MY REVIEW: We enjoyed our second visit to Paul's. If you like fried seafood, that seems to be what this place does best. I really enjoyed the fried shrimp platter, and my husband liked their crawfish. They know how to fry things without their being greasy. I also liked the cole slaw as a side, and my husband said his green beans with bacon were good. The service was very good and friendly, much better than the last time we went. If you stay late enough, they have karaoke in the evenings. Surprisingly there was a nice breeze blowing when we went, so we took advantage of it and enjoyed sitting outside. We'll definitely go back if we're in the area.

MY REVIEW: I had the seafood platter #2. The shrimp and fish were both good. Husband had the shrimp po-boy which he said was also good. A bit pricey for the amount of food on the plates, but still worth it once in awhile. Only thing needing attention was the ladies room. They apparently have a bit of a mold problem in there. The service was good and the waitress has a good sense of humor. We will eat there again.

MY REVIEW: We've driven by the restaurant a few times and thought it looked like a place with some character, so we decided to stop in for dinner. The atmosphere reminded me of something straight out of Galveston and has a certain divey charm to it. The weather was nice, so we decided to eat out on the patio. Ordered some beer and waters and got some menus. The service was a little haphazard. I had ordered a beer and a glass of ice water, but when the waitress brought the drinks, she forgot my water. When I mentioned it, she was happy to bring it out.

I ordered a shrimp platter, and my husband ordered the snapper. The shrimp platter was a mixed bag - the fried shrimp were pretty good and not at all greasy, the jalapeno and stuffed shrimp were good and flavorful as well. The grilled shrimp and cajun shrimp were cold and pretty bland. Hard to tell the difference between the two, and no grill marks to be seen - they were also very small. My husband asked me if they were cold, boiled shrimp. To me, it seems that fried is definitely the way to go at this place. My husband liked his snapper, and he shared his onion rings with me, and they were pretty tasty as well.

Our water glasses were never refilled, and they delivered our food to the wrong table because the waitress wrote down the wrong table number - no big disasters, but service could be spruced up a little bit. We really did like the atmosphere - kind of a fun joint that seems like a good place to grab a beer and some fried seafood and kick back and relax.

MY REVIEW: I'm a regular here. I love atmosphere as well as the food and drinks. The comaraderie can't be beat; from the staff to the patrons.

Family freindly, as well as night time adult fun...I find it versatile and fun no matter what I am looking for. Crawfish season is here..so I'll be there..A LOT!

MY REVIEW: Good seafood - not spectacular but good. I had the crawfish etouffaye and cup of chicken and sausage gumbo. It was good. I consumed it all and it hit the spot. I like a dark/thick roux - Paul's was a little on the light side but still good. My favorite part was the restaurant setting and environment. Very nice staff, good service, great TV's for sports. I did not drink but the bartenders were mixing them up well. I will be back to eat and just to hang out. Great set up.

MY REVIEW: Love the seafood there, the stuffed snapper is my favorite! I like that they start you off with a teaser of their onionrings, this always makes me want more. Staff was great, very friendly, cute place off Highway 6, very easy to pull into in 5pm traffic.

MY REVIEW: Awesome place. As soon as we arrived we were seated very fast and our drinks were prompt. We had the buffalo wings for our appetizer and WOW, unbelievable. That was the start to a wonderful dinner. The wait staff was very courteous and the owner came and asked how everything was. Very nice gentleman and a great place to take the kids for a fun dinner. My family will be going back to Paul's Boat very soon. Parking A+, Food A, Drinks A+, Service A+, and Price A+++.

MY REVIEW: Food was okay, not great. Service was absolutely terrible. Sat down for over 20 minutes before someone served us. If they had been busy, this would be understandable, but there were very few people in there (I guess most people have wised up to this place). The food took forever (over 25 minutes for raw oysters and another 15 for the entrees) to come out and they didn't even complete the entire order. Will never return.

MY REVIEW: Service: Non-existent. It was a Saturday night and the place was practically empty. Nevertheless, that didn't stop us from getting the worst service ever. Our server never came to check on us. We made the mistake of ordering our beverages first and not our entrees at the same time; thus, after our beverage order, we waited about 15 mins for the server to return with our beverage. We knew never again to allow that to happen, so we ordered everything we wanted, entrees, desserts, all at the same time knowing that our server was not gonna come back anytime soon. Oh, and waiting for the check? We just gave up and walked inside and said we needed to be somewhere and needed to pay now.

Food: We got the sampler. Everything we ordered except the onion rings were not very good. It took about 15 mins just to get our appetizers out to us. Calimari was decent, but the sauces included were bland. The entree itself was way too spongy and chewy. Now we were starting to understand why this place was empty on a Saturday night.

Decor: Plenty of parking! Well, that's because the smart ones stay away from this place. Also, a restaurant in a boat always looks fun. Too bad food and service is Paul's Boat achilles' heel.

MY REVIEW: Paul's Seafood & Oyster boat was a sort of unique place. It's setting went well with it's theme. I especially like the outdoor/indoor choice. It reminded me of an old fashioned eat out joint that fits any budget. I think there should be more paved parking to prevent mudding shoes when the weather is rainy. The shrimp po-boy I ordered was good and so was the menu selection. I would definetly visit again. As a matter of fact, I will be visiting tonight. I love the entertainment (kareoke) on Fridays.

MY REVIEW: Visited Paul's for the first time on a Fri. nite (in Lent). We sat for over 20 mins., not 1 employee acknowledged us (no water, no menu, not a word), and several were working. I finally went over to a group of waiters/waitresses all standing around the register (approx. 5-6 employees). I asked if we could be waited on and one waitress snapped at me, saying that they were very busy. That was a true statement. I proceeded to ask if they couldn't wait on us, then to just let me know, so we could go elsewhere. Finally a waiter brought menus, we ordered, and the food took another 35 min. to arrive & one entree was incorrect. Eventually when we got our food it was all very tasty & fresh. One of the few places in Houston that seems to know how to fry seafood, crispy. Several different types of music were very loud and conflicting with each other. Conversations had to be shouted across tables. I loved the food but all else left alot to be desired.

MY REVIEW: I am a member of a ladies motorcycle group called Dangerous Curves. We have had our meetings at Paul's Boat once a month for the past two years. I'll admit we tried other restaurants but quickly returned. Their food is excellent, the service is awesome, we are always made to feel welcomed, and their margarita's are always fantastic, and on special.... Thanks for having us.

MY REVIEW: I just moved in the area and wanted seafood and found paul's seafood open late still serving great food. I ordered the shrimp etoufee and mexican oysters and the service was excellent and the food was even better. If you never had mexican oysters i challenge you to try them. I will definetly be back with me and my friends. Nice deck area to enjoy music and food. I love this place.
