MY REVIEW: We've been going here 4 years for Sunday brunches for Holidays and in general.

I have to say, the service is still good (we ask for the same Server each time), but the food quality is slipping.

The selection of food is still there but little details, like the Fried Shrimp is now much smaller and obviously not the same quality as before. The oysters Rockerfeller has become watery and tasteless, and it seemed like it was topped with collard greens instead of spinach. No grits, no oatmeal, no sausage patties, The Eggs benedict looked terrible, and the rest of the food was generally messy the way it was presented.

I'm going to give this place one more try, since we've been dining here so long but I'm disappointed for 30 bucks per head on father's day that we're seeing this kind of food. I have to say that it was disappointing.

MY REVIEW: Food very inconcistent, advertise that they have "Sushi Bar" for Sunday Brunch, been there twice and never have it! Excuses about new Chef or something. Went at Noon and food very leftover and dried out. Last visit, no King Crab legs, nothing special for $25.00. Thanksgiving was more elaborate but very unorganized and a little messy. Carving tstation roast beef, tough. Service good, though and nice decor. But food is very institutional! Probably will not return.

MY REVIEW: Great place to eat and enjoy visits with friends, it's quite, it's elegant, the food is great and so is the service!! I have been to Brady's Landing quite a few times for lunch and the buffet is very good, they have so much to pick from so if you get a dish that you are not fond of (you can't please everyone) then there will be something else there that you will love!! The roast beef (always cooked to perfection) the ham, pork tenderloin, the shrimp, the fish, etc. the vegetables are great and the wonderful salad bar along with the fantastic desserts (this is where you get into trouble!!) If you can't do the lunch buffet (which is a great deal price wise) then you can come for Dinner, I have only had the Prime Rib and it is always been cooked to perfection! I have always enjoyed my visits at Brady's Landing and will continue to visit for the great food, the friendly service and the wonderful atmosphere!

MY REVIEW: I came on this site to check this place out before I decided to take my father and our family to celebrate his birthday. We were seated almost immediatley by he water in the corner of the room and the atmosphere was very nice. We had a nice view of the racoon and rabbit scurring by our window and the wharf rat swimming by was amusing. On top of the "critters" that were right outside our window, the waiter who was taking care of the table next to us was very rude and insulted my husband by making comments about our city's police officers. The buffet was EXTREMELY pricey and was not that great. The pasta was mushy, the chicken was dry, and the potatoes were so bland I had to drink a glass of iced tea just to get them down. OUR waiter took our drink order and we never saw him again. I guess he assumed we would have the buffet and didn't bother giving us a chance to pick something from the menu. I though this place would have been a really nice treat for my dad, but it turned out to be a big disappointment...especially for the price. We will not be going back.

MY REVIEW: The restaurant is very nice whether you are having a special occassion (retirement, class reunion, reception or religious). The buffet has a excellent presentation and the food meets it expectation of fresh and delicious. The staff is very freindly and the atmosphere is very pleasant, whether you are young or old. I encourage that you ladies or guys try the brunches if you don't like to cook but you wants something that is close to home cook food this is the place . Whether to impress or to be impress this is the place. You won't regret it. Visitors will always remember this place.

MY REVIEW: I was told that Brady's Landing was where it's at. I don't think so, however, in regards to the ambiance, it was was nice. I was very disappointed with the food. I ate at the buffet and the food was very bland. I was not impressed considering how I have heard good comments. Finally, it was too pricey considering the food that was served.

MY REVIEW: This is a great place to eat yes it is $25.00 per a adult and $10.00 for children 5-10 and under 5 years of age they eat free if you eat the buffet. Just in case you do not want the buffet you can order from the menu. This is a very elegant place with you white linen table clothes and napkins nice wonderful low lighting. You have your water drinking glass on the table already waiting to be filled. The service is super and then some. You have snow crabs, crawfish, shrimp, catfish, gumbo, ham, roast beef, pork tenderloin, lemon pepper fish and tons of other items and a great list of deserts. This place is nice and tucked off you would never know about it if it was not for word of mouth. Everyone much try it you are missing out until you do......

When you go plan to spend two to two in a half hours there just to relax eat and enjoy the atmosphere. This great buffet I am speaking about is on Friday and Saturday nights starting at 5:fpm and yes they do take reservations...

MY REVIEW: The buffet was excellent and the wait staff was very attentive. We were trying out the food because we were going to talk to them about having our wedding there. However, they had no idea that was what we were doing. Once we ate and loved the waitstaff, we talked to their catering department. Needless to say we will be having our wedding here! Excellent place to eat!!!

MY REVIEW: Funny that reviewer Byron Hood mentioned the M*onument Inn since I volunteer aboard the Battleship Texas and we just had our annual dinner there. That's a great place and the Teriyaki Chicken was to die for. But going back to Brady's: I have eaten here several times over the past 5 yrs and the buffet is the best in town bar none!!! The roast beef is delicious, as is the shrimp, gumbo, and everything else on it. I feel that the price is pretty good as well. I took my partner here for the Valentine's Day Buffet and nothing comes close to having an excellent dinner next to the fireplace on a cool evening and watching the ships coming up the Channel. Great service too, keep up the good work Brady's Landing!

MY REVIEW: I love this place! It's right up there with M*onument Inn insofar as interesting view - my fiancee and I always bring binoculars to identify ships and birds. The food is fabulous, and the service is impeccable. I think the $12.95 lunch (Mon-Sat) buffet is one of the best deals in Houston. I can't wait to get back.

MY REVIEW: I took my class of special needs children to the restaurant on a field trip so we could practice our table manners after the port authority cruise. We were treated royally. They gave us a good price for the buffet, which was out-of-this world.

I'd never seen in-the-shell boiled shrimp deveined! Great and friendly service. We can't wait to go back for the buffet. We saw barges and tugboats and enjoyed the warm atmosphere.

MY REVIEW: This place is a carbon copy of *B*aby Doe's* restaurant in Dallas, if anyone has been there - don't know if they are the same company.

Great buffet with a huge selection. I went with coworkers for lunch and service was great, water refilled constantly - a little pricey if I were paying ($13)! Definitely more of a splurge than an everyday.

Can't wait to try the Sunday Champagne Brunch!

The view is not spectacular - the ship channel, and all you can see are a few surrounding buildings, and we saw one barge. But, the windows are tall, and the room is filled with light - nice to sit and pretend you are seeing the skyline or something!

Definitely go try it - and ONLY go when the buffet is running, and ONLY order the buffet. I think people are confused about the service because this place isn't really an 'order from the menu' kind of place...

MY REVIEW: Took Mom there for Mothers day, whole groups first time to visit this place! WOW! Is all I can say. This place is totally amazing. The selection is wide, and the wait staff is attentive. I never saw my glass go less than half. When I went back for more food, the last plate I ate on was never there! Totally friendly staff, great food, and a nice view of the city.

This is an AWESOME PLACE!

MY REVIEW: This was our second annual Christmas Eve dinner with family. The service and food was grrrrrrrreat as in our past visits. The prime rib and seafood gumbo was very good! The salad bar was fresh looking, and had the usual selections of cold foods. Only one problem, the wives were a little disappointed when our waiter said the menu was not available that evening, so we all had to eat off the buffet (usually just the men do that). Other than that, "…a good time was had by all"! We decided right there to officially make this an annual family event. And just when we thought the evening couldn't get any better, it was snowing when we left, and it looked so beautiful! Imagine that, snow on Christmas Eve in Houston, Texas! The last time that happened was over a hundred years ago. From all of us to the staff of Brady's Landing, have a Happy and prosperous New Year! Thanks for being part of one of our most memorable Christmases ever!

MY REVIEW: The very best in buffet's. Seafood of all types. Crab claws; Stuffed Crabs; Shrimp;Snapper; Flounder;M ahi-Mahi; Creamed seafood pastries, & many more. Also, soups; salads; fruits; vegetables & more. FABULOSO` desert tables. WOW! Also, their Sunday brunch buffet's is indescribable. All of the standards plus homemade Mexican dishes. Again, WOW! However, can I find faults from time to time? "Of COURSE I can!" If you are warm & friendly to the staff, they almost always return the jesture! Come on people, have fun. It's almost always your choice.

MY REVIEW: For at least 5 years now our group of 6 comes every Christmas and wholeheartedly enjoys the beautiful atmosphere and the buffet. We make such a commotion with our gift exchange the waitstaff knows us now. Last year I recommended BL to a society of which I am a member for our quarterly meeting. It was a great hit even with it being the day after the war broke out. We have a great speaker lined up for another meeting this year, and I'm really looking forward to it. BL is great for the meetings - beautiful, friendly, accomodating, and reasonable. The only small complaint my Christmas group has is that we miss the steamed crab that used to be on the buffet years ago. You brought it back, but it is not up to par and would be better left off. Brady's Landing is one of my very favorite special places.

MY REVIEW: The food was excellent. However, I will never go back and this is why. First of all there was just us and 2 other customers in the resaurant at 6:00pm on a sunday. It took them 20 minutes to take our order. My kids ordered the cheeseburger and mac & cheese. The waiter came back and said they didn't have either. Only chicken tenders. Then he suggested we buy the salad bar for $ 1.95 extra. When we got to the bar he said that we could only get salad and nothing else. After finishing our meal he told the kids that their meal came with a chocolate sunday. Both kids said they would like one. He came back and said they were out of chocolate. I asked the waiter why they were out of everything and he informed me that they never carry most of the items on the childrens menue. They need to take these items off if they don't have them. Food was good but didn't make up for the disappointments.

MY REVIEW: Great Food! The food was full of favor. My taste buds were happy Sunday. The Gumbo was awesome. Overall, the service is great. The service people were attentive and pleasant. The atmosphere is nice and casual. Great for my date and I. The price was very inexpensive. The view is the best in Houston. The only other place you are going to see a view of ships and tugs is in Galveston. If nothing else, you have to try their Sunday Brunch. Everything from boiled shrimp to cheese cake, I have never seen so much food in my life.

MY REVIEW: I thought the food was very good. The gumbo taste was excellent, but they had too much cayenne or hot sauce in it. Overall the place was very clean. The salad bar had a large selection for a small price to go with the entree. The waitstaff was very attentive and pleasant and I thought the prices were fair. Overall, it was a good experience. The steak I ordered was cooked as I asked and tasted scrumptious. I was a little puzzled that it was a Tuesday evening and there seemed to be so few customers. However, I would recommend trying them out.

MY REVIEW: Great atmosphere. Great gumbo soup, great fried shrimp (they used jumbo shrimp). Dessert was the typical pies and cakes, and were good. Now, the bad news - the mussle tasted bad. The crawfish had a chewy texture and tasted stale. Be sure to ask for a window view.

MY REVIEW: The service was lousy, the food was cold, we had to wait to get our eating utensils (the waiter was washing them in the bar area), and the process of getting our check and getting it paid took as long as did for us to eat (we left between 3:30 and 4:00). To make matters worse, we were accused of trying to leave without paying our tab (my daughter got tired of waiting for the waiter's return and took the check and the money directly to the woman who was collecting all of the tabs and money, When the waiter saw us leaveing, he was so afraid we were walking out the door without paying, and in front of other guest, he insisted that we had not paid and he needed the money before we could leave). The Houston Health Department should check this restaurant out again, because I saw several infractures that should be investigated.
