Tien Ren Vegetarian Restaurant (CLOSED)

MY REVIEW: The best Chinese buffet ever. I absolutely hate buffets but was very impressed. They prepare small portions and the food was always very hot and fresh. Great vegetable dumplings. Everything was very very tasty even the fried eggless rice. Service was pleasant. The soup lacked a little flavor but over all it was very delicious and I was satisfied. I recommend this to any vegan. The desserts were yummy too.

MY REVIEW: Well "everybody knows my name" might be a bit of a stretch ;), but I estimate I've been here over twenty times over the past years. Tien Ren used to be called wonderful and that definitely sums up how I feel about the place. I am not a vegan myself, but the food is great. It is quite true that if you go a few times you will be addicted to the food. Definitely a great place to go if you want a change from your typical diet. I recommend going while the buffet is open. This is from 11-ish to 3:30 on weekdays and all day weekends. Hopefully I will make it there later today!

MY REVIEW: I was seriously apprehensive about a vegetarian buffet, but this restaurant now ranks among my favorite places. All of the food was fresh and delicious, with a very serene atmosphere.
Highly recommended, even for meat and potatoes fans...

MY REVIEW: After reading the reviews here, I think I expected too much and was disappointed somewhat.
The ambiance was decent and the service was good. Food was okay in general. I liked 3 vegan dishes in the buffet (eggplant with vegan meat, sautéed tofu and cabbage with vegan beef). I found it difficult to finish fired rice and noodles. IMHO $10 for this buffet is bit high.

MY REVIEW: We had to try this place out after reading all the positive reviews here, we had never had vegan food before trying this place out, wife & I enjoyed the food immensely. We had their lunch buffet, which expands on the weekends. The way they make the soy & wheat taste like meat in several of the dishes impressed our tastebuds. The cookies that they sell at the register are outstanding, we bought a dozen on our way out. They should have a package deal on cookies like a dozen for $6 vs $1 per cookie.

MY REVIEW: The food is absolutey fabulous. I cannot think of anything about Tien Ren that isnt' wonderful. I love having a place where I can eat everything. Everything is labeled, so you dont go wondering about it. The buffet is very much recommended. Im not sure the adult price, but the student price is 8.61. If you havent been you should check it out. The staff is friendly but not creepy-friendly. The mood of the resturant is very nice. Always quiet, never crowded, and it's pretty, with interesting things on the walls to read. I recommend you try this place TODAY.

MY REVIEW: This is the greatest place to eat. Whether you are a vegetarian or not, it is absolutely wonderful! I bring all my friends there...even the ones who "don't like veggies" and they think that it is the best place to eat. My friend's little girl is a really picky eater and this little girl cleans her plate every time we go!

MY REVIEW: Everything was absolutely wonderful! A friend and I enjoyed the vegan buffet. He was very surprised at how delicious everything was (he's not vegetarian.) I on the other hand, being vegetarian, have finally found me a place to eat where I can eat EVERYTHING..and where EVERYTHING tastes so so so good. :)
Loved it. Loved it. Loved it! :)

MY REVIEW: I love this place. Dishes are so flavorful and delicious. Can't wait to go back to that buffet! Dumplings and pot stickers are sooooooo yummy!

MY REVIEW: Where to start? The buffet is out of this world. The fabulous Spicy Tofu Balls and the wonderful spinach and bean sprouts are not to be missed. Barbequed wheat gluten and potatoes, fresh brocolli and hot and sour soup (or kale or corn chowder) are just some of the dishes that I have enjoyed at Tien Ren. They had a carrot soup that is unbelievable. The green iced tea delish. The vegan desserts are heavenly.
Food is wonderful. On weekdays, dinner is from the menu, which limits the variety, but in no way diminishes the food.
The atmosphere adds as much to the experience as the food -- very soothing, relaxing. Very rarely crowded, it is a place to dine or FEEL that I have dined if I am limited on time.
Highly recommended -- if you haven't visited Tien Ren, you have missed a wonderful meal!

MY REVIEW: This place is incredible. I'm vegetarian and I loved it, but even my boyfriend, who is a very "meat-and-potatoes" type of guy, thought the food was amazing. We were skeptical when we saw all of the good reviews, but decided to try it out for ourselves.
The food was hot, fresh, and never in short supply. There was a great variety of dishes; nothing was repetitive, bland, or disappointing. Every dish I tried, I absolutely loved. Both of us agreed that our favorites were the veggie balls, veg dumplings with soy mince, fried sweet yams, and lechees.
Additionally, service was outstanding; our iced green-teas were never more than half empty and dirty buffet plates disappeared immediately. The buffet was also well priced, given the quality of the food and service, and students receive a $1 discount.
The only drawback to this restaurant is that most of the individual items seem quite pricey if purchased when buffet is not available. As a result, I think I would only eat here during buffet times (lunch on weekdays and all day Sat. & Sun.).

MY REVIEW: Only been twice, but I will be going back MANY more times! I have been a vegetarian my whole life, but this is some of the best vegetarian food I have EVER eaten! NONE of it is from a can (okay, maybe the Lychee in the dessert buffet!), all is from the very best ingredients, very fresh, GREAT seasonings... you don't feel like you are eating grass! More expensive than your normal Chinese buffet, but this is definitely my favorite restaurant! They also have the NAMES of each dish above it (I hate going to a buffet and wondering what that stuff is...!) And the wait staff is great without being overfriendly or ignoring you!

MY REVIEW: Tien Ren is a wonderful place. The food is absolutely delicious, very high quality. Very peaceful place to be as well. The waitstaff is very pleasant. It's a bit on the expensive side, but I'll definitely be back

MY REVIEW: The place is peaceful and clean, and the food is unbelievably delicious. The variety of textures and flavors are very satisfying. Try the buffet first, but be sure to return and order the 'Most Popular Item' from the menu.

MY REVIEW: This restaurant is so peaceful and serene. The quality of the food shows true concern. I always feel nurtured in body and soul. The basil beancurd is delicate and subtle. The black bean fillets are impressive. Baked goods are better than I expected, and not too sweet. I could spend a lot more time here!

MY REVIEW: Their food is great, even on the buffet. This is by far my favorite vegetarian restaurant -- the food is really high quality, and just plain tastes healthy. I just wish they had a location in the Montrose area.
