MY REVIEW: This location, Ninfa's on Post Oak, is the only Ninfa's location I will always recommend. The food is always good and hot, and the drinks, even the happy hour margaritas, are excellent. In fact, my husband and I go here specifically FOR their wonderful margaritas. This is THE BEST Ninfa's- so if you want an enjoyable experience, drive to this one on Post Oak and you won't be disappointed.

MY REVIEW: Went there before a Rockets game on Friday night and the place wasn't crowded and there were several empty tables with dirty dishes. The food we ordered, queso, tacos, etc. was cold and the beer was warm. Obviously a poorly managed place, I won't return.

MY REVIEW: Food is always great. Sauces are to die for - I usually eat 2 of the red sauces with chips by myself. Service is second to none - have yet to have my glass go empty or flag down a waiter/waitress. I highly reccomend this restaurant. I have yet to be disappointed by the service and the food is so good that I would actually choose this restaurant over any other cuisine type, including high end steak houses. If I had to give a negative, it would be that the food comes out so quick that I rarely have enough time to enjoy the chips & salsa. This is my favorite restaurant and well worth the visit. I recomend the El Barrio or El Edie.

MY REVIEW: This has to have been one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in recent history. The first clue should have been that the place was practically empty when we walked in (Saturday evening, 7:30-ish). The waiter was slow, and when he finally brought our food out, both my order and my friend's order were wrong. In addition, the food was not good. We found out that this is not a company-owned Ninfa's restaurant, but rather one of the franchise locations. Ninfa's lovers, beware! This is not the Ninfa's you know and love. Avoid this place if possible!

MY REVIEW: I love this restaurant. The food is superb and the service excellence. The food is always blazing hot, and unlike many restaurants they actually wait until you're almost done with the appetizer before starting the main course, which is why it always arrives blazing hot. Everything I've tried has been tasty - of course, the Tacos al carbon are to die for, but even El Dannie (three beef crunchy tacos) are worth recommending.

MY REVIEW: One of my favorite Mexican places to go. Definitely recommend it.

Used to have a great view, although they have torn down the park and are now build a high rise there. :`(

The Beef here is usually tender with great flavor. However, I agree with the comments of Frenchy and Texas Indian in 2005 that sometimes they miss the mark and it beef doesn't taste so good. Only had this happen twice in the many years I have gone here.

Totilla chips are the best here I've had and as good as momma makes. Very thin, hot, free. Salsa is not that good though.

Portions are good. I have narrowed it down and usually go for the fajitas. Girlfriend loves the stuffed potato, and beans.

Wait staff is friendly and attentive. Maybe a bit less so when the place is full but still decent.

MY REVIEW: I walked up and was not greeted, acknowledged, nothing for five minutes. Only when I walked away did someone from the kitchen run out and say 'come here ... come here'. I was not told 'We're sorry' or 'our apologies'. I am not happy with Ninfa's right now.

MY REVIEW: I've suddenly realized that while I'm a very good cook, my wife and I eat out A LOT! We had dinner here on Thursday, January 4th. I still don't know why they moved to this location from the next strip center over as this one is smaller. The food was fine. I had the Tejas (mixed) Combo and my wife had the El Eddie (chicken). Food was quick despite being late in the evening. It tasted fine, too. Ninfa's has a pretty consistent product that I've always enjoyed, and there were no surprises at all. Our mistake was ordering drinks. We both had margaritas, and both had them frozen. Well, I don't remember ordering the large Ninfarita, but that's what we were charged for. Neither the waiter nor manager seemed willing to change the charge. Second, it wasn't very large, maybe 8 ounces... I've had big mugs of margarita at a competitor just down the highway for less. Third, they weren't kidding about being frozen. One sip and it was instant Slurpee headache. Some people like that, but I really don't. Next time I'll be more specific, and order one on the rocks.

5423 Bellaire Blvd, Bellaire, Texas 77401  713.432.0003

MY REVIEW: In general, Ninfa's has long been one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. Ninfa's has always had a unique taste relative to other Tex-Mex places, often making it worth the higher prices. I've been to countless locations, and this one, though closest to me, is my least favorite. Case in point, my wife & I ate there on a gift card today. We started off with 2 flavored margaritas. Each came in a tiny 7-8 oz glass, was bitter and too sour, and a whopping $6.75, at happy hour. We could have gotten a better margarita anywhere else in Bellaire for half the price. We were almost done with these drinks before we realized our waitress still hadn't come to take our order. When I got up and tracked her down, she was talking to a friend who was seated in the bar. The manager had just entered the floor when he noticed this, and appeared to reprimand her non-verbally. I ordered the La Zona Rosa Burrito ($8), my personal favorite, and my wife ordered the Avocado salad ($8). Instead of dressing, my wife asked for more of the green sauce that came w/ the greasy chips. The food did not taste as fresh as the Navigation location, but was still fine. My wife and I later agreed that are son should have some of the salad w/ his to go order and ordered a side of ranch to go with the leftovers. The deal breaker came when I noticed the waitress had charged me $1 for a special order that when ased, she said was the salad dressing. I said "wait a minute, the salad normally comes w/ dressing," so she agreed to take it off. She obviously wanted to build up her check, since there was only one other customer in the restaurant. She dropped off the revised check and disappeared until I tracked her down again. I charged her $1 when I filled in the tip on my charge slip, a typical dinner at the Bellaire Ninfa's.

MY REVIEW: The waiter (Fernando - table p3) was not attentive and did not get the order right. After he was notified, he still took a long time to deliver the right order. I did not enjoy my lunch today. I know that it is rude not to leave a tip but that's how disappointed I was. (CK #172)

MY REVIEW: Oh my goodness ... this restaurant is the bomb!! I loved everything about it!! The ambiance, the music, the waitstaff ... and the food was incredible. My husband and I ordered the fajita platter combo (beef & chicken) and we absolutely loved it! I also loved the frozen marjarita ... it was one the best I've ever had. We will most definitely vist this restaurant many more times!

MY REVIEW: I am shocked this place reccently closed. They have closed ironically AFTER swearing to people they were NOT closing the resturant--but merely moving next door and remodeling.

Sure, they had patches where the food was just 'okay' but Ninfas is a Houston area institution. I loved their chicken enchiladas and fajitas regardless. Don't they realize being a famous local institution counts for something!

Don't go to all the trouble of telling the public that your money-making business will remain open if you will then leave anyways. Just be honest with your patrons or you won't have any.

MY REVIEW: I take my family (mother of 3)to many Mexican restauarants and I was pleasantly surprised with this Ninfa's location. The food and service were excellent. We especially liked the green sauce and tortillas. As usual , we ordered fajitas and found all ingredients to be very fresh. Excellent service and cleanliness-we will be back!!

MY REVIEW: Something has changed and gone very wrong. My husband and I used to love this place for Mexican food and we eat out a lot. We would eat here almost every week just for the fajitas. Not anymore, my favorite green sauce has changed among other things on the menu. The food just not taste the same. Now we are left with no more Ninfas.

MY REVIEW: This joint is probably one of the smaller Ninfa's compared to the others in town and love the small cafe setting in the Kingwood area. Sure, everyone knows our name due to the hospitable wait staff employed and the number of visits we dine here. Our recent experience was a not a favorable one. We have noticed a drop of quality and the number of patrons (low) at any given day and time is evident we are not the only ones affected. When we were seated, the table was not properly cleaned, soiling my shirt sleeves with the previous cannibals. It took almost twenty minutes before water was served. Sure the chips were served 10 mintes before but try swallowing hot salsa and salty chips on a dry throat. The Thursday night special was served cold so I can only assume our food had been sitting somewhere before we got it. Considering we could count the number of diners on two hands! What once used to be excellent, well, so-so now and we're looking at other places in the area.

MY REVIEW: I was pretty satsfied with both the service and the food at this location. Because I have 4 kids and respect for those who do not, I take my family out to eat before 5 p.m. We went to Ninfa's on a Tuesday. They had a special that on fajitas for 2, and 99 cent kids meals. Since we were there early, we seemed to have our own dedicated wait staff, and the service was great. The food came quickly and was well-prepared and presented nicely. The freshly-made tortillas were a few minutes late to the table, but were worth the wait. The fajitas were tender and all the sides (rice, beans, pico de gallo) were fresh. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I will visit again.

MY REVIEW: The food is decent at this location, but nothing special. It is half-way inbetween Tex-Mex and Authentic Mex, albeit slightly closer to Tex-Mex. My good friends claim that Navigation is much better, and we are going to try that this weekend. For a similar restaurant in the Clear Lake area, Don P*ico's has much fresher food, better Margaritas and is slightly cheaper. On the service, I never complain about slow service when I go out to eat on Friday or Saturday night, it is expected to be slow. On Wednesday night, the service was good.

MY REVIEW: They have great margaritas! Saturday night is .99 cent margaritas. The food is always great and the waitstaff is better. I've never had a problem with anything here. We're always seated at the same table and always have the same waiter and he always knows we start off with margaritas. I think the margaritas are to blame for me not knowing the waiters name. :)

MY REVIEW: Nice menu selection. The food here is way overrated though. Prices are about average. Beware of the rickety flea-market style chairs they make you sit in. My 4 year old was sitting on his knees in the chair, gently leaned back and the chair tipped over backwards.

MY REVIEW: This is an AWESOME mexican restaraunt. My usual mexican restaraunt is Escalan*te's, but Ninfa's is a lot closer to where I live, so I go there often. On Monday, for lunch I had the chef's lunch special which was 1 queso puff, 1 cheese enchilada, and 1 crispy beef taco. All for 6.99! It was an EXCELLENT deal, and I had so much food! They're service is great, they are very quick with swapping out chip baskets, which I like a lot. And, their pina coladas come in a HUGE glass!

Also, they deliver! I don't think I know of any other mexican restaraunt that delivers. They have their "Fajita Packs" for 1,2,3,4,5,6.... I usually get the Fajita Pack for 2 and I get about 15-20 tortillas, a HUGE bag of chips, HUGE dishes of queso, rice, beans, and quacamole. And, small dishes of salsa, green sauce, sour cream, and pico de gaillo. The pico is always fresh, and once I burned my hand from grabbing the tortillas they were so hot! You also get a HUGE dish of meat, which is always excellent. And sometimes i'll order a soapapilla with that, and they are HUGE soapapillas that are GREAT for only 99 cents!

Over all, I'd give it 5 stars!

MY REVIEW: Well, if someone in upper management/ownership at Ninfa's doesn't do something about the awful service, no one will go here. As it is, it is never busy (remember waiting in line for Ninfa's in the 80's?, even 90's??) Each time we go, service is worse and worse. This time, it took an hour to get our food (we were one of 3 tables in the restaurant, perhaps the cook was at lunch at Papas*to's!?) No manager in sight, no apology from the waiter until we started to complain, and then didn't get any of the sides we had ordered, a pathetic waiter and uncaring management. Not the first time we have had problems, but the worst so far, and we will not be back this time - there are way too many better Mexican restaurants in Clear Lake. Bye Ninfa's..........

MY REVIEW: We had our rehearsal dinner at this restaurant and I have to say it exceeded our expectations. We went to dinner here before and while it was not awful it was not amazing either. When the rehearsal dinner site we originally planned did not work out we booked their banquet space with great results. We had the fajita bar and several guests were complimentary of quality of the meat and the great beans and margaritas. The price was very reasonable for the amount of good food we received. I've also been to a party at a house were Ninfa's catered and it was similarly good. Great for parties!
