope they come back. I also wish they would keep the back rooms for private parties. The service is challengeing at best. I feel they do not have enough staff, or something. They cannot deliver the best food, and service with that big of a resturant. They need more people, or shut down the back rooms.

MY REVIEW: Everytime I eat here, I think to myself that this must be some of the most wonderful food on the face of the earth. I've tried a few different dishes, but now I stick to the chicken or sirloin marsala. It's fabulous marsala and we sometimes order "extra" on the side for a couple dollars extra. Servers will bring you as much herbs and bread as you can handle and are friendly and experienced. I love the sangria here and order by the pitcher. Be careful because the sweet sangria can sneak up on you. I've always been too stuffed to try a dessert. The manager, I think his name is Rocky, can often be seen assisting or visiting customers around the restaurant and is friendly to those he recognizes as regulars. I've visited other Carraba's locations, but this is my favorite.

MY REVIEW: This resturant has an exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable staff. I dine at this location several times a month and they have continued to provide consistantly great food and service. They are only open for dinner and it's a very popular location, so with that in mind plan your visit accordingly and be prepared to wait a few minutes on weekend nights.
You can order appetizers and cocktails while you wait and enjoy the good weather on their covered patio. At your table they provide you with all the warm sourdough bread, olive oil and fresh herbs (for dipping) that you could ever want and it's delicious! The menu ranges from the standards of spaghetti and lasagana to seafood and steaks. Their Caprise salad is so simple (tomato, cheese and basil) and it's divine, I highly recommend it. The soups are flavorful and I can't think of any item on the menu that I don't like. I keep coming back not only for the food but for the warm hospitality and considering I live in Tomball and they are located in Sugar Land...that should say something.

MY REVIEW: Im usually such a big fan of Carrabba's when it comes to Italian food but unfortunately last night may have been a turning point. We all know how crazy Valentines Day can be and everyone is making last minute reservations. My husband an I always opt to order food and take it home. The strong point of this evening was that the curb side to go line was very organized. They had people out there to guide you and show you were to enter/exit. To go orders were an hour wait but that was fine. I called in around 6 and picked it up at 7. Everything was great until I got home. I could not believe how tiny my entrees were. Ive eaten here many times and know the portion. I always leave content and sometimes even have to take it to go. We ordered a large salad and was disappointed that it was barely enough for 2 small salad plates. When I dine in it comes in a huge bowl large enough for even 3 people to share. For our entree we ordered the shrimp damian and chicken fettacini. For a minute we just stood there looking at the pathetic piece of over grilled (almost black) chicken and small morsels of shrimp. Honestly, the shrimp looked like they suppose to be thrown out or put aside for other usage because I dont see them serving that to a customer dining in. Reluctantly we transfered them to our own dining plates and went ahead with dinner. After about 3-4 bites we finished our plate and sat there looking at each other wondering if we had some bread to make a sandwich. It was so ridiculous to pay close to $60 and still be hungry. My husband and I are not huge people and dont usually complain but this was not acceptable. Ive never had other restaurants skim on their portions just because it was take out. My husband refuse to dine here again. Regardless if it was Valentines or not, our dinner should not have been ruined the way it was.

MY REVIEW: this was the first time for my husband and myself to visit a carrabas restaurant. I thought that the food was amazing. Everything from the pizza to the desserts were fabulous. I would recommend the chicken marsala for an entree. They have a signature dessert (I don't remember the name of it) it has strawberries, cream and cake, if you are a dessert eater I recommend this dessert. Last but not least our waiter (Ricardo) did a spectacular job. I would like to give cudos to the whole staff, everyone that we met and came to our table were all very cordual. My husband is not an Italian food eater, but he said he would definately be back.

MY REVIEW: Love, Love, Love this location! I've been coming here for at least 10 years and have NEVER been disappointed! Everything on the menu is DELICIOUS! I especially love the Linguini Pescastore, Chicken Bryan Texas, salads, Calamari with big, plump shrimp cooked to perfection! All sauces are well seasoned and so flavorful! The bread, oil, and seasonings are such a delicious way to start the meal off and the drinks are great. There is usually a long wait for dinner, but it is WELL worth it! The servers, expecially the night crew are so professional and attentive! I can't say enough about this location! P.S. We've been to the ones in Copperfield and Sugarland and were so disappointed! Only recently we found out that they were franchises, NO WONDER! NO COMPARISON!

MY REVIEW: When a restaurant moves to a franchised operation, the general expectation is a drop in quality and a cookie-cutter approach to the food and service. Not so with the Bay Area Carrabba's. Daniel and his crew do a great job at making sure each and every patron is taken care of, and he has been able to maintain the "small town atmosphere" of taking care of all the details. The food is always primo, and the service great as well. The only thing missing is an outdoor patio with a good view and a Tuscany feel... But hey, options like that are limited in the Bay Area when not on the water. For your next visit, try something unique off the menu: Penne pasta with the Kickerillo sauce and fresh tomatoes mixed in -- you won't be disappointed!!!

MY REVIEW: My husbdand and I had a great meal at the Highway 6 location. The food was more than enough; infact we didn't bother with starters because the bread & oil dip was so tasty!
The menu is quite wide, there are plenty of good selections if you don't fancy old fashioned pizza/pasta as I did...I got a fish dish; scallops and king-prawns coevered in parmisan cheese which was excellent.
The dessert was also very good. The ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant - the tables are just far enough apart not to be noisy, and the bathrooms were spotless which is a big factor for many ladies like myself :)
In all, two dinners, dessert and a $30bottle of wine came to $85 including a generous tip which I thought was very reasonable. I would absolutley go back!

MY REVIEW: Being that my entire family is from up North we love Italian food. My wife and I are regular patrons of the Voss Carrabbas. We decided since we were shopping in The Woodlands that day we would try the Carrabbas there. I must say the quality of food and service is way below par at this location. We actually sat at our table for about 15-20 minutes before a waiter recognized us even though there seemed to be more then a handful of them standing around apparently doing nothing. Our appetizer came out about 30 seconds before we received our salads with the main course to follow several minutes later. The waiter gave us excuses blaming the kitchen on the timing etc. I asked the waiter as we began eating the main course if it was the kitchen's fault that we still did not have the bottle of wine that we had ordered the moment he first approached the table. He kept apologizing to us. Not only did we receive the main courses early but they were actually cold. The fettucine alfredo was hard and coagulated as if it was sitting under a heat lamp. I asked to speak to the Manager and was promptly told that he/she was unavailable at the moment and was there anything that he could do? My wife and I packed the food into take-out containers and paid the bill. As we walked out I asked the hostess if the manager was available and was told that someone named "Brook" had stepped out briefly but would return shortly. I assume this "Brook" is a manager so my question is this. Why would ANY restaurant manager leave their store unattended? If it was an emergency I can understand that in which case I should have been referred to whoever was in charge which I was not. This dining experience will not change my outlook on the Voss Carrabbas but we will never again dine at that Woodlands location. The two stores are like night and day in terms of service and quality of food. Spending roughly $100 on dinner there was definately not worth it. Sorry for the bleak review but I am just being honest.

MY REVIEW: While definitely not for the diner on a budget, the food is beyond superb. The staff is always friendly, nice, and attentive without hovering. The ambiance feels appropriate for nice meal out with that special someone without feeling stuffy. The real star of the of show, as it should be, is the food. Without a doubt the best fried cheese ever. Thick slices of mozzarella, lightly breaded and pan fried with no greasy feel, served with a nice, tangy marinara sauce. The Chicken Marsala is to die for and the Sirloin Marsala is equally wondrous. If you are really hungry, try the Chicken Trio and you won't be disappointed. The deserts are just as good the main courses. Their specialty drink, the Carrabatini, is a nice fruity refreshment indeed. Overall, one of my favorite places to eat when not watching the budget. Take cost out of the equation, and I give it an A+; head of the class.

MY REVIEW: One word. Appetizers, but save space for main meals.
Try the Shrimp Rafaelo (might be called Shrimp Scampi) on the other locations. Incredible! Large, fresh, crunchy, briny shrimp in this awesome lemon herb butter with garlic sauce. Served with thinly sliced toast it is almost a meal in itself --and is one if eating solo.
Other menu items you might want to try are the Insalata Fiorucci and the Chicken "Bryan Texas" --the later are two nicely cut chicen breasts, fire grilled and served with dollops of goat cheese and sun dried tomatoes with a side of pasta alfredo.
Come hungry, bring at least a 'bill' and a few friends. This location (Kirby) will not disappoint.
