MY REVIEW: This is the best hamburger I've ever eaten. I always bring friends here when they visit and they agree. I do wish they served onion rings though! But, I go for the incredible burgers.

MY REVIEW: I Love This Place!! I realize that once in a while, even the best of restaurants have a bad day or one-time bad menu item. Everytime I've gone to Beck's Prime, I've had the best burger ever. Always juicy and very flavorful. It's pricey, no doubt, but it's worth the price. So, if you've only eaten there once and had a bad meal, give it another try...you won't be disappointed.

MY REVIEW: Been to the Dairy Ashford location and Woodlands location. Both were consistent and the food was good. It just is not worth the extremely high prices for the food. I don't mind paying for good food. I just don't think it is worth the price for the food in this case. As someone else mentioned, it might be fine for the upscale types that don't mind the price.

MY REVIEW: I'm addicted to Becks Prime. SERIOUSLY, I CAN'T STOP EATING AT BECKS. When I'm feeling like I need to watch my waistline I love the chicken and veggies or chicken sandwich. When I want to splurge I go for the hickory cheeseburger. Everything made from scratch in the back - are you kidding, nobody else does that in the fast food industry. Becks has friendly employees and great outdoor decks. People think it's expensive, but the truth is you get what you pay for . . . Becks is the best VALUE in town. Try a Becks Steak Dinner, and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.

MY REVIEW: Way too expensive - I paid $17.45 for a meal for one. Supposedly they use only the freshest ingredients, but $9.45 for a chicken alpine sandwich? I thought maybe it was going to be something exceptional, but it wasn't. I guess for the upscale types who live in the area, the difference between spending $7 and $17 isn't much, but I'm not the upscale type, at least when it comes to a restaurant with a counter.
There used to be a restaurant in the Montrose called Hamburgers by G*ourmet - it was great, better than usual quality, but even adjusted for inflation, I don't think their prices were this jacked-up.
Fries were nothing special. Ice cream shake was good, obviously made with real ice cream.
But that $17.45 tab - ouch.

MY REVIEW: Never ever again. I keep getting tricked into going back to this restaurant by people who have "heard good things" or liked it in the past. Well, I've been three times, and every time the food has been terrible.
I went this week with my sister, had a friend who said that it was good, and we went despite my objections. I ordered a cheesburger rare and my sister ordered a medium well hamburger with fries. The food came and the fries were greasy and cold, my cheeseburger was medium well, and her hamburger was well done and very dry. I was irritated that my cheeseburger was medium well and as tasteless as the two other times I'd tried it, but ate it anyway, as we were in a hurry and didn't have time to wait for another sandwich each. Additionally, I'm not sure if the buns are always that dry, but they've been stale every time I've been there.
The restaurant is definitely overpriced. I have no problem paying more for good food- in fact, I expect it; but there are a lot of burger places in the area that cost less and deliver a higher quality product.
I'm not sure who Beck's Prime is named after, but if my THREE visits are an accurate representation of the quality of their food, I'd want my name off the signs.

MY REVIEW: My company ordered lunch from here for our meeting/conference call today. It was our first time ordering from here. I ordered a well-done burger.
Meeting starts, our food arrives, and I take the first bite of my burger, only to find that the inside is bright red! UGH! It was not well-done by any stretch of the imagination; in fact, I think the cow was still alive! I had to run out in the middle of the call and zap that thing in the microwave until it stopped bleeding.
I understand mistakes happen, but geez! The receipt said "Well" on it, plain as day! I will certainly advise against ordering take-out from this location again if someone here suggests it. Messing up corporate orders can - and will - lose business customers.

MY REVIEW: I am a huge fan of Becks Prime's burgers, fries and shakes. I eat at the downtown location about once a week on my lunch break. I like that they cut their own meat so I can order my burger as rare as I like it. I love their fries (I've never had any others cooked the way they cook theirs) and my guilty pleasure is the jamocha shake. I tried their new Mediteranean salad one day & was very impressed- the dressing was great and I loved the capers and plentiful feta cheese. Their regular salad was a simple iceberg salad and included few toppings. The other reviewers commented on their price, which is higher than the competition, but I feel it is worth the few extra bucks.

MY REVIEW: I hadn't been to a Becks Prime for years and went the other day talking several people into going. For $8.00 I had the worst burger ever. It was a barbeque burger with bacon but was only a bun with an overcooked dry meat paddy. I would have been disappointed if it was half the price. The fries weren't much better. I have no idea why people flock in there.

MY REVIEW: I eat at a Becks Prime location about twice a week. I am partial to the burgers and dogs, and find it difficult to pass up the fries, queso, salads and shakes/malts. When I want to "diet" I order a steak and the new Queen of Hearts salad a la carte. The staff couldn't be nicer or more polite.

MY REVIEW: I am surprised at the wonderful reviews because I have only eaten there once and once was enough. My burger was so dry I couldn't enjoy it. And the price I paid! Forget it! I think any place is better, but when I want an expensive - great burger, I'll just stick with F*ddruckers on Hwy 6 close to Hwy 529.

MY REVIEW: Becks Prime serves high quality gourmet burgers at gourmet prices. The burgers are well worth the splurge. The fries are also incredible. But don't bother with a salad at a burger joint, the salads are uninspired. The friendliness of the staff elevates the experience above the level of other fast food chains.

MY REVIEW: This is the Best Burger in town! All the people claiming it is to expensive and that they find just as good for cheaper are full of it. These guys grind there meat fresh every morning! It doesn’t matter if your food is prepared fresh if the ingredients used are frozen or from cans. That is definitely not the case at Becks Prime. Worth every penny I say.

MY REVIEW: I have to say to Sonny Ray, it's the 21st century, and you're not in the country anymore. If you want quality food today, you're going to have to excpect to pay for it. I like Beck's because I know I'll always get good fresh food and lots of it. Also, because they have more then just burgers, it's a place everyone in my family likes. The last time I went in I noticed they had added items to the menu. I tried the fajitas and really liked them. I also, like their grilled vegetables. I don't get the shakes too often - too many calories for me - but my kids love them. I don't go there because it's cool, or to be in...it's just a neighborhood place that we like, and really enjoy when the weather allows us to enjoy the nice deck outside. Keep up the good work Beck's!

MY REVIEW: I have been a regular patron of Becks Prime for years.
You have to be pleased with a hometown concept that the Houston Press called the Best Chain Burger in America. The T.K.O. burger is my personal favorite with the Swordfish sandwich a very close 2nd.
If all you want is a cheap meal it can be found, but then you have to eat it. Quality comes at a premium. By way of comparison based on a 4% annual inflation rate; Sonny's 1966 Becks burger would have cost $1.00.
Love to eat under the trees at Augusta. If you work Downtown, the Tunnel location is busy and you might have to wait for a table- but it's worth it.

MY REVIEW: If I wanted to take out a loan it wouldn't be for eating one pretentious hamburger. I grew up in a country town where the average mom and pop cafe served better burgers at MUCH lesser price. I've lived in Houston since 1966 and never cease to be amazed at what people will swallow because someone told them it was "in" to do so. There are much better and cheaper spots in this town of thousands of places to eat. Save your money for gasoline!

MY REVIEW: Yes, they are pricey, but the burgers they offer are on par with C*hilis, and I like the outdoor seating at the Sugar Land location, when the weather's nice and there's a breeze out. I've tried the regular burger, the superveggie burger, and the swordfish burger and the chicken sandwich. All of them were good, but not spectacular. The superveggie burger and the chicken sandwich were probably the best, for me at least. The superveggie has yummy avocado on it. The fries are probably their best selling point--generous portions and very delicious. I usually have a bottled beer or two with each meal, and they offer frosted mugs, which are a nice touch. The wait is usually less than C*hilis, but I think that, although they are close, the C*hilis' bigmouth burger has these burgers beaten by a slight margin. It's mostly the outdoor seating, cold beer, and nice atmosphere that keeps me coming back. I did get irritated with one of their waitstaff once...I went to go get a 2nd beer to finish up my basket of fries with, and when I got back to my table the overzealous waitperson had cleaned up my table already; I caught him a few feet away from my table and protested loudly that I wasn't done with my fries yet. Instead of just giving me my fries back (which he was carrying with him still), he went back to the kitchen and made up a fresh basket for me at no charge. To some, this might sound like a nice thing to do, but it just irritated me further, as I did not want to eat THAT many fries, I just wanted to finish what I had left and leave. I wanted my old, cold fries back, darn it. I ate my fill of the fresh replacements, along with my last shiner, and left the rest of the fries. Also, sometimes the place gets busy and I have to wait until the line goes down before I can go back to order a second beverage...usually necessary given the copious fries they give you. Seems to be a family friendly place, though for me personally I like it when I'm there and there are NO kids, but that's just me.

MY REVIEW: The view is great, people watching is fun, however, the food is just good, not great. The prices are way, way too high for a hamburger place. I can go to several restaurants and get waited on for the same kind and amount of food/alcohol. Maybe because the people playing golf have no choice if they are hungry. Next time we'll go somewhere else close to the Heights.

MY REVIEW: We came here the first time on New Year's Eve and were delighted. The prices are high, but the portions are large and soooooo yummy. They are not kidding about the food being fresh and made to order. They are consistant in their cooking the burgers to your requested doneness (for us it's medium rare). Thier burgers also have a great smokey grilled taste. The meat is top quality and the fries are great.
Your best value is the Sandwich Basket addition to your burger or sandwich, which comes with a small portion of fries.
Their shakes are great, we occasionally get a postcard for a free shake with meal....definately worth a shot. They are very thick and rich, a meal in itself.
The staff is also very friendly and have always given us great service.
