MY REVIEW: First time for me, my wife and eight year old. Nice decorations and play area for kids. Salsa comes cold but the chips were good. Queso says $2.25 but the dinner price was $3.95. Chicken fajitas were dry and tasteless. Chicken flautas were very good. Margarita and a Dos X's - $9.50. Wife liked the margarita. Plan on going back just to sit in the center area where there is more ambiance and also to try something else than the fajitas. Fajitas at Los C*ucos are much better and has better combinations.

MY REVIEW: The place is very cute- really feels like you are in Mexico. The food is not great- but it's not horrible. If you are looking for ambiance and a crowded place on the weekends THIS IS YOUR PLACE. The margaritas are a bit sweet- I have started asking for them to hold the gallon of sweet and sour in my rita. Funny to say I have never been impressed with the place but due to its features I bring people constantly.

MY REVIEW: ONCE IS ENOUGH FOR ME! We normally take the kids to Los T*ios on Friday nights but decided we needed a change of pace. BIG MISTAKE! There are no kids menus/crayons to entertain the kids. They were out of to-go lids so the kids had to drink out of adult glasses...got lucky with no spills. The margaritas were sweet.... not good if you don't like sweet margs. The waiter was ok but not that friendly and not that attentive. I read on the reviews that the tacos al carbon were great so I ordered that. If you are salt sensitive...DO NOT ORDER THIS! They were way over-salted. The queso seemed like it came from a powdered mix but I liked the jalapenos, though not kid-friendly. Luckily, my husband ordered a shrimp dish (matzalan)which was good (thank God)! Houston has too many good restaurants to eat here again.....and yet, as we were leaving people were showing up in droves!

MY REVIEW: the very first mexican restaurant i ever ate at was the la hacienda off of memorial (over 30 years ago) and our family went every friday night while i was growing up - now that they have one out in cypress, we are there all of the time. i don't even need to open my menu to know what i want - my 3 year old loves the play area, i love it too - i can have a margarita with the hubby on the patio and not worry about anything!! their tacos al carbon and nachos sambrosas are the bomb! we will never stop going there and we always bring our out-of-town friends here for real tex-mex food ... would recommend them to anyone who is on the hunt for cheese enchiladas as well ...

MY REVIEW: The tacos al carbon were the best we have found in town. (We eat mexican food every week, so we have tried many places). The rest of the food was very average and the "salsa" was below average. It was more like spicy enchilada sauce than a salsa for chips. Come on guys, serve SALSA and please heat it up a bit before served. It makes a huge difference!

MY REVIEW: Disclaimer : I visit the Memorial location once weekly, nearly without fail.
La Hacienda is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have found in the Houston area. You wouldn't suspect it from the bland-looking storefront or the decidedly below-par restrooms, for certain. But the friendly staff, winning margaritas (go gold, seriously), and menu where nothing is poor will delight you to no end. They have the best chili gravy, enchiladas, and pork fajitas I have found in Houston. The shrimp dishes are outstanding, the chicken is tender and moist, and it's almost always more food than you can finish.
Thursday through Saturday, 5pm to 7pm, write it off for getting a parking spot. Come Wednesday or Sunday night for a quieter experience. And note how the N*infas next door has 1/4 the traffic.

MY REVIEW: I've been here several times with friends and groups, and I must say I am really surprised at the reviews on this site. None of my family (six members) was impressed at all with the food, and we found it pricey compared to much better Mexican restaurants. I will say we have always had good service, but the two times I've spoken with a manager (not a complaint either time), he was not very friendly.

MY REVIEW: We've been eating at La Hacienda since moving to Houston in 2002. Between the four of us in our family, we've probably eaten everything on the menu and love it all!!! This is THE Mexican restaurant we take our family and friends from "up north" when they come to visit. The service is always excellent, even on Friday and Saturday nights. Affordable and yummy!

MY REVIEW: I called today 4/3/08 to make a reservation for my rehersal dinner which is 10/17/08. I was told by the manager that it was to early and he did not want to give me any information. I asked for a price list to give to my soon-to-be father in law and was sorta laughed at. Then he proceeded to ask me rudley if I had ever been there before and did I know where it was. I explained that I had and that is the reason I wanted it there. He grunted and told me it was like 11.95 per person, $20/pitchers of margaritas and only bottled beer. 1st off, I would not have minded the prices but the way I was treated, I will never eat there again. For someone to be so rude to anyone is beyond me. All I did was ask for a round a bout price. It is sad becasue my family has frequented this place and we love the food but for a manager to be that rude to someone who is already stressed out about planning a wedding to me is unforgivable. If they were to busy at the time, he could of told me to call back or taken my name and number. Never again will they get my business.

MY REVIEW: This place never disappoints me. They have the best regular ol' TexMex beef enchiladas in the world, always piping hot. Both styles of chiles rellenos are great. The vegetable fajitas (yellow squash, zucchini, carrots, mushrooms, onions, green/red bell pepper, and more)are outstanding and for a little extra you can get a pile of beef or chicken fajitas thrown on top (I always need a doggie bag on this one). I've tried all of the different shrimp dishes too and they are very good. But the highlight of every visit is the chiles torreados (four fresh jalapenos lightly fried, no breading, and served in soy sauce, and only $1.00)... hot, hot, hot! I don't even have to order them now, they just bring 'em out. Dina says she likes to watch me cry! The staff is very friendly and attentive. And the margaritas are great too. The only downside is that they are packed on Friday nights.

MY REVIEW: Went at lunch with a co-worker, got queso as an appetizer, a taco and a small bowl of chicken soup. The food and service was great! We munched on the queso it is the best and ate the taco. The soup was a wonderful surprise. Excellent chicken, lots of veggies...squash, bell peppers. It came in a large size for a small order and had a side of rice. I ended up taking it home for dinner. Completely Pleased.

EVEN THOUGH WE WERE A LARGE GROUP (PARTY OF 20) THEY KEPT OUR DRINKS FILLED AND HOT CHIPS AND GREEN SALSA COMING. I NEVER ORDER CHICKEN FAJITAS UNTIL NOW. THEY ARE THE BEST-SOOOOOOOOO TASTY! MY LIL' GIRL LOVED THE PLAYGROUND! I WILL RECOMMEND THIS HIDDEN TREASURE TO EVERYBODY I KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheesy looking store front unbecoming a memorial establishment but fits the mold of the other business's in this strip mall.

MY REVIEW: The cheese enchiladas are soooo good. Most plates come with "guacamole salad", which is a scoop of guacamole on a bed of shredded lettuce. It is obviously homemade and delicious. Everything is good. I've never been disappointed. The service is excellent as well, even on busy nights. The prices are very affordable too. Once I discovered La Hacienda, I go about once a week.

MY REVIEW: I have been going to La Hacienda since they opened up this location on Telge. I have been in the restaurant industry since i was a little girl and have always been the BEST person to say if a cheese enchilada is good or bad. My first time to go here was during the first week openeing. The cheese enchiladas were AMAZING!!! I love this place. I live downtown now, and rave about how great the food it here. I have yet to find better mexican food in Texas. If you do not try this one out than you are really missing out on the best food ever!!!

MY REVIEW: My first visit was in 1980, but my husband and I have been regulars for the last 12 years. Rene' the manager is such a very kind man; years ago he always waited our table until he was promoted. The food is like none other, my husband and I have yet to find a Mexican restaurant with the flavors La Hacienda has, we even rate them over Mi T*ierra's in San Antonio, and they are excellent. The wait staff is always friendly and they always take care of you. If you have children, the kids love to sing and dance to the music by the karaoke singer. I love this location and prefer it over the Telge location.

MY REVIEW: Best taco salad I have found in Houston so far. Not the usual "more salad then taco", they hook it up pretty good. I'd go with fajitas when it comes to meat selection on any menu item. The salsa sauce is so/so, not the best but ok. Authentic mexican food.

MY REVIEW: My husband and I live in Round Rock Texas. We have family and friends that live in the Houston area. Everytime we go to Houston we ALWAYS stop and eat at La Hacienda. They have the absolute most fabulous cheese enchaladas and margaritas. Tt is probably a good thing we do not live in Houston or I would be there everyday. The wait staff has always been very polite and friendly. This is the best mexican food I have ever tasted.

MY REVIEW: The weak points is that it is hard to find a parking space!! The food is excellent!! It is real homemade flour tortillas, NOT STORE bought. The staff is always friendly and nice. I have been going there for over four years and never had one bad experience. The maragaritas are excellent! I especially love the margarita with the strawberry swirl. It is the best mexican restaurant in the cypress area.

MY REVIEW: It looks cheesy with the guy playing music and singing karaoke in the front, but what a pleasant surprise with the food. I love Mexican food and this place was really good. The chips were freshly made and thin and crispy. The salsa was really tasty and they gave us a cup of queso as a gift of the holidays. I had the shrimp platter and the 6 shrimp were huge and very fresh. My boyfriend ordered the quail and that was the best I've ever had. Juicy and nicely marinated, it was hard for me to stop with just one piece.
Definitely recommended!

MY REVIEW: I went with co-workers for lunch. I ordered the Pollo Loco -- it arrived on a sizzling, hot platter smelling great. Unfortunately, it tasted very bland. It looked like they added the sauce/mexican seasonings, but no salt and pepper at all. The margarita on the rocks was pretty decent -- I've had better and worst. The bathroom smelled of "old yuk." I won't be going back.

MY REVIEW: This place is amazing. When it comes to Cheese Enchiladas I am into old school tex mex. They are the best I have ever had at La Hacienda. I used to swear by Los T*ios Cheese Enchiladas, but now I am all about La Hacienda.
If I want more upscale menu items like Fajitas I hit the higher end Mexican joints. When I want down home finger lickin good enchiladas La Hacienda is the place for me.
