MY REVIEW: As the kids say while texting, "OMG" What an incredibly wonderful meal in an incredible beautiful place! Goat cheese salad, perfect fish...extraordinary wine pairing, and a marvelous mousse. I tried not to waddle out...pas tres elegante!
I have eaten great French food in the US and in France....this rates right at the top, and the service was impeccable. Incroyable! I will be back.

MY REVIEW: Our dinner at La Colombe d' Or is one of the outstanding experiences and memories from our first trip to Houston. We both enjoyed the best Lobster bisque imaginable on the planet, as well as other delicious treats. The wine was very well chosen and the service was accomodating, outstanding and attentive. We highly recommend and hope to visit this beautiful gem of a restaurant again in the future.

MY REVIEW: It's been a couple of years since I've been to the Columbe D'Or. We went to the restaurant a week ago and the quality and service remain the same, excellent. Crab bisque was perfect. Steaks were tender.
Desserts, though, left a little to be desired. Creme brulee was burned, apple tart was cold and pastry was not flaky. Don't let the desserts scare you away though. The restaurant is beautiful and well worth it.

MY REVIEW: Wow! What an amazing experience!
I took a first date here and she was very impressed with the quality of the food as well as the prompt and courteous service. This is, undoubtedly, one of the most romantic restaurants in Houston, if not THE most. She told me that it was one of the top proposal spots in Houston... and for good reason.
We had the Chateaubriand, which was tender, juicy, and sweetly flavorful, though not adorned by much in the way of side dishes(a few grilled vegetables). For appetizers... she had French Onion soup and loved it, and I had something with lobster, I think. Regardless, though the food clearly wasn't the only thing on my mind, I had a wonderful experience and not only would, but WILL go back here for any special occasions/dates that might come up in the future!
Impress her at La Columbe d'Or, but expect to fork over at least a Benjamin!

MY REVIEW: This restaurant is really changing the way they do business. I was very surprised of the attention to detail they paid to my dinner party, the food as usual was far better than it has ever been. The service was on top of their game and the way all the cars were waiting at the end of dinner for their owner was awesome. I definetely recommend this place now.

MY REVIEW: This restaurant is one of Houston's finest gems. The food is ALWAYS excellent. The staff is always attentive to the smallest detail. Finally the desserts always end the meal with a bang.

MY REVIEW: I dine here frequently for lunch and love the food. The service is very friendly and non-intrusive. Crisp white linens on the tables. You can get in and out in under an hour for lunch but if you want to linger a while they never rush your dining experience. Food has always been excellent in taste, temperature and presentation. If you're looking for cheap fast-food this is not the place for you but if you're looking for a quiet upscale relaxing dining experience then I'd highly recommend it.

MY REVIEW: Great food, worth the price. The atmosphere was severely lacking. We had the Chateau Briande (sp) which was fabulous. The poached pear dessert was fabulous. Not many people dining the night we were there. I think it would be a great place for a romantic weekend getaway, but the dinner atmosphere was not excellent. Food was great and IMHO that's the absolute most important aspect of a meal. 8 out of 10 for french food.
