MY REVIEW: I can't say enough bad things about this location. The place is dirty - walls, seats, tables, carpet. Paint chips off railings and moulding...a real turn off. The seats are so broken down you just about sit on springs. If the place is this dirty where customers sit, what must the kitchen be like...I shutter to think. Staff are friendly but inattentive, too much socializing, not much knowledge if asked a question. Service was very slow and all I ordered was a salad! Management where are you? Do you ever inspect the place?

MY REVIEW: I think this is the right location. I went to the Bennigan's next to the AMC 30 theatre today, and though our waitress was nice, my experience was terrible. They were out of Morning Star so my veggie burger options were out, and they didn't tell me until about ten-fifteen minutes after we'd put our orders in. Well, I didn't make a big deal about it and ordered the soup and salad combo instead. All of the soup had meat in it, but our waitress told me that the French Onion soup only had beef broth with no actual meat, so I took it, seeing as it was my best bet. Well, when we got our food, my salad tasted like it'd been sitting out, my bread was terribly stale, and my soup had beef chunks all in it. They were shredded too, so it was impossible to pick them out. Well, I told the waitress I couldn't eat it, and didn't bother complaining about the salad. She took the soup off, and took the salad away. My sibs seemed to enjoy their food just fine, but I will say, never again will I eat at that particular Bennigan's.

MY REVIEW: This review points out one of the flaws of this website. I have to leave a mixed review of different locations in one post. The one noted is the best location in NW Houston IMO. Willowbrook location has staff problems. They dont seem to care. 290 Location is pretty good, no complaints. All three are consistent with food. The burgers are great!!

MY REVIEW: VERY POOR service. I ordered a meal at the bar, having to yell it across the bar out since it's too much touble to write down my order before tapping it into the computer. Finally when my order arrived, no silverware, am i supposed to eat with hands? After finally getting silverware to go with meal ..they were rude when I asked for salt, etc...they actually said they dont like people to eat at the bar "becacuse it takes up too much space" !!! I left without another word, a bite, or paying them a cent. NEVER to to this place again!!

MY REVIEW: Poor service, order was wrong, too many young waiters more interested in their social life than waiting on customers.

MY REVIEW: In the past, I have enjoyed dining at Bennigan's. It's one of those restaurants that I put in the same category as someplace like Chili's, where I consider it to be affordable, casual dining. I don't have high expectations for establishments like this just to keep my drink replenished, hot food and adequate service.
Yesterday I visited the Bennigans located in the Galleria and service was not accepatable. The hostess was very nice and allowed me to be seated while I waited for the guest I was dining with. Once my guest arrived, the table that we were seated at was a little cramped so the waitress offered to move us to a table with more room. We thanked her and moved to a larger booth where she promised to be there in a moment to take our order. So far so good. We moved booths but no one ever came to our table. We just sat there, eventually another waitress (not our oringinal waitress) came by and asked us what we wanted to drink and I ordered an appetizer (which I was barely able to order because she walked away so quickly after hearing what we wanted to drink). The drinks nor the appetizer ever surfaced. Time elapsed, and the hostess passed by and noticed that we had no service and bought us drinks. We sat longer. No one came by our table. Me and my guest looked at each other and then our watches and felt that it was time for us to leave and spend our money somewhere else. That was awful. We were seated in the restaurant for probably a total of 25 minutes with no service. It was a Wednesday evening around 9pm and the restaurant was not crowded or busy. I would be very apprehensive to visit this bennigan's location any time soon.

MY REVIEW: A colleague of mine and I decided to take a fast lunch near my office (290 and 34th). As anyone who is familiar with this part of town, the restaurant selection is limited. We decided on Bennigan's.
As noted by earlier posts, the whole place smelled like smoke. Once we were seated, it took approximately 10 minutes for our waiter to greet us and take our drink order. She then diasappeared again for a long time before we could place our lunch order.
Once the order was placed, it took approximately 20-25 minutes to prepare. When the food arrived, my friend's order was incorrect. More time, then it was made right.
The bill was finally brought to us, and again we waited a good ten minutes until the waitress took the credit card.
Food was only ok, as one might expect from this kind of place. The service was terrible. The waitress got a modest tip. My friend and I are both very tip oriented, and she would have received a much greater tip had she just paid attention to our needs.
So much for a fast lunch...If you are in a hurry, go somewhere else!

MY REVIEW: I know I know Bennigans is the most tired restaurant out there and all the locations suck equally - except one and that is the I-10 East Bennigans. I've eaten there several times and have had great service and great food on each occasion. I don't know why this location is so much better but it is. Friendly staff, clean restrooms and good food - I'll be back

MY REVIEW: We stopped in with the in-laws for lunch on a Saturday. A small family walked in in front of us and told the host that there were more coming and they needed seating for 15. The host completely ignored us, even though we stood off to the side away from the other family and went about to pull tables together for this large group. After several minutes of standing there, we gave up and left for another restaurant. The place also smelled musty. I've given up on eating at Bennigan's again in Houston as we have had poor service at every one we've been to, EXCEPT for the T&C location that was tore down for the Katy expansion.

MY REVIEW: I really like the Kilkenny Chicken salad and was craving one really bad so we decided to go to the Galleria location for dinner. They asked us if we had a preference for smoking or non-smoking, but I said "the whole place smells like smoke, where is your non-smoking section?". The host said "this IS the non-smoking section". Well, the problem lies in the fact that the rather large bar area takes up the entire center of the restaurant and they still allow smoking in that section? Of course, smoke does not stay contained in that area of the restaurant. So we decided to sit out on the porch (or whatever you call it) to eat and watch the ice skaters skating in the rink. Our waitress was very sloppy in appearance and rather coarse in the way she spoke to us. We decided we will just order our drinks and our salads and minimize the amount of interaction with the waitress. The salads were good, they got the order right (no bacon thank you), but it took about 30 minutes to make 2 salads. What in the world takes that long to make a chicken-strip salad? The food was good, service left something to be desired, and I am not satisfied with the fact that I didn't have many options of places to sit since I didn't want to expose my 8 week old fetus to cigarette smoke.

MY REVIEW: Because the Kilkenny Chicken Salad is so good (and it is so close to my house), I continue to subject myself to the horrible service at this location. The host/hostess greeting you at the door is usually disinterested in having you there at all--she was actually talking on her cell phone tonight!
While the waiter was friendly and spoke to directly to my 8-year old grandson, he took our drink and appetizer order and disappeared until he delivered it. Not so much as a glass of water for nearly 10 minutes.
It has been years since I have had a real complaint about the food. It is not fantastic, but is what I expect from such an establishment. I don't go there to be wowed. Though, I must say, the French Onion soup could be used as a salt lick.
I would love to say that I'll never be back, but time will pass and I will forgive past transgressions...and I am sure that the service will again be deplorable.

MY REVIEW: This Bennigan's (as are most) is built around an open bar area. A coupon drew us in to the restaurant, where we were immediately greeted with "Smoking or Non?" I pointed out that all restaurants in Houston are now non-smoking but the answer was that smoking was still legally allowed in the bar. We were seated and the food was good. But, although I never smelled any smoke from the bar, the entire restaurant smelled stale and dirty. I won't return.

MY REVIEW: So this is the first review anyone's posted to Bennigan's since my last one 8 months ago (maybe no one goes there anymore). We came in and immediately noticed the signs for the "NEW" Bennigan's - well sadly its the same cheap/stingy place we visited last December. Five of us visited and each got one of the specialty burgers. These burgers come advertised with cheese, bacon, special sauce, etc - as well as lettce, pickles, tomato, and red onion. They do warn you on the menu that you must ask for mayo and mustard.
Why in the world is Bennigan's so stingy with tomato and onion?? I kid you not each burger came with a SINGLE ring from a thin onion slice; two of which was only an inch wide! Each also got a single very small tomato slice. These are 1/2 pound burgers on large buns; GARNISHED with a tiny bite of tomato and onion. Also we did ask for mayo and mustard - the bugers arrived with a drop of each spread over an inch or so of the bun (thats as far as the miniscule amount of the condiment could be spread!).
So we asked for more tomato, onion, mayo, and mustard. They brought out two small plates of lettuce, tomato (four more small slices for our 5 burgers), four more individual rings from a slice of onion, and about a tablespoon of mayo (no more mustard was brought). The total amount of tomato, onion, and mayo brought to the table in two trips was not enough to cover the meat and buns of the five burgers ordered.
And on a final note the restaurant was freezing inside; the gentleman at the table next to us went out to his car and got sweaters for his wife and daughter (we don't keep sweaters in our car when its 97 degrees outside - silly me). I said above, based on the review frequency, no one must be going to Bennigan's anymore - I can certanly see why! I know we will not be back!!

MY REVIEW: The food was reliably good (not excellent - good), as usual - however we had an unusul experience in them being very skimpy on the condiments. The John Bacon Burger came with a single quarter size tomato and no mustard! What's up with that? Also our Buffalo Chicken Sandwich came with a single half dollar size tomato and only two individual rings of onion (not two slices, two individual rings from a slice) and NO bleu cheese spread. Again what's up with that? To their credit they brought out more tomato, mustard, and spread - but why did we have to ask?
There seems to be a growing chintziness (not just Bennigan's) where restuarants skimp on condimates. Why advertise onion and tomato and then deliver only decorative garnish size portions?? They must have spread a single slice of onion over 6-7 burgers/sandwiches!
Finally the tempertaure was good inside (I wish to start a trend where we complain about restauarnts that are too cold inside!); however the entire place smelled like cigar smoke (and were seated as far away from the smoking section as possible.

MY REVIEW: This has got to be my favorite place to eat when I have time to actually sit down and enjoy the food as well as the atmosphere. This place is great! The waitstaff is always up-beat and very helpful and the food is always hot and delicious. If I had the time I would eat there every night of the week. My favorite item is the Best Sampler.... just the right amount of potato skins, wings, and cheese sticks to get ya going. (of course then you have to take half of your meal home with you because you are too full to finish all the good food, but just think... lunch tomorrow!!)

MY REVIEW: Nice atmosphere but not impressed with much on the menu. The soups are good. I ordered a hamburger 3-4 times and never got it cooked like I asked (either undercooked or overcooked -- one time it was even burnt). Nice waiters. Prices could be a bit lower for lunchtime.

MY REVIEW: Absolutely bar none, the WORST restaurant I have ever been to. The food was mediocre, the prices were high, and the service was so bad that I will NEVER eat there again. I had to send my order back 3 times for them to get a burger without mayonaise. That is simply unacceptable. The manager didn't seem to care either. I won't be going back.

MY REVIEW: The food & service is, as always, great. I ordered online for carryout from this location. Order was ready when I got there. They even offer delivery to 77010 zip code. The Irish flair is always a plus! Great place to go for happy hours after work to wait out the traffic jams.
